Santa, is that you?!!!

Today I am showing you all a card featuring Santa????  Maybe it is him, the hat seems to be the same one Santa wears at Christmas, but why is he dressed like a lumberjack!  Inquiring minds want to know - is it really the jolly old man or an imposter.  What do you think?

This adorable image is Woodland Santa (R098) from High Hopes rubber stamps and can be purchased here.  I have stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored the image with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  Some polar white flower soft and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black give some added dimension to the card.  The image was fussy cut and then adhered to the card front that I created with My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges stencil and Mermaid Lagoon distress ink.

Card Recipe
Copics - T1, T4, T7, E01, E13, E13, R20, R24, R29, R39, E40, E42, E43, E44, B91, B93, B95, B97, Y21, Y23, Y26, YG61, YG63, YG67
Prismacolor pencils - Dark Purple, Sandbar Brown, Grass Green, White, Black, Dark Brown, Burnt Ochre

Best Wishes!!!

Hi Everyone;

It has been quite a while since I have been able to use any other mediums then Copic Markers, so I thought for today's post for One Crazy Stamper, I would try the Inktense pencils.  I also went out of my comfort zone a bit.  I used this same image on the 1st of the month, completely different layout and Copic Markers were used at that time.

I touched a wet paint brush to the tip of the Inktense pencil and transferred this to a craft sheet.  This was done a few times, so that there was a small pool of colour on the sheet.  I used a stem stitch and Hot Pink Sulky thread around the die cuts.

Supplies used:
There are still a few days left to enter this month's "Anything Goes" challenge. Please DO NOT use a Digital Image.  In the meantime, check out Lora's store One Crazy Stamper for some amazing deals.

Until next time, keep crafting.

Rosalie and Flower Soft Tutorial

Hi Everyone;

Wacky Wednesday is here again and for today's post at One Crazy Stamper, I have used this adorable stamp called Rosalie from Your Next Stamp.  I am also will be showing how to use this neat product called Flower Soft.

1.  After stamping the image with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, I coloured it with the Copic Markers.  The image was then cut using the Floral Oval die from Spellbinders.

2. Back stitch using the metallic thread.

3. Add  Lilac Distress ink to the border.

4.  Adding the Flower Soft.

Flower Soft comes in several colours mixed and single as well as ultra fine.

i. Crocus, lilac and shamrock green were slowly added to certain areas of the image. To obtain the results you would like, make sure to use the Flower Soft glue as it water soluble but also extra thick.

ii. Add the Flower Soft in sections and only do one colour at a time, otherwise the colours can become mixed and unless you want that particular combination not usable.

iii.  The Flower Soft glue bottle has a long point which is just snipped at the top to allow the glue to flow.

iv.  As the Flower Soft is quite compact in the jars, add some to a container and break it up to make it fluffy.  Add a bit of glue to the area you want to start with.

v.  I added Lilac to a small area at the top; then pressed it down and shook off the excess.  I then added more glue to the original image and added Crocus which is a combination of white, light and dark shades of  crocus.

vi. Once the Crocus has been added to the flower part, then add Shamrock Green to the leaves and stem of the flower.

Card Base
  • Cut a 6" x 12" card base and score at 6" and 9"
  • Fold in half at 6" and then fold the top at the 9" score mark to the left
  • Cut 3 pieces of white card stock -- 1 piece at 5 3/4" x 53/4" and 2 pieces  at 2 3/4" x
  • Cut 3 peices of designer paper -- 1 piece at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and 2 pieces at 2 1/2" x 5 1/2".  The designer paper is also reversible

Attach the image to one side of the front of the card and add any embellishmets

A Tranquil Moment

Hi All;

Well the weekend is almost over, and at least it hasn`t rained as much as it did during the week.  School has been out for a week and Walmart already has back to school supplies on sale.  To my mind this is way too soon -- the children need to have these months for a fun summer vacation.

Talking about vacation, I have been off this week and will be away next week.  Yeah!!! So with this in mind, and for today`s post for One Crazy Stamper I used the Tranquil Evening Set from Heartfelt Creations for the main image.  I coloured the image with Prismacolour Pencils, and used the Copic Marker BG70 Ocean Mist for the sky which doesn`t show up too well.  I also inked the edge with Sea Breeze Versa Magic Chalk and added Flower Soft Shamrock Green and Spring. The border which is called Sun-Kissed Fleur Border and Corner and is also from Heartfelt Creations.  I inked the edge with Aloe Vera Versa Mark Chalk.

Flower soft product focus

Hi All!  I have a fun product focus for you today!  One of my favorite products:  Flower Soft!

I am going to show you a cute trick with this super fun product!

First stamp your image.  If I am coloring with copics I ALWAYS use Memento Black.  I also always cut the paper into quarters so I have room for whatever I decide to do with the image.

Then color the image with whatever colors you look.

Here are the copics I used for this image.

I used the large circle nesties to cut out my image.  I emboss the image and then I sponge around the edge.  Using a pencil I draw in a line for a border for the flower soft.

I decided to use Raspberry fizz ultra fine because i loved the color!  If you want more of a shag then use regular flower soft.  Also the ONLY adhesive I use with flower soft is the flower soft adhesive because it comes out white and can be easily manipulated with your finger and it dries clear.

I use the pencil to break some up in the lid.  it is easier to sprinkle on that way.  Once I sprinkle it on I push it into the glue and try to fill any holes that may appear.

This is Kraftin Kimmie's Betty on her shag rug.

Finish up you card and you are finished!  I used Lacy circles nesties to compliment the embossed circle nesties.

Hope you liked the fun tutorial.

Have a great week!  And you still have time to enter our birthday challenge!
