Listen With Your Heart

Happy Monday!  It still is Monday, though barely!  I ended a rather hectic and un-fun day with a very fun card!

This card features the Stamapavie image Hello and a sentiment from the Flourishes set Beauty Within.   I colored my image with Copic Markers:  E37, E35, E33, E42, W7, W5, W3, RV66, RV55.

I used papers from Authentique's Lively Collection and some Chocolate Lime Candi Embellishments.

Hello!

A simple title for a Clean And Simple card for One Crazy Stamper!  My niece has a birthday coming right up....and this image is perfect!

This adorable image called Hello by Stampavie inspired my pink, black, grey and white color scheme.
I colored my image with the following Copic Markers:  110, T4, T2, N3, RV10, E42.  I used a pink Sharpie permanent marker for my phone details and used a Signo white gel pen to add the detailing on the phone back in after coloring it black.  I also highlighted kitty's eyes with the white gel pen.  Finally, I distressed the image with Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

I used a simple designer paper and some stickers to add my sentiment.  Sometimes clean and simple just strikes me, and in this case I wanted the image to shine!

Dream...... and a Giveaway!!

Good morning everybody!!! As I post this it is in the early hours of the new day , and as usual I'm up late working on new projects, but most of all I had a wonderful evening coloring with some very special friends!!!
It's Terrific Tuesday time here at One Crazy Stamper, and my card features a sweet Stampavie image by Penny Johnson entitled "Sweet Dreams".
The image is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, then colored with Copics, with the light source being the candle. Dp is from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found - Sunshine collection, the doilies are inked with either Walnut Stain, or Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, and the ribbon is from my stash. An Impression Obsession Clear Rubber Stamp set "Dare to Dream" provides the sentiment.
Before I joined the dt for One Crazy Stamper I was lucky enough to be a guest designer and I created this card -
The image "Storybook Friends" is also from Stampavie, and as a special little surprise, One Crazy Stamper has provided this image for me to give away this week. As an added bonus, I will also send the winner the stamp used to make this weeks card, so if you would like to win please leave a comment on my post today.  The winner will be announced on my post next Tuesday.

A Glimpse Back In Time

Happy Monday!   I caught myself a dandy cold over the weekend..and have no new cards to share with you for my One Crazy Stamper post....so I went back in my archives and am sharing some cards using Stampavie images that I did for a store that is no longer in business.   I could have cropped off my watermark...but I hope Lora will forgive me and y'all will overlook it this one time since I think these little ladies are just too sweet to not share with you!

The GREAT thing is...you can still get Picnics of Daisies, and the Spring is Back image is very similar in style to the second card's image!  I colored all my images with Copic markers.

In The Park

Happy Monday!  Today's card for One Crazy Stamper features a Stampavie image called In The Park.

I paired up my image with some Lily Bee Design papers from the Head Over Heels collection.  I did a tad of fussy cutting to make a fun chevron element to *hang* my swing from.  A touch of baker's twine finishes off my card.

I colored my image with Copic Markers:  E49, E47, E44, E43, E59, E57, YG17, YG07, YG03, R39, R37, R32.

Stitched Hearts and Magnetic Storage Folders Product Review

Hi All!

Supplies used:

Now for a review of this amazing product -- Magnetic Storage Folders. Lora has two types; one by Marianne Designs and the other by Joy Crafts which is pictured below and unfortunately, it is currently out of stock at the moment.

Hopefully, Lora will get some more in stock as we are all anxiously awaiting the anticipated arrival the new Spellbinders Pre-orders. These items are awesome as you can store between 9 - 10 Spellbinder die sets in each one. Whats more, you can see at a glance your different die sets and decide which one to use without opening many many packages.

Baby Kiki Fairy

Dana here and I've got one of my all time favorite images to share with you today.  I found the artist Mo Manning almost as soon as I started making cards and quickly fell in love with her images. Now many of her most popular images are available in rubber. Case in point, check out Baby Kiki Fairy available through Stampavie:
Even though I've colored her many times before every time I try something new and push myself to improve in some small way. This time I tried to get more realistic baby skin tones and I did that by adding quite a bit of R30 (copics).  I also wanted to try to get the wings to look how I wanted without the use of Stickles. Here's a close up:
After stamping with Memento Ink I used these colors:

I did use a Sakura Stardust pen to add those sparkly bits around her wings and hat. I never noticed before that her lil' hat looks like a strawberry, so that's why I went with the reds.
My patterned papers are from Bo' Bunny. I think the only other touches are my Spellbinders and some flat back pearls. My sentiment is from Amy R of CC Designs.  I don't see that particular set at the moment but LOTS of other cute ones to chose from!!
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have joined our sketch challenge this month : )
Hugs~

Sarah Kay - Roses Garden

Have you gotten a card in our challenge yet? It is such a wonderful recipe that Jacilynn chose! All you need to cook up something is:

  • 1 Image
  • 2 Designer Papers
  • 3 Embellishments (Bellies or embellies)

How cool is that?! Well I had a lot of fun playing with this card:

That is one of the amazing images by Sarah Kay for Stampavie. This is the first time I've tried stamping (with my Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black) directly onto Designer Paper before coloring with my copics.
Here's a close up so you can see what I am talking about:
That was stamped right on Bo Bunny Gabrielle paper (The other dp is not Bo Bunny). Granted, it is more like coloring on Georgia Pacific cardstock if you've ever done that.  It soaks up a little more ink and does not blend near as nice as X-Press It paper but you can color on it.  I was really happy with the final results and always LOVE to find new ways to use my copics.
Here's a close up of my bow that I dyed with my Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress Ink by just running the ink pad directly over my seam binding. Then I misted it slightly with my mini mister to get a uniform color.
That's all from me today. Make sure you come back tomorrow for more great inspiration from our marvelous team!!
Hugs~

Sarah Kay - Rose's Garden

This is your last week to enter our challenge for the month and your last week to have the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to One Crazy Stamper. Our theme for the whole month has been Flowers. My final card for the month is Rose's Garden by Sarah Kay for Stampavie.

I just love these Sarah Kay images. Because the stamp is pretty intricate I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. Rose was stamped with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and then colored with Copic markers. Here's a close up and my list of markers:

I used the flowers Lora carries here and then just added generic white buttons that I airbrushed with my copic R37. The shapes were cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilitie Die.
Thanks for taking a look and I hope you'll head over to join our challenge!

Hugs~

Sarah Kay - Penelope

We still have our Flower challenge going on for the whole month of April at One Crazy Stamper. You could have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store!!
This week I've used Penelope by Sarah Kay for Stampavie.
She was stamped first with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. Then she was colored with Copics. Here's a close up and a list of the colors I used:

The flowers were made very simply with several layers of flowers. I used quite a bit of Tim Holtz Distress Inks on this in Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade. The shape was cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you'll find time to join in our challenge ; )

Spring Is Back!

I'm sure hoping that Spring is Back! In celebration of that hope, I chose this adorable Stampavie image to showcase for One Crazy Stamper today! The challenge this month is flowers...bring on spring! Please consider joining the challenge! One lucky participant will win a generous gift certificate!

I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with the Copic markers shown below.
I used the My Mind's Eye True Blue 6x6 collection for my card. I love that though there is not a flower in the collection...I was able to make it flowery!
