Creation Station - Men are our Muse

Hello there and welcome to today's blog share, Men are our Muse!
I decided to work with the High Tide stamp set seeing as I have been enjoying it so much and I had it out from last weeks class.
This card is very similar to one I already shared but I substituted the wood effect papers for an embossed background in Early Espresso.
I really love making these seaside scenes and love how every sky turns out different each time!
I also made another with the new papers from the brand new catalogue and used a pale whitewash type backing paper for this one and I didn't stamp another lighthouse. I stamped direct onto the watercolour paper and just left it, you can see the lighthouse looks a bit "weathered" because of the texture of the watercolour paper.
Which is your favourite? The dark background or the light?
This month my Class in the Post features the High Tide stamp set and you can find more details HERE
Please do hop over to my fellow SU demonstrator Sara to see what she has been up to!

Another High Tide

Hello there and welcome back to my blog today! Today I am sharing the final make from last weekends High Tide class and also the final make in the Class in the Post for May.
This was the most simple of the 3 projects on the day and got the ladies warmed up into using the stamp set. There are barely any products used on this card other than stamps and inks. I let these wonderful images do all the work for me and left off any punches, ribbons or other accessories, just a little embossing in the background to create some texture.
I have really enjoyed using this stamp set in my classes and cannot believe I wasn't interested in it on first glance! How often does that happen to you?
If you would like my Class in the Post then you can find the details HERE

High Tide Watercolour Card

Hello there and welcome to my blog today! I am very excited to share todays make with you as I just LOVE it. I must say the High Tide set wasn't on my initial list to purchase but I saw a particularly lovely project by our team member Julie Wade here and I just had to have it.
Since then I have enjoyed creating with it and ran a class on it last week and as mentioned on Monday I have a class in the post now available using this stamp set.

I have used a brand new product on here which is the gorgeous wood effect paper in the background, going to be very very popular and cannot wait to show you more with this in the coming weeks! I stamped the sand and sea directly onto the Watercolour paper but the lighthouse was stamped separately and then raised up with dimensionals. I then washed over the sea with the aqua painter and then added some sky with the Dapper Denim ink pad and the aqua painter.
I decided I needed a sentiment and punched out a circle which I also washed with the ink and aquapainter and then added the sentiment once it was dry. I love this part of my card the most!

High Tide Stamp Set

Hello there and a very Happy Easter to you.
Yesterday I ran a lovely Easter Crafternoon Tea at the studio, thank you to the ladies who attended, the lovely food was very well received as usual and we made a cute craft project too!

Today I am sharing a project I made on Friday evening at home! Yes I brought a few craft bits home to make this for my class in 2 weeks. I have been meaning to make this for ages and Friday night was the night.
High Tide has been one of those stamp sets that has grown on me and now I think it's a beautiful set. We will be making this project at my High Tide class on Saturday 29th April at 2pm. All the details can be found HERE on Facebook.
The class includes your own stamp set for use on the day and then to take home and also the frame and shells are provided too! We will also be making 2 cards as part of this class too!
The cost is £35 per person and includes the stamp set worth £23 and all the other supplies needed to create your projects, plus hot drinks and a biscuit! Hope to see you there.
