Don't Cry Because It's Over , Smile Because It Happened ... DP2 Challenge #166

The current challenge at DP2 is "Fave Mo Card Made By You" ... I found it hard to find my fave card, cos I love most of them ;) so I chose one using what has to be my fave image ...

"Mariko is Mad" just has to be one of the most adorable images I have on my lappy and I've used her loads this year, which is unfortunate cos she's been used for sympathy cards ....

... I placed her on the inside too with a heartfelt verse ...

The beautiful sentiment is from HERE and the papers are a freebie off the net and I can't find them now!

Caring Thoughts .... Deconstructed Sketch No.49

I thought it was about time I showed this card off.  Its one I made about 3 weeks ago and not had chance to post :| until now.  So whilst I'm being lazy and lying in  with my lappy, I thought it was the ideal time to post :D

I seem to be making a lot of sympathy cards just lately, this being the second one and I still have a third to show yet!  I followed the fab sketch from Deconstructed Sketch ....

... I turned the sketch 90 degrees ...

...  using Sugar Nellie, Melissa ..

Although you can't see, I did use her again on the inside with this verse ...

Wrapping You In An Angel Hug .... Sketch Saturday Week #207

This is my first week of once again being a Sketch Saturday Challenger =D>.

DesiSmileys.comI've had another busy week finishing Mum's kitchen whilst she's on holiday.  This time replacing all her worktops and repainting the kickboards and cupboard handles.  It does look lovely even though I say so myself.  Once again I was helped by DN and Paula, with Andy doing the odd bit of siliconing round the work surface.  Here's hoping Mum doesn't plan another holiday anytime soon :|.

This weeks fab sketch ...

and my card made for my daughters friend who has just lost her O:)Mummy to cancer...

I used Mo Manning's "Angel with Puppy"

Just Like The Butterfly, You Too Will Awaken In Your Own Time ..... Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge #86

I hope you all had the most fantastic Christmas :)  Our's wasn't as bad as we expected it too be.  Yes, there were crying when certain pressie were opened, when we turned and expected Dad to be sat in the chair, when we remember their was someone special missing :(  But there just had to be laughinging too ... mainly at my expense!

We let off a  shaped  for Dad, Christmas morning, that had us all in a panic and fits of laughter, when we thought it was going to get stuck on DD's TV aerial on the roof  :) ... we also decided that we'd let off 2 Chinese lanterns in the evening ... Rylee likes to send his Great-Grandad a light so he can see ... sigh, we lit it and sent it up .... it hit next doors wall and ended up stuck in a bush burning merrily away surprise ... the neighbour had left for Tokyo for a month that morning, which was pretty fortunate as I was trying desperately to climb her 3 foot wall rolling eyes .... Koree (1 year old grandbaby) found it hysterical, although we're not sure if it was cos everyone else was rolling on the floor at me!  I did manage to save the burning bush and extinguish the lantern.  The other lantern went up without a hitch and floated off to Dad angel

Claire is hosting the last challenge of 2011 at Sunday Sketch & Stamp with this fabulous sketch ....

I had the unfortunate job of making a sympathy card, worse still it was for a stillborn angel....

I used the Stitchy Bear image "In His Hands" which I thought fitted the bill perfectly ...

.... and a close up of the coloured image ....

Few Makes ...

The above card is a fantastic digi image from Sketching Stamper. Absolutely fabulous detail and looks amazing IRL. I printed the image out 3 times, cut out and popped on sticky pads. The images have been coloured with Whisper Strokes with the help of my Tombo Blender Pen. I added a touch of Glamour Dust for added sparkle and some beads and gems for the centre. DP's are a free download called Sheet Music. Just to add a little more bling i matted on to gold card and stitched around the edge with gold embroidery thread using my sewing machine.

I used a sketch for this card but can't for the life of me remember which one it was now!
