I'm a pretty cheerful person most of the time. I wake up in a good mood and start my day off happy. Thank goodness George is the same way. It seems the older I get, the harder it is for me to be around people who are grumps, complainers, gloom and doomers, whiners...whatever you want to call them. Every single one of us has so much to be thankful for. I always like to concentrate on the good and not the bad. How about you?
~~~~~~
I wish for you a cheerful day!
Hugs!
Kat
Me too! I can get pretty frustrated by grumpiness - I just don't get it. I like your comics.
I'm so tired of hearing other people complain about things over which they have no control. People - get over it. Just learn to accept things. Don't have to like it - just accept it.
I have this going on in my own family. I'm turning a deaf ear when I hear the whining and griping. I refuse to let other people and their bad moods bring me down.
Life is too short to worry about things I can't control. Not gonna do it!
I usually just watch hgtv and cooking net work,but for some reason this one caught me.
I finally got a day off and I have been cleaning all day. Taking a break to eat a bite. Hope you have a great day.
This is one of the reasons I am enjoying blogging. I haven't seem hardly any negativity and backbiting. Not like on some on line forums and such.
Have a great day!
Kat~ I said that very same thing when the news was on this morning...
"Come on! Lets look on the bright side"
Amen! Life is too short to be grumpy and rude. It takes too much energy to around such folks. Thanks for the encourgement about my travels, Kat.
Negativity is such a time waster!
Great post.
Hope you have a fabulous week.
Blessings,
Sandy :)
I think I'm pretty upbeat most of the time except when that pesky menopause sneaks up on me. LOL Good poat Kat!
That is exactly why I love you so much - you do always seem to be an optimist and so upbeat and happy. I'm sure there are times you aren't - but, you seem to love life and it is wonderful!
Take care - Kellan
I'm afraid I tend to be a "the glass is half empty" gal. I don't like that part of myself---it is hard to not be that way. It is something I have fought for years. However, I will say that since I started blogging, my spirits have been higher and my thoughts more upbeat. We've been hit by heavy duty health issues in our families, too, and it makes maintaining a happy face hard at times, but I know that being negative is certainly counterproductive to positive outcomes. I find your spirit and faith inspiring, Kat. You are certainly a role model for me! Thank you for sharing your positive self with us in blogland.
Great post! We may think we have it bad, but there is always someone who has more troubles than we do. Life is short...I want to spend it with the happy people!
I always look on the bright side too! It makes life much nicer.
Don't worry be happy !!! Hakuna Matata ;)
Kathy :)
I agree. I don't watch alot of TV either. I prefer to read the paper and then I can pick and choose what to read, usually just local things. I had to laugh when I first read the quote. I thought it said, "Cheerfulness,too, promotes health and immorality". Whaaat? I had to read it again. Maybe I'm needing some glasses :o)
So true! I hope you have a happy day Kat! xoxoxxo
Amen Sistah, Amen! Hugs to you from a cheerful me!
Sandi
I'm a pretty happy person myself.
I'm probably one of the few people who don't even own a television set.
A cheerful day to you too. :-)
Thanks for your blog. You are so right - a cheerful heart is good medicine. My Mom used to tell me that, even as a child, I have always been what she called "a worry wart". I am trying to do better and enjoy the days.
I loved the quote! And yes, I have to watch less and less news these day. I can't stand all the whining! It maybe would set differently with me if people would really effect change, but just to talk about the problems over and over just gets my goat!
