WHO NEEDS A SAUNA?

Not me!

Lordy mercy, it's HOT!  Especially in my garage...and that's where I'm spending HOURS every chance I get.  I'm going through everything and getting it organized and de-cluttered.  STILL at it, you ask?  Yep!  And all by myself, for the most part because if George had a say in it, EVERYTHING would be tossed.  LOL  He's doing his part though by taking things to Goodwill or the dump or picking up more boxes, etc.  I'm going through every.single.box.  It's a slow process, but necessary.  I keep an oscillating fan blowing right on me and that helps a little, but I'm still a red-faced sweaty dirty very tired girl when I finally decide to stop for the day.

I'm pretty sure your weekend was better than mine.  Do tell....

 Hugs from the beach,

Trust me, Kat, my weekend wasn't better than yours! We got 7 inches of rain here in Chicagoland. Fortunately, we didn't get any in our house but....our hot water heater ruptured. Lots of mopping up and moving things, too! However, we were able to get a plumber out to replace it in spite of many people needing new sump pumps, etc. We were very lucky! I'm extremely tired, too!

We had spent the week in Virginia then was home for the weekend. Just this evening it was cool enough to go for a walk outside. Nicole came over to watch a movie then we went for a short walk. I am trying to build myself back up after surgery. After our walk I took Nicole to our backyard to show her all the flowers and the fish in the pond. As we rounded the corner to our backyard, Nikki said, "It feels 5 degrees cooler back here!" I kid you not.....it was so much cooler back there. We guessed that it was because Alan had watered everything and had cooled everything down. We do need rain badly. Maybe tonight!

I have been reading your blog for almost 2 years and am finally posting a comment! It is HOT here in PA as well!!! I pity the men who work outside in this heat; my husband being one of them! Loved the cartoon, btw! Lynne

Ha! Love that picture. :)
Not such a great weekend here - it was so hot and I worked all weekend. It was crazy busy, and the air at work wasn't keeping up. Even the residents were complaining about the heat and that is a rarity!

Had a very productive weekend...we moved our daughter and children from our home to an apartment! Took Friday off to get the task done...the last of her bins were taken to her home yesterday evening...

And all of that during 111 heat index! It was HOT...the whole weekend! But we did get a little rain yesterday evening which did cool things off, albeit momentarily!

We spent the weekend with a huge amount of my family at our annual Witmer weekend. But, alas, I came down with a terrible sore throat and laryngitis and could barely talk or sing all weekend - a HUGE bummer. Now it's in my sinuses too, and I want to just scream. My immune system (that I used to be so proud of) has been letting me down this past year entirely too often.

Good for you. Keep up the de-cluttering. You should charge admission to your garage I mean spa.

I'm still laughing over your descr
iption of how you look at the end of the day; just glad I'm not the only woman who looks this way after cleaning etc.

Kat, I am going to borrow your picture today; with the power surges and the high heat this is exactly how I feel this morning.

I don't know how you do it even with a fan. It is just so miserable muggy! But good job!

It's just the opposite here, I would toss everything and hubby wants to keep it all!

First... you are a blessing to me. :o)

Second... Wowzers! I'm sorry you have to deal with all that heat and humidity. Thank you for helping me appreciate the 'hot' temps I get around here. They don't feel quite so hot now.

Bob has a number of boxes he wants me to go through tomorrow. I was really dragging my feet until I read this post. I will do it!

I also got my closet cleared. How good that feels and how good it looks!

Thanks for the motivation!

Not I said the overly sweaty Hoosier. I am so proud of you for keeping up with your purging and organizing. I need to get back to it, but I'm trying to think about getting ready for vacation now.
