Hey there, I had some time to color today and thought I would play along with this week's My Favorite Things Sketch #270. Birdie Brown's little chefs are waaayyyy too cute!
The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers. The MFT Boutique Window was die cut from Neenah, the grid was cut out of the center of the window to allow more of the image to show through and was also colored with Copics. The sentiment was embossed and a sponged brick wall completes the card.

Hey there, just popping in with a project for Julie's CAS challenge, Outside the Box, to have an element extend off the card base. I decided to extend a small twine bow.
This adorable little bunny was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam. Her eyes have clear glaze for a subtle shine. The die cuts are from My Favorite Things and the little bow completes the card.

Hey there, the girls at my LSS, Memories of Time, are wanting some 3D flower classes. Perfect timing for this week's CAS challenge, Preparing for Spring, celebrating the daffodil. Susan's Garden Notes dies from Ellen Craft Designs are perfect, am I right!?! *grin*
The background was stamped with Espresso Truffle ink and My Favorite Things Wood Plank background. Two Grapevine Wreath Ovals were die cut, shaped with my fingers then layered one on top of the other. Prills were used on a few of the branches for a little extra color.
The daffodil and tulips were die cut from Bazzill cardstock then shaped with Susan's Tool Kit. The sentiment is from MFT and the little, tiny ladybug was made from Viva Perler Pens.

Hey there, happy Sunday! Believe it or not...I have THREE cards for this week's CAS challenge, Won't You Call Me Sweetheart, to create a Valentine and include a heart. Have you seen the super cute Stamping Bella Stuffies? This is Harry...he's totally adorable! This card also fits into this week's Bellarific Friday Love is in the Air challenge.
Harry was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers. I'm in LOVE with My Favorite Things Mini Scallop Stax! I just can't get enough of them!

Hey there, I've got two cards to share with you today. They are both for this week's Evergreen, monochromatic greens, CAS challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. I actually made a different background for this cutie pie, but it was too much white and I just wasn't feeling it.
Frosty is from C.C. Designs and is so much fun to color! He was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. In keeping with the "green" theme, the snowman suit was colored with my favorite snow combo...green...blue green to be more precise. Mask It was used to cover the bottom portion of the panel then a liquid masking fluid was spritzed with a toothbrush. After it was dry, Pistachio was sponged over the top then I used my finger to rub off the masking fluid after it was done. I actually got this idea for the layout from a card that Kim O'Connell recently made. Love it! I left off the sequins and added a die cut element in the corner. Well, I guess that's about it.

Hey there, happy Sunday! I'm popping in with this week's CAS challenge card, Football Season. So...what good is a football game without their dedicated, and somewhat crazy, fans? This Duck fan would fit right in at our house on game day! I think I need to get one of those fingers! *grin* There is a saying here in Oregon...it never rains at Autzen Stadium. That's where I got my inspiration to create a stenciled sunburst behind the colored panel.
The background was made using MFT's Sun Ray stencil and Dandelion ink. Once the stencil was removed, it was sponged again to soften the white space. The image was stamped onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers. A second foam had was stamped, colored, fussy cut then popped up on an Action Wobble...so fun!

Hey there, *squeal*...See what I did there? Ha! I finally get to show you this cutie pie! I made this for Anna's (aka sweetmissdaisy) Dare To Get Dirty challenge. Think you know what the challenge is? Head on over to Splitcoaststampers and sign up to be a Fan Club Member to see specific challenge details. LOVE this card!
Two tags were cut from Neenah Solar White to make up the main panel. One was colored with Copic markers for the sky, while the other was cut with My Favorite Things Rolling Hills die before being colored and layered onto the sky tag along with that awesome fence! The pig was stamped on the grass (so I wouldn't have to cut the tail) then two more were stamped on Neenah, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. One was placed directly over the stamped pig and the other was adhered to the back of the tag. The sentiment was heat embossed on black card stock.
MFT's Gingham Background stamp was used to stamp a fishtail tag then layered. Twine and ribbon completes the card. It doesn't get much easier than this, but it's cute, cute, cute!

Hey there, are you ready for a week of Dare To Get Dirty creations? Splitcoaststampers Dirty Girls, past and present, have come up with some amazing challenges! If you want to know specific challenge details, you need to become a Fan Club member if you aren't already.
I created this card as a tribute to my mom who lost her battle with cancer eight months ago. I miss her every day, and well, this sentiment from My Favorite Things pretty much says it all!
So...this card is for my very own challenge! I absolutely adore Susan's Gardens flower dies...they look so realistic! The sponging and popped up frame are exactly what this card needed. The ladybug was made using Viva paints and was the perfect finishing touch.
Here's a side view so you can really see the dimension. So pretty!

Hey there, I packed up a bunch of stuff and had good intentions on getting in some crafty time on our camping trip this weekend, but that didn't work out as planned. *sigh* After we made it home and unpacked yesterday, I broke out the flamingo and hibiscus dies from My Favorite Things. So much fun to color, and I absolutely love that 3D flower!
The inside circle was sponged with Memento Angel Pink and Rose Bud inks. Gosh, I can't remember the last time I sponged anything. I need to break out the inks more often...I really love to sponge! The flamingo and hibiscus were cut from Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers. The flower was shaped with Susan's Garden Tool Kit...it gives it a very realistic look, don't you think?

