SB - HO HO HO

Hey there, I'm back with my last Wonderful Wednesdays project...I've had a blast this month as Stamping Bella's Guest Designer!  Love, love, love their fun stamps!  I decided to go with a CAS (Clean and Simple) layout featuring the adorable Santa has a Prezzie.  Seriously cute, huh?

Santa was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar white, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam for a little extra dimension.  He was stamped a second time on the background panel so I wouldn't have to try to cut out all those curly cue details.  The yummy Lawn Fawn plaid is the perfect paper for Santa (I've never met a plaid I didn't like...ha)!

So, I have some exciting news to share.  Hubby and I are buying a new home!  It was kind of an unexpected purchase since we weren't house shopping!  LOL  It's actually at the end of the street that we've lived on for the last 20 years.  I'm excited to get a much bigger crafty space!  We sign tonight, get the keys tomorrow and I head to Ikea on Friday!  Gotta love that, huh?  *wink*  Since we'll be in limbo for a while, this will be my last post.  I'll be sure to pop in and share pictures of my new studio in the making.  Did I mention how excited I am???  Whoop whoop!  OMGosh...there's so much to do and so many decisions to make!

CAS360 - SNOWY GIFT

Hey there, I'm back with another card for the SCS CAS challenge, ice and/or snow.  Seriously...WSD has THE cutest snowmen ever!  I'm so glad I finally got to ink Baymont up!

This cutie pie was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  I'm not sure why the die cut appears to be a circle...it really is an oval.  Weird, huh?  Love the new scallops from My Favorite Things!  *swoon*  It really doesn't get much easier than this as far as layouts go!  I cut two strips then colored them with Copic markers to match the red in the image.  A single snowflake with a silver rhinestone colored with R43 completes the card.

CAS360 - FROSTY'S FRIEND

Hey there, I missed playing in Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge last week because I was at CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) in Anaheim, California!  What a great time...we were super busy, and sooo very tired.  Good times, lots of laughs!  This week's challenge is all about snow and ice.  I couldn't decide between two cutie patootie snowmen from Whipper Snapper Designs; so, I used them both and made two cards!  LOL

This first card uses Snowman Harmony.  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  I kept the layout super basic.  A die cut flag was colored with Copics to tie into the image and a few snowflakes is all this card needs.  Wink of Stella adds a little shimmer to the shadows of the snowman and a clear glaze pen was used on the candy canes, holly berries, reindeer's nose and hoofs.

COPIC COLORING:
SNOWMAN, SNOW:  BG70, BV20  CARROT NOSE:  YR18, YR15  HAT, GLOVES:  C6, C4, C2, C0, E55, E53, E51, R56, R46, R43, G46, G43, G40  BUCKLE:  Y28, Y26, Y23  VEST:  C6, C4, C2, C0, E55, E53, E51  SCARFS:  E55, E53, E51, R56, R46, R43, G46, G43, G40  HOLLY/BERRIES:  G46, G43, G40, R56, R46, R43  REINDEER:  E57, E55, E53, E51, C6, C4, C2, C0

CAS356 - SNOW WILSON

Hey there, it's time for this week's CAS challenge, Some People are Worth Melting For, to use a snowman on your project.  I've had Tom & Jerry from Whipper Snapper Designs for a while and have been hoping to ink it up.  Do you remember that old tv show, Tool Time?  This stamp totally reminded me of when Wilson, the neighbor, would peek over the fence to talk with the Taylors'.  *grin*  The fun layout is Freshly Made Sketches #217 and was perfect for this image!  I'm also entering this into the Color Throwdown #373 ~ Any Christmas Creation, Any Colors.

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut and set aside.  The bottom portion of the background panel was masked, liquid masking fluid was spritzed and after it dried, Summer Sky was sponged then the liquid mask was removed revealing a snow-filled sky.  The snowman/bird were glued to the back of the fence then popped up on foam.  A Copic Multiliner was used to complete the snowman's mouth because it showed behind the "dog-eared" fence.

COPIC COLORING:
SNOWMAN, SNOW:  BV20, BG70  NOSE:  C6, C4, C2, C0  TOP HAT:  C6, C4, C2, C0, B37, B34, B32, R56, R46, R43  BUCKLE, BELL, BEAK, FEET:  Y28, Y26, Y23  BIRD:  B37, B34, B32  HAT:  R56, R46, R43, C2, C0

CAS355 - HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Hey there, today was a perfect (stormy) day to stay indoors and color!  Even better...my son and his girlfriend stopped by for a little visit!  That makes me a happy girl!  *grin*  Today's CAS challenge, Trim the Tree, is to use a tree image.  I took some liberties for the "tree" and used Savannah Has a Star from Stamping Bella.  Oh my, that dress was so fun to color!!!

She was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic Markers.  Clear Wink of Stella was used on the star, glass and ornaments.  A clear glaze pen was used on the glass and garland for a nice, subtle shine.  The fun layout is this week's Stamping Bella challenge.

CAS354 - SNOW FUN

Hey there, back with card number two for the Evergreen CAS challenge at SCS...this was the layout I was telling you about.  I created it by spritzing the panel with masking fluid, letting it dry then sponging Pistachio and Bamboo Leaves over the top.  The snow-filled sky pops after the mask is gently rubbed off.

The adorable Snowflake image is from C.C. Designs.  Don't you love her rosy cheeks?  She was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  The snowflakes have Clear Wink of Stella and a silver rhinestone in the center.  The layers were all popped up on foam.

