Hey there, I still have a couple more cards that I haven't had an opportunity to share for the Dare To Get Dirty challenges. I'll post those within the next couple days...I promise! Today, I thought I would share another card I made for Dina's challenge. You need to be a Fan Club Member to see the challenge details. Head on over to SCS to sign up so you can play along!
I used my MISTI to stamp the poinsettia onto both the card base and main panel. The main panel was colored with Copic markers before a Clear Wink of Stella pen was used in the deepest parts of the shadows. Several coats of clear glaze pen was used for a little extra dimension on the flower center and berries. This was a fun card to make!

Hey there, it's here...it's here...the big day! Not only is it Release Day for all 21 of those fabulous stamp and die sets...it's Taylored Expressions ACTUAL birthday! 5 years today. Whoop! Now where did I put those party hats? *sigh* No worries, we don't need them to play the next party game. Are you ready to play What's Different? Head on over to Taylor's blog for details, including info on how to win some prizes! But first I have a card to share with you...

OMGosh...are you in love with the Totally Tags - Occassions set? There are nine new tags to play with in this set, and it's the 6th set in the Totally Tags collection which coordinates with the Totally Tags dies. Have you ever wondered how to make a shaped die cut card without having a flat edge where the card opens? It's really pretty easy! Using the largest die in the Bloomin Stacklets 1 set, cut two pieces of paper (one pattern paper and one white card stock for the back of the card). Score the white card stock towards the top then adhere the scored section to the pattern paper. Easy peasy and no flat edge! The orange layer was die cut with the Totally Tags die and the daisy image was stamped with Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut and popped up on foam. What's a flower without leaves? They were die cut using Mega Leaves then adhered to the inside. Love those fun, bright colors! The pattern paper is actually from the Halloween Project Pantry Kit...pretty awesome you can use it for other projects besides Halloween, huh? *grin*

Hi there stampers! Long time between posts...I'm finding it difficult to juggle work, family, exercise (now that the weather is getting better), sleep, classes and my blog. I'm sure it will all work out, but what does everyone else do to find balance? I wanted to do a quick post this morning to share a card I made over the weekend using an Our Craft Lounge set called Nature's Note. I seriously LOVE this butterfly!
To make this project, I stamped the first and third butterflies with Memento ink on Neenah card stock. They were masked with sticky notes then the second and fourth butterflies were stamped. One additional butterfly was stamped on a scrap and cut out. All of the butterflies were colored with Copic markers and one was popped up.
To make the background panel, I used a Stampendous Marble Cube. I've had it for a long time but have never inked it up. It's really easy to use...it has three rubber sides (A, B and C) and you stamp in that order from lightest to darkest ink. Easy peasy! I have one more project to share, but I'm afraid that will have to wait...I'm off to work now. Got to go support my habit, huh?
