I know some bloggers make money from their blogs, although I'm not real sure how. I never dreamed when I started blogging, that mine would "pay off" too. Not in money, but good friends. I feel very blessed to connect with some great girls and two of them have come for a visit within the last six weeks. Amazing and so much fun!
Last month Rhoda was the first to come and I posted about it here and here. We didn't get to spend too much time together, but I enjoyed it so much. What a sweet and beautiful person! I enjoyed getting to meet her husband, Peter, too.
Then, last night Tracey and her family came to our home for a visit. They were vacationing nearby and made the trip over to see us. She's just as cute and funny and sweet as I knew she would be. We got to spend some time together and we were smiling and giggling from the time she came in the door. It's amazing how we instantly just bonded. I know I felt like I knew her before ever meeting her face to face. I felt the same way about Gary and Zack too. Speaking of Zack...I knew he was handsome from his pics on her blog, but let me tell you, he's even more so in person. He was a good sport too to tag along for something he probably knew wouldn't be fun for him. And then on top of that, my husband beats him in ping pong. That George...very competitive! It was great getting to meet Tracey's sweet Mom too.
When I think about it, I guess bloggers are like modern day pen pals. I think it's wonderful too. I'd love to get to meet more of my blogging buddies, so let me know if you'll be in this area so we can get together too. Maybe one day a whole group of us could plan a blogging friends weekend. That would be awesome!

How neat that you have gotten to meet two blogger friend's. I know for me the people I have "met" online have become have become like family and I hope to have a chance to meet them all in real life one day.
Have a blessed weekend and thanks for sharing.

girlfriend, I can't tell you how giddy I was at finally being able to meet you in person!
I had a wonderful time and only wish we had more time together. It was so much fun just gabbing about everything like old school girls!
But that picture, oh my! My hair was the "Florida special" FLAT stuck to my head...ya'lls water is so different! And my eyes...I look like I had been crying, but it was from laughing so much!
I loved the evening and being able to come to your house! Hopefully not for the last time my dear friend!
I'll post soon!
Hugs! ;-)

Don't be silly. You looked great! Hair and eyes. I just had my hair trimmed on Thursday and I usually don't like it for the first week or so. And I thought my eyes looked a little funky too. Must have been all the laughing! What fun!
Hugs!

I'm so happy for you two, but just a tad jealous!! It sounds like you had so much fun!! You both look great - flat hair, just-cut hair, funky eyes, crying eyes and all!!