COPIC COLORING:

CAS354 - JOLLY HOLLY-DAYS

Hey there, I've got two cards to share with you today.  They are both for this week's Evergreen, monochromatic greens, CAS challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  I actually made a different background for this cutie pie, but it was too much white and I just wasn't feeling it.

Frosty is from C.C. Designs and is so much fun to color!  He was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  In keeping with the "green" theme, the snowman suit was colored with my favorite snow combo...green...blue green to be more precise.  Mask It was used to cover the bottom portion of the panel then a liquid masking fluid was spritzed with a toothbrush.  After it was dry, Pistachio was sponged over the top then I used my finger to rub off the masking fluid after it was done.  I actually got this idea for the layout from a card that Kim O'Connell recently made.  Love it!  I left off the sequins and added a die cut element in the corner.  Well, I guess that's about it.

LLLC - PEACE GIFT BAG

Hey there, it's been a quick last couple of months and all good things must come to an end.  This is my last post as La-La Land Crafts Guest Design Team member.  Thank you, Debbie Pamment, for inviting me to be a part of such a super nice group of ladies...so flippin' talented!  Today's challenge, Add Roses.  I really, really LOVE making flowers, so this was right up my alley!  *grin*  Kick back, I've got a handful of pictures to share with you.  I decided to make a gift bag using Winter Princess Marci.

Here's a close up of just the colored image and die cut pieces.  LLLC's Lattice Doily Border is absolutely perfect for adding bling!  Check out all those rhinestones!  What you can't see in the photo, is all the shimmer!  All of the white parts of Marci's dress, the doily die cuts and the white flourishes are covered with Clear Wink of Stella.

Here is an angled view...such dimension with those flowers!  The sentiment was cut directly from the Copic colored banner.  I cut 4-5 sentiments from white cardstock then "inlaid" the sentiment.  Cool effect!
OMGosh...how beautiful is that Mini Hybrid rose from My Favorite Things?  *swoon*  The rose was colored to match Marci's dress.
This one is a tad bit blurry, but you get the gist.  The veins of the poinsettia were colored with Copic markers then it was shaped.  The rose is just the center part to the MFT Mini Hybrid Rose.  It has the perfect hidy hole for it to peek out!

COPIC COLORING:
SKIN:  E11, E00, E0000, R30  HAIR:  Y23, YR30  DRESS, CROWN, SCEPTER:  BV29, BV25, BV23, BV20, 0  FLOWERS:  BV23, BV20, 0

CAS353 - POINSETTIA ORNAMENT

Hey there, it's the fifth week of the month for the CAS challenges at Splitcoaststampers...so that means it's Anything But a Card!  With that, we decided to go with Christmas ornaments and/or holiday decorations.  Fun, huh?

I made snow by grating styrofoam.  Seriously quick and easy...and it looks great inside the glass ball!  The poinsettia was die cut then shaped with Susan's Garden Took Kit.  More styrofoam was glued to the poinsettia and greenery for added interest.  A little twine and a tag complete the ornament.

CAS352 - SHINE BRIGHT

Hey there, it's time for this week's CAS, Christmas Critters, challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  I've been dying to color Nacho-deer from Stamping Bella...too dang cute!  I totally CASED this layout from MFT's Stephanie Klauck.  I changed the image, sentiment and pattern paper.

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  A clear glaze pen was used on the ornament and the dog's eyes for a subtle shine.  The nose has a couple coats of clear Wink of Stella then a nice glob of Glossy Accents for added dimension.  I just LOVE the new sentiments from My Favorite Things...just perfect for this image!

Hey there, just popping in to share a card I made for La-La Land Crafts Winter Photo Inspiration Challenge.  I used Snowflake Garland Marci for today's project.

CAS350 - LITTLE SOLDERS

Hey there, it's a fun CAS challenge this week...we're supposed to create a project that reminds us of Grandma's house.  I was going through my stamps when I came across this Stamping Bella image.  It totally took me back to when I was little!  My Grandma (pretty sure I get my craftiness from her), used to love to make Christmas ornaments.  One year she made little soldiers!  This is the perfect stamp for the challenge!  *grin*

The soldiers were stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  The panel was die cut with a My Favorite Things edge die...love!  The gold panel was created with Copic markers, as was the poinsettia.  Prills were used for the flower center, and instead of bringing in more colors, I opted to color the flower's leaves black instead of the typical green.  I'm not sure if I love it, but I don't hate it either.

This card fits into the following challenges:

Hey there, happy Monday!  Time for La-La Land Crafts Take Two challenge, to use two images.  Christmas Lantern Marci is a cutie pie, for sure!

CAS349 - BEARY SNOWY DAY

Hey there, just stopping in for this week's CAS challenge, Time to Hibernate.  Lee wants us to use an animal that hibernates, your favorite cozy blanket, a warm sweater and socks...something that represents hibernating this time of year.  Sooooo many possibilities!  I went with My Favorite Things Birthday Bears on this one, turning them into polar bears.  Sweet little guys, huh?  *grin*

The bears were stamped with Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  The window was die cut with MFT Jumbo Peek-a-boo Circle Window...love that die!  Masking fluid was sprinkled on the back panel, allowed to dry then sponged with blue inks.  The mask was removed by gently rubbing my finger over it allowing the snow-filled sky to show through.  A couple Impression Obsession's snowflakes completes the card.
