The Happiest Medium on PRINCES OF DARKNESS

Well, the run may be over, but praise for PRINCES OF DARKNESS continues: The Happiest Medium weighs in with thoughtful review, here. On the sound design of yours truly they say: "Before PRINCES OF DARKNESS (written and performed by Bill Connington) even begins, there’s an ambiance created by sound designer Sean Gill that does its best to set a tone of creepy nervousness. Resonating within the small theatre, which is completely draped in black cloth, is the kind of music reserved for the scenes in movies that have the most startling effect – a subtle drop of blood oozing down a table, a shadow crossing a deserted hallway. Let yourself get pulled too deeply into the sounds and you’ll find that you’ll jump when the seat behind you thuds down."

Opening this weekend in NYC: PRINCES OF DARKNESS

I recently did the sound design for a new show, PRINCES OF DARKNESS, a glitter-soaked existential cabaret (depicting the downfall of mankind) written by and starring the talented Bill Connington (www.zombietheplay.com), which will be appearing at the celebrated Theater for the New City (Manhattan- 155 First Ave, btwn East 9th and East 10th) from August 8th through the 14th.

From the press release:
It's the world premiere solo play presented by The Dream Up Festival: a blending of the tales of Hamlet, Oedipus, and Dracula, and your host for the journey is none other than Lucifer. Satan's question is, "If God is so great, why is the world such a mess?" He proposes an unusual and extreme remedy for the problem.

PRINCES OF DARKNESS is written and performed by Bill Connington, directed/choreographed by Rachel Klein, with sound design/music by Sean Gill, Lighting Design by Kia Rogers, and Stage Managed Naomi Anhorn. PR by Emily Owens... PR. Photos by Beau Allulli.
