CAS360 - SNOWY GIFT

Hey there, I'm back with another card for the SCS CAS challenge, ice and/or snow.  Seriously...WSD has THE cutest snowmen ever!  I'm so glad I finally got to ink Baymont up!

This cutie pie was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  I'm not sure why the die cut appears to be a circle...it really is an oval.  Weird, huh?  Love the new scallops from My Favorite Things!  *swoon*  It really doesn't get much easier than this as far as layouts go!  I cut two strips then colored them with Copic markers to match the red in the image.  A single snowflake with a silver rhinestone colored with R43 completes the card.

CAS360 - FROSTY'S FRIEND

Hey there, I missed playing in Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge last week because I was at CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) in Anaheim, California!  What a great time...we were super busy, and sooo very tired.  Good times, lots of laughs!  This week's challenge is all about snow and ice.  I couldn't decide between two cutie patootie snowmen from Whipper Snapper Designs; so, I used them both and made two cards!  LOL

This first card uses Snowman Harmony.  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  I kept the layout super basic.  A die cut flag was colored with Copics to tie into the image and a few snowflakes is all this card needs.  Wink of Stella adds a little shimmer to the shadows of the snowman and a clear glaze pen was used on the candy canes, holly berries, reindeer's nose and hoofs.

COPIC COLORING:
SNOWMAN, SNOW:  BG70, BV20  CARROT NOSE:  YR18, YR15  HAT, GLOVES:  C6, C4, C2, C0, E55, E53, E51, R56, R46, R43, G46, G43, G40  BUCKLE:  Y28, Y26, Y23  VEST:  C6, C4, C2, C0, E55, E53, E51  SCARFS:  E55, E53, E51, R56, R46, R43, G46, G43, G40  HOLLY/BERRIES:  G46, G43, G40, R56, R46, R43  REINDEER:  E57, E55, E53, E51, C6, C4, C2, C0

CAS356 - SNOW WILSON

Hey there, it's time for this week's CAS challenge, Some People are Worth Melting For, to use a snowman on your project.  I've had Tom & Jerry from Whipper Snapper Designs for a while and have been hoping to ink it up.  Do you remember that old tv show, Tool Time?  This stamp totally reminded me of when Wilson, the neighbor, would peek over the fence to talk with the Taylors'.  *grin*  The fun layout is Freshly Made Sketches #217 and was perfect for this image!  I'm also entering this into the Color Throwdown #373 ~ Any Christmas Creation, Any Colors.

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut and set aside.  The bottom portion of the background panel was masked, liquid masking fluid was spritzed and after it dried, Summer Sky was sponged then the liquid mask was removed revealing a snow-filled sky.  The snowman/bird were glued to the back of the fence then popped up on foam.  A Copic Multiliner was used to complete the snowman's mouth because it showed behind the "dog-eared" fence.

COPIC COLORING:
SNOWMAN, SNOW:  BV20, BG70  NOSE:  C6, C4, C2, C0  TOP HAT:  C6, C4, C2, C0, B37, B34, B32, R56, R46, R43  BUCKLE, BELL, BEAK, FEET:  Y28, Y26, Y23  BIRD:  B37, B34, B32  HAT:  R56, R46, R43, C2, C0

CAS354 - SNOW FUN

Hey there, back with card number two for the Evergreen CAS challenge at SCS...this was the layout I was telling you about.  I created it by spritzing the panel with masking fluid, letting it dry then sponging Pistachio and Bamboo Leaves over the top.  The snow-filled sky pops after the mask is gently rubbed off.

The adorable Snowflake image is from C.C. Designs.  Don't you love her rosy cheeks?  She was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  The snowflakes have Clear Wink of Stella and a silver rhinestone in the center.  The layers were all popped up on foam.

COPIC COLORING:

CAS354 - JOLLY HOLLY-DAYS

Hey there, I've got two cards to share with you today.  They are both for this week's Evergreen, monochromatic greens, CAS challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  I actually made a different background for this cutie pie, but it was too much white and I just wasn't feeling it.

Frosty is from C.C. Designs and is so much fun to color!  He was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  In keeping with the "green" theme, the snowman suit was colored with my favorite snow combo...green...blue green to be more precise.  Mask It was used to cover the bottom portion of the panel then a liquid masking fluid was spritzed with a toothbrush.  After it was dry, Pistachio was sponged over the top then I used my finger to rub off the masking fluid after it was done.  I actually got this idea for the layout from a card that Kim O'Connell recently made.  Love it!  I left off the sequins and added a die cut element in the corner.  Well, I guess that's about it.

COPIC COLORING:
SKIN:  E11, E00, E0000, R30  HAIR:  C7, C5, C3, C1  HAT:  C7, C5, C3, C1, YG95, YG93, YG91  SCARF, HOLLY:  YG95, YG93, YG91  CARROT NOSE:  YR18, YR15, YR12  BUTTONS:  C7, C5, C3, C1  SNOWMAN SUIT:  BV20, BG70

LLLC - PEACE GIFT BAG

Hey there, it's been a quick last couple of months and all good things must come to an end.  This is my last post as La-La Land Crafts Guest Design Team member.  Thank you, Debbie Pamment, for inviting me to be a part of such a super nice group of ladies...so flippin' talented!  Today's challenge, Add Roses.  I really, really LOVE making flowers, so this was right up my alley!  *grin*  Kick back, I've got a handful of pictures to share with you.  I decided to make a gift bag using Winter Princess Marci.

