CATCHING UP.

This is a catch up from the last 2 weeks.
We saw around 60 Common Cranes in Somerset in with
the cows but they were at quite a distance.
The rest were taken around Cornwall.

Week-end at Goonhilly, (mostly)

I Noticed this Sparrowhawk while at work and all I had was a small camera and an old pair of binoculars that I keep in the van so I took these shots through the binoculars.
Not perfect by any means, but needs must, as they say.

No other birds but we have amassed a lot of Dragonflies and Butterflies over the weekend.

This Keeled Skimmer was trapped in a web and fighting desparately to escape.
John's brother Chris set it free but It's wings were stuck together and it could hardly fly.
I suppose it came to a sticky end. Sue

Can anyone name these 2 Damselflies?
We think they are one of the Emeralds. (Scarce would be nice)