Hey there, I'm back again with a super cute Paper Smooches image. Love this guy colored up! I had something totally different in mind for the layout, but it just wasn't working. That is until I saw this layout on the Sweet Sunday Sketch FB page yesterday...it pulls all of the elements in and really makes it work! Love a good sketch!
The owl was stamped with Tuxedo Black on to Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. The branch is a Magnolia Doohickeys tree die that is absolutely perfect for a perch and also colored with Copics! The background layer is My Favorite Things Woodgrain Background stamped on Kraft card stock, and the night sky paper is my all time favorite Graphic 45 that is actually a Halloween line. Love it! A quick punch for the moon and a MFT rose die completes the card.

So...let's talk about gnomes...you either like them or you don't. Am I right?!? I have some gnomes in my garden, so I guess I would be in the "not a hater" category. My preference is the cute, little guys...not the creepy, sneaky ones that like to play tricks when you aren't looking! *snort* Anyway, have you seen MFT "You Gnome Me" illustrated by Birdie Brown? Amazingly adorable, I tell ya! I couldn't wait to break out my markers for this one! Yep, that's right...I colored! Ha!
Blueprints 16 was used to cut the background panel. A Stitched Circle Frame was cut from Kraft and white card stock. The Kraft pieces were stamped with the Woodgrain Background. Acetate encloses the "window" while the white frame finishes the inside. The new Simple Leaf Flourishes is the perfect touch to lay down the base for the greenery. The red rose is the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose and I absolutely love how it can be shaped to look so realistic! QC Fringed Mum and Magnolia leaves were used as filler too complete the card front.
Here's the inside...the stitched panel was cut with Blueprints 21, stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah then colored with Copic markers. I really had a blast coloring this!

Hey there, goodness, it's been FOREVER since I've crafted! Ugh! It was a rough 2014...and 2015 didn't start out that great either! Things are finally starting to settle back down, but I definitely have a busy year coming up! I've missed hanging out with my crafty peeps at Memories of Time, so I decided to break out my Copics and teach a coloring class! *gasp* Is everyone else going through Whipper Snapper withdrawals or is it just me? LOL! Here's a little something to fix us right up!
The image is Home "Tweet" Home, and it's just too cute for words! That dopey little frog just kills me! OK, confession time...I did say I've been busy and haven't had any crafty time...I actually colored this in the fall and just haven't had time to share. I went on a week long coloring spree and this is just one of the cards that I made. Yep, I've been holding out on you! There is more Whipper Snapper yummy-ness I still need to share, but I'll save that for another day!

Hey there, sooo, what's everyone doing for World Card Making Day? I'll be hanging out with the girls at Memories of Time (MOT) celebrating the store's "Grand Re-Opening". The store sold a few months ago, and we're super excited that Rhea bought it! She's determined to keep it "Our Happy Place"...woohoo, Rhea! So if you're going to be on the Oregon Coast this weekend...stop by and hang out with us!
My project for the Make-N-Takes will be these fun treat bags from Taylored Expressions. Super cute, huh?
Gotta love how adorable the bat is! The wings are easily shaped with fingers and can even be pulled in tighter around the body. So fun!
Here's Frankie! He was a lot of fun to make. His face can literally be made up so many different ways it's unbelievable!
I know the monster isn't necessarily for Halloween...but done up in orange and purples and it totally screams Halloween! And how about that plaid tongue!?!
Whatever you do on World Card Making Day, I hope it's crafty! Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there, boy that Cami...she's a mean one! She actually cracked the whip on me today, and well...I kind of liked it! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! She told me I needed to get out of my funk and get to blogging again. So here I am, doing what she told me to. *grin*
Before I share mine and Cami's project, I figured I would let you know why I have been MIA and haven't been lurking in blog land. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in January. We've been busy doing the doctor thing and trying to figure out her best method of treatment. We found out she was not a candidate for surgery at this time. That was VERY disappointing news! Her health isn't good enough right now, so she was instructed to start chemo and blood thinners then go back in six months for another evaluation. That was last month and she just now (yesterday) got started on the chemo! This has NOT been a quick process to say the least! So with that said...I haven't really been in a crafty sort of mood. *sigh* I'm hoping that will change very soon!
Enough about all that! Now...let me tell you about this super fun project that Cami and I will be teaching at Memories of Time on Saturday! OMGosh...it was a blast! We turned a mini legal pad into an adorable notepad complete with mini gel pen! If that wasn't enough, we made a matching card and envelope in case we want to give it as a gift!
I absolutely love this notebook! The flower pot and grass are Taylored Expressions dies and the words are from My Favorite Things. The bumble bee is my all time favorite bee from Our Craft Lounge. I sure do miss them! The honeycomb stencil is from Tim Holtz. We added some Distress Paint to Molding Paste and mixed it in then used a spatula to apply it. Once it was dry, we sponged some matching Distress Stain over the edges. I really love the way this notebook turned out and I can't wait to make more!
The notepad has a magnetic closure. Once you pop it open, you see the gel pen and holder.
Here's the notebook opened up. Don't you just LOVE that bumble bee paper!?! And how about those mitered corners? There's a cool tool for that!
Last but not least, here's the 4" x 4" card that we made with the matching envelope. Cute, cute, cute!
No details to share with this one. Mostly because I'm just too lazy to get up and get the supplies. Ugh! Sorry about that! If you have specific questions, you can always email me and I'll get back to you. Oh, I almost forgot...hurry up and get a hold of Cami to sign up for this class (MOT link above). You will have so much fun making it, you'll want to make another...guaranteed! Ha!
Well, thanks for stopping by!
