Junta Juleil's Sean Gill in Kevin Moore's PLAGUE OF THE PSYCHIC DEAD

The following is a fun little zombie short film from last year directed by my friend, Kevin Moore, which has been featured in the 'Director's Circle Festival of Shorts' and just now has hit YouTube. I appear, not as myself, but as some other guy who happens to be named Sean. Clad in a 'Kentucky' t-shirt, my thespianic talents ratchet the tension to a level some faint-of-hearts might classify as 'simply overpowering.' Also appearing are Simon Siegel, Jamie Almeleh (who plays my pretend sister), Jake Kedzierski, Chris Brancato, Tricia Moore, and (recognizable to Junta Juleil diehards) my real sister, Jillaine Gill. It features cinematography by Chad Coates and was co-produced by the elusive J. Carlson. Without further ado:

Sean Gill's THURSDAY NIGHT

Here's a short film I did a few years back which I finally got around to uploading. It stars my sister, Jillaine, and it was part of a series of films I did in 2007-2008, all of which took place in the same shadowy, decaying universe. Enjoy!

LA ENFERMA (2008, Sean Gill and Rachel Klein)

A little something for your Day of the Dead– my film of Rachel Klein's piece, LA ENFERMA:

The following tale is a whirling reverie of savage beauty and spectral elegance. For whom? I would suppose they had names once, but it takes place in that unenviable span as mortal remains begin their ceaseless march from bone to dust. It's an ageless parable set in no single place, its backdrop being the anonymous graveyards, cemeteries, tombs, and mausoleums which some of us might pass every day and pay little mind. A little daydream set on El día de los Muertos. That one untamable day where the dead interrupt their eternal slumber to cavort and prance with morbid exuberance, a shadowy reflection of a vitality that now seems more like a half-remembered dream. La Enferma.

Sean Gill's LAUGHTER IS THE MUSIC OF THE GODS featured on CFC's ShortsNonstop *Update*

*UPDATE*

Thanks to those who have voted: I'm not sure how long voting is open, but LITMOTG seems to be doing pretty well. So get your votes in while the polls are still open!

LAUGHTER IS THE MUSIC OF THE GODS, one of my shorter and simpler films, has been chosen by the Canadian Film Centre's film program ShortsNonstop. It's available for viewing HERE, it runs only a minute and twenty-three seconds, and is absolutely silent, so you can all watch it at school or work or whatever. And everyone should rate it as well, there's no need to register- you can just click your rating, and it could lead to some prize $ down the line for yours truly. Thanks!

Plot Synopsis: A man smeared with his own blood snickers uncontrollably as he imparts an important public service announcement.
Tag-line: "There's more than one way to tickle your ribs."

Sleepy-Time Time 2 Available to Watch on IMDB

One of my more recent films, SLEEPY-TIME TIME 2: NO REST FOR THE WICKED is now available to watch on IMDB, here. To quote the press release: "Again using sleep paralysis as a point of departure, this second installment in the 'Sleepy-Time Time' series pits our somnambulistic hero against vast, terrifying, undefinable forces which seep into our world through radiators and cracks in the plaster, slavering viciously as they tear into the very fabric of our dreams."

It follows the first SLEEPY-TIME TIME and precedes the recently completed SLEEPY-TIME TIME 3: WHAT A DAY FOR A DAYDREAM. You may need to update your flash player.

BLACK HOLE ADVENTURE trailer released!

Junta Juleil Productions, LTD. presents a Sean Gill film.

Inspired by the youthful whimsy of, say, 1980's Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novels, BLACK HOLE ADVENTURE follows the escapades of Maxine "Max" Quint, the world's youngest astronaut, and her faithful robot companion, M.E.L.V.I.N., as they traverse the galaxy in search of knowledge, thrills, and discovery. But, then again, everyone has some growing up to do.

Starring Jillaine Gill. Coming Soon, 2009.

Junta Juleil Presents: The Best of THE WILLIES

I recently uploaded these seminal clips to YouTube and figured that they should be archived here, as well, especially since I reviewed THE WILLIES for this site last fall. The following clips include the entirety of Clu Gulager's performance in the film and the mind-numbing, earth-shattering conclusion, oft-referred to in the original review.

Matt Kohn's music video of Cindy Lee Berryhill's "When Did Jesus Become a Republican?"

In honor of Election Day, a blast from the past- Cindy Lee Berryhill's music video "When Did Jesus Become a Republican?" from the fall of 2007. Junta Juleil's own Sean Gill and Jillaine Gill briefly appear respectively as a high-profile republican donor and a politician's trophy wife in this Matt Kohn-directed political satire.

Sean Gill thinks of amber waves of grain as he signs a substantial check.
