Jems July Blog Hop - You are my Sunshine!

Good Morning guys and welcome to today's blog post and our monthly Jems Blog Hop. Today's theme is You are my Sunshine and it incorporates projects that have a "sunny feel" to them or a project for your "sunshine". Since we decided on this theme the weather has actually taken a turn for the worse!

I decided to share my very sunny daisy project that I ran as a class last Saturday. Now we have had a few problems with the Daisy punch in that it has been so popular that it sold out in record time! It should however be back this week and available to order so I am hoping my post is quite timely in that respect (keeps fingers crossed!)
The vase I used it just a cheap one from IKEA and I wrapped some of the coordinating paper around it and added a tag. You do need to get happy with the hot glue gun for this project but it's pretty easy once you get going, just a little repetitive.
If you would like to come along to my studio to make this project, (punch and stamps included in cost) then please do message me and I will arrange a new date. The project should take around 2 hours and then we make a matching card too!
I hope you enjoyed my "sunny" project and you will hop onto Sarah's blog to see what she has been up to!

Everything is awesome!

Hi there and happy Friday to you! Had a little lie in today before finishing final preps for tomorrows Team Training event.

The card today is the last of the cards from Tuesday evening's class. Lego is HUGE at the moment with the Lego Movie being very popular (hence the title of the post). Lego has been a big part of our lives for the last few years as both boys have grown up with it, in fact I love building it too!
This card is very simple in its construction, it just takes ages to make it and you get VERY INKY as my ladies found out on Tuesday! You also need a boat load of foam pads for the bricks.
The sentiment on this card is from the Hip Hip Hooray designer kit, I do love this sentiment and it's perfect for boys cards.
Here are all 3 of the cards we made together. I must say I really enjoy making male themed cards, makes a lovely change from butterflies and flowers!

Hip Hip Hooray - the enhanced version!

Hi there! No blog from me yesterday as I had a couple of busy days running 2 Team Training events. This month we worked on male themed projects! I'll share those probably tomorrow!

On Saturday at our All Day Retreat I wanted a project for the evening that didn't take too much brain power and was also challenging enough for those whose energy levels were still ok!
I decided to use the Hip Hip Hooray kit and the ladies got a full one each. Those ladies who were flagging could simply follow the step by step guide and make the simple cards OR I shared these "stepped up" projects with them that just required a little bit more effort. Sorry for the abundance of photos but I am quite proud of these and I really enjoyed making them. All I added was one sheet of Whisper White, one sheet of Tangerine Tango and some ribbon.
Even if you are a seasoned crafter this kit could still be for you and you can step up your makes just like I have done, with bits left over too!

See you tomorrow

Festive Flurry

Good Morning and a Happy Sunday to you! I had a lovely day yesterday. I spent the morning catching up on things and tidying my craft studio and then had 3 lovely ladies who came to me for a class! We had a lovely afternoon with lots of crafting, chatting and my lovely Robino had baked for us too! Then it was onto my dance lesson followed by a night in with all of my boys watching Strictly! Perfect I would say!

I thought I would share the projects I have made for my last couple of workshops at Gillian's and Louise's. We used the Festive Flurry stamp set and matching framelits. It has been a very popular item and has been in and out of stock. It's in stock at the moment so if you fancy it for your Christmas makes why not pop an order through my store and be in with a chance of winning the Hostess Freebies for October!

The top two cards are the makes and takes that the lovely guests made using a colour combo of Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Smoky Slate. I also made a stepped up version using the Silver Glimmer paper and a Frosted Finish embellishment. Thank you to my friend Bekka for the card design idea.

Both parties were a great success for the hostesses and I hope I have helped to create some new paper-crafters out there!

Right I will love you and leave you and go do some jobs! The big boys will be watching sport this afternoon and Evan and I are going dancing!

Keeeeeeeep stamping!