Here's a close up of just the colored image and die cut pieces.  LLLC's Lattice Doily Border is absolutely perfect for adding bling!  Check out all those rhinestones!  What you can't see in the photo, is all the shimmer!  All of the white parts of Marci's dress, the doily die cuts and the white flourishes are covered with Clear Wink of Stella.

Here is an angled view...such dimension with those flowers!  The sentiment was cut directly from the Copic colored banner.  I cut 4-5 sentiments from white cardstock then "inlaid" the sentiment.  Cool effect!
OMGosh...how beautiful is that Mini Hybrid rose from My Favorite Things?  *swoon*  The rose was colored to match Marci's dress.
This one is a tad bit blurry, but you get the gist.  The veins of the poinsettia were colored with Copic markers then it was shaped.  The rose is just the center part to the MFT Mini Hybrid Rose.  It has the perfect hidy hole for it to peek out!

COPIC COLORING:
SKIN:  E11, E00, E0000, R30  HAIR:  Y23, YR30  DRESS, CROWN, SCEPTER:  BV29, BV25, BV23, BV20, 0  FLOWERS:  BV23, BV20, 0

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks again to Debbie and La-La Land Crafts!

Hey there, happy Monday!  Time for La-La Land Crafts Take Two challenge, to use two images.  Christmas Lantern Marci is a cutie pie, for sure!

Marci was stamped with Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  The sky has masking fluid spritzed on it then dried before it was sponged with blue inks.  The mask was gently removed to reveal a cool, snow-filled sky.  The trees were colored, fussy cut then glued onto the background.  The snowdrifts were lightly sponged between layers and Marci was popped up to complete the card.

CAS349 - BEARY SNOWY DAY

Hey there, just stopping in for this week's CAS challenge, Time to Hibernate.  Lee wants us to use an animal that hibernates, your favorite cozy blanket, a warm sweater and socks...something that represents hibernating this time of year.  Sooooo many possibilities!  I went with My Favorite Things Birthday Bears on this one, turning them into polar bears.  Sweet little guys, huh?  *grin*

The bears were stamped with Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  The window was die cut with MFT Jumbo Peek-a-boo Circle Window...love that die!  Masking fluid was sprinkled on the back panel, allowed to dry then sponged with blue inks.  The mask was removed by gently rubbing my finger over it allowing the snow-filled sky to show through.  A couple Impression Obsession's snowflakes completes the card.

CAS CHRISTMAS MAKE 'N TAKES

Hey there, guess what...I've combed blogland and Pinterest and found TONS of inspiration for CAS (Clean and Simple) Christmas cards!  For those that like to make your cards in advance or for all the procrastinators out there (yep, that's me...*guilty*), I've decided to put together some Make 'N Take kits to sell at Memories of Time...you can make them in the store any time during business hours or make them from the comfort of your own home!  Watch for Cami to post details on the blog soon!

This first card was CASED from yours truly.  My friend, Cathy, loved this card that I made while on Splitcoaststamper's Dirty Dozen (you have to be an SCS Fan Club member to see it).  Don't you just love a white on white Christmas card?  It doesn't get much easier than this!  I made stickers out of the letters using Scor-Tape...my new fav thing!  The snowflake was layered then popped up on foam and topped off with a Crystal Sparklet.

MFT dies make this next CAS layout a snap!  Doodlebug paper was used for the snow-filled sky while MFT dies create the winter scene.  The sentiment stamp is from Our Craft Lounge and is no longer available.  The snowdrifts were layered with foam, Stickles were applied to the edges of the snow/trees and silver rhinestones complete the card.

Christmas!  She challenged us to use an elf, animals or children who are being mischievous.  Thanks, Alison, for giving me the incentive to get this one done!

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  The ornament has a few layers of Sakura Clear Glaze pen on it for a nice, subtle shine.  The only thing I had to do to finish this was to color the background then layer it all...the rest was already done!

DEC13VSNA, DEC13VSNH, DEC13VSNI - VALERIE'S SNOW DAY

Hey there, these are my last VSN challenge projects for the day unless I can finish the one that's sitting on my desk (no pressure!).  This one post contains three of the challenges.  I recently purchased the Valerie digi set from Mo's Digital Pencil and I couldn't wait to color them!  Waaayyyy too sweet!  To conserve time, I used the same Copic markers and pattern paper on all three cards...I just changed up the layout.  Love this color combo for Christmas!

This first one is for Alison's (newstampinaddict) It's a Snow Fight challenge.  We were to incorporate a snowball or even a snowball fight into our projects.  The image is Valerie with Snowball...she was sized then printed and colored with Copic markers.

This second card is for Lee's (LuvLee) challenge, Snow Falling in Color.  The challenge was to create snow in any form (stamped, Flower Soft, Stickles, Liquid Applique, etc.), but make it in color...not white!  The image, Valerie with Snowman, includes Copic colored snow.  Just in case that wasn't enough, a die cut snowflake was added after it was colored with Copic markers.  A Sparklet that was colored with V95 completes the card.
