HAYLE ESTUARY & SWANPOOL.

Well, I never did catch up with the Franklin's Gull that's been hanging
around but I did see this Cattle Egret on Hayle Estuary instead of
in a field of Cattle so that was an unexpected bonus.
The Nuthatches were taken at Lelant Saltings.

CATCHING UP.

This is our first posting for six weeks and are just some local shots taken over the last few days.
Although we have had a few technical issues, it must be said that since our return
from Bulgaria we are finding it hard to get back into it. Must try harder!!

We saw this Lizard basking on a log at Croft Pascoe, it was no more than an inch and a half long.

A post at last!!

We have hardly done any birding in the last month but here are a few shots taken in the past
week. Sue has been laid-up with a bad back and I've been off with a virus. We are now looking forward to getting back into it.

Have done very little birding and even less digi-scoping recently but here are a few shots taken over the last couple of weeks. John

Week-end at Tehidy Woods,Gothian Sands and Marazion Marsh.

ON A SAD NOTE: Last year I was lucky enough to take photos of a Peregrine family that were nesting below the viaduct that I was working on, they had 4 young. This year they only reared 2 and unfortunately one of the parents and one of the young were found dead on the track, having been hit by a train, an all too common occurrence but it is usually Buzzards.
