Hey there, it's time for another fun challenge over at Pile It On! and this week we're all about fuzzy friends...we hope you'll dig out your favorite animal images and play along! I just picked up this cool Our Craft Lounge set called Jungle Love and I've been wanting to get it inky. Michelle from Memories of Time is having her first challenge...Be Mine Valentine Bingo and she's offering some awesome prizes! She emailed me a couple days ago and challenged me to a blackout. It was a little tricky and I had my doubts, but I pulled it off! *woot* Check it out...I was able to include glitter (card stock), pearls, Sparkly Fluff, ribbon, a heart, sponging, red, baker's twine AND Glossy Accents (on the lion's nose). Whew...that's a lot! LOL! There's still time if you want to play along. You only need a bingo to participate, but if you can make a blackout...even better! Check out the MOT blog for more details.
Here's the inside...the monkey was masked and the sentiment heart was reverse masked then sponged.

Hey there, it's time for another challenge at Pile It On! Since we're still in holiday mode, we wanted to make it nice and easy on you...so Anything Goes!
With Christmas behind us and Valentine's Day right around the corner, I decided to make a card to celebrate St. Valentine. Have you ever admired a stamp set so long that you finally break down and get it? That was me with this one. Our Craft Lounge just came out with a fabulous new Valentine release, and they are all so much fun to work with, but I couldn't help but be drawn to this Wanted set. I really wanted to get it last year, but Valentine's Day came and went and I never got around to picking it up. Not this year though...woohoo...I couldn't wait to ink it up! The barbed wire is something new for me too (a link to the tutorial can be found in the "Supplies/Techniques" section). I've been wanting to try it for a while but didn't have the right stamp set to go with it. The cowboy boots have been "ghosted" onto the background panel. Love it! There is a link below to explain how to do it. The only thing I did different is use Neenah card stock and heat set craft (pigment) ink instead of VersaMark. I suppose I could have gotten a similar effect with VersaMark on colored card stock...but that's not nearly as much fun as getting inky! *snort*
