Puppies!

Ok, so i'm still chasing my tail, still having to schedule posts when i have a quiet minute to do them.  Everyone seems to be having an afternoon nap, well everyone except me!

The packing is going well ... but, i've managed to pack all my kitchen scissors!  Only got my craft stuff, the dining-room, Andy's PC and the shed to go, with 17 days left to do it in!

To make this card I used:~
CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ Raspberry Road Designs
Image ~ Magnolia Tilda with Puppy
Sentiment ~ Create with TLC ... yet another fabby freebie!
Gems & pearls ~ Stash
Flowers ~ Stash
Tools ~ Pencil Crayons, Sansodor, Nellie Snellen Dies, Sewing Machine

Yesterday, whilst packing some of the kitchen items away Mali decided to jump in my big saucepan.  Guess what we had for dinner last night LOL!

Dad Update ~ his appointment went well, after we eventually got in there 2 hours after the allotted time!  Anyhow, we're still none the wiser as to whether its spread or not.  The CT scan shows something on his pelvis but its inconclusive and he wanted to get someone else to take a look at the photos.  They can't be too concerned cos he next appointment is 8 weeks away ... so thats gotta be good surely!

Friday Sketchers Sketch #107

Here's one i forgot to post!  Sometimes i think i might be too organised.  I make cards so that i can enter these different challenges and then just run out of time for posting them! Much like what happened with this one!

CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ Carrie Stephens ~ Spontaneous Delight
Image ~ Young Love ~ Mo's Digital Pencil Too
Sentiment ~ Create with TLC
Pearls ~ Quixotic Paperie
Tools ~ Pencil Crayons, Blending Stumps No.0, Sansodor, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Woodware Border Punch
In my defence i have had a distration ....

My daughter Eloise and her boyfriend have brought a chocolate cocker spaniel.  She's 7 weeks old and is called Malibu, Mali for short (don't ask).  As you can imagine i've had to spend time with my new grandpuppy LOL!

Our Real Life Tilda

I just wanted to show you all our real life Tilda ... unfortunately for us she has a mouth, unlike the Magnolia Tilda ... thats something we can only dream about lol! I mustn't diss her too much cos she brought us a gorgeous victoria sponge sandwich home with her today from work. She works at Birds ... so you can only imagine how yummy this cake is gonna be!

I managed to take this tonight just before the girls went out to a BBQ and then on to town clubbing and god was it a chore! Tilda (on the left) moaned because Ellie was doing her glamour model posing lol ... and she didn't know how to do it! Ellie (obviously on the right lol) moaned cos Tilda touched her hair and worked one of her extentions loose as well as touching her make-up lol! Tilda then complained cos Ellie was shorter than her but wouldn't allow her to stand on step! Oh to be young again!

Just Magnolia Week 11

This weeks challenge is another fabulous sketch from Bev.

This is the first of my August cards ... i still have one July card left to do which is for my VBF Vicki ... really struggling to make a card for her 40th, so have avoided making it so far, but i can't for much longer!
CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ All scraps (I'm now trying to use at least one piece of scrap paper per card)
Image ~ Magnolia, RAK from someone ... Carole i think! Coloured with Whisper Strokes and watercolour pencils.
Stitching ~ Sewing Machine
Lace, Flowers & Pearls ~ Stash
Sentiment ~ made up from Pink Petticoat Tiny Tag and Rubber Romance Friend stamp.

The inside was decorated with what paper was left and a couple of those gorgeous flowers i had from Diane.

And lastly Declan came last night to show us his very first tattoo! Bless him ... i told ya he adored our Rylee!

Beth Update: I kidnapped her Wednesday night and spent 2 hours shouting at her in my car ... things have slightly improved since and we're taking baby steps at the minute. Its just the lies none of us can cope with. Sister's BF don't help either, keeps saying Beth should have a check for Bipolar Disorder ... he seems obsessed with her children having some sort of mental health problem. Told my sis to tell him if he can't be supportive then to keep it shut. Yesterday he'd very nearly convinced my sis that perhaps Beth was Bipolar .... think he watches too much Eastenders personally ... looked the symptoms up online and phoned sis and told her that i suffered with half a dozen of the symptoms so i must be too!!! Yeah, i know i'm mental pmsl!
Looks like he's done the same and interpreted them to suit. When she text and told him she was just a spoilt child his reply was "21st century teenager i wouldn't have got away with it when i was her age" ... perhaps not, but he's making up for it now .... !

How Cool Is This .....

I'm thinking of getting one of these fitted at our house! I like the fact that its big enough to house 2 kids ... no need for them to be lonely! Look how much fun they're having too! Should anyone look this pleased at being banged up?

This photo was taken yesterday at Thomas land, Drayton Manor Park ... it's not that far from where we live. Rylee (on the left) had been invited by Luke (on the right) to help celebrate his 2nd birthday and it looks like they had an amazing time, especially in the prison ... that's why i'm thinking of having one fitted at home for when they visit together. For those of you that don't know Rylee is my 20 month old grandson and Luke my hubby's 2 year old nephew. They get on so well together, bless them ... although Rylee does like to boss Luke around and is constantly snatching Luke's soother out of his mouth ... which isn't a bad thing lol!

Colour Create Challenge #2 & Sketch Saturday #37

The challenge at Colour Create is to make a card using "peach and aqua". There is an extra option available which you can use if you wish, although this isn't compulsory. This week's option is 'DIY flowers', which means not using any pre made, bought flowers on your cards and projects.

Did i have a job with this card! ... spent most of the morning whilst my lunch was cooking looking for peach and aqua paper ... not easy! After trawling through all my papers on the hard-drive i did manage to find some to fit the bill.

I also combined this challenge with Sketch #37 from Sketch Saturday a fab sketch designed by Jeanette and sponsored by Whimsy Stamps this week .

CS ~ stash, DP's ~ a mixture of Pink Petticoat and Summer Driggs, image ~ Sarah Kay coloured with WM's, flowers made using smallest Nestie die and the Cuttlebug and by following the tutorial here, button and raffia ~ stash, sewing done on machine and gems ~ stash.

Thought i would add this photo taken last night of Ellie before she went out to a "pimps and ho's" party. Obviously, she doesn't normally go out dressed like this lol!

She makes me absolutely sick ... i wish i was this confident, young and gorgeous! I'm bound to say it i know cos she's mine.

Parents Golden Wedding Anniversary

I just wanted to share a few photos with you that were taken yesterday whilst we had a gorgeous lunch to celebrate the oldies wedding anniversary. These might help if your a frequent visitor to my blog by putting a face to the name. So firstly we have .....

My parents. Its unusual to get Dad smiling on a photo. I suppose thats where I get it from. If someone points a camera at me (as you'll see shortly) I get self-concious and uncomfortable its unbelievable.

Declan (my nephew) and Eloise (our youngest). My sister's and our kids are really close. As you can see Ellie loves her little cousin!

My DH, Andy and me. See what I mean about my photo lol!

And again with my big sister Chris!

Our girls... Eloise on the left and Fae on the right. How much more unalike could they be!

Eloise, Bethany and Fae. The girls get on really well and are more like sisters than cousins. I think Beth looks on Fae and Ellie as her big sisters!

Scott (our future SIL), Fae's fella, posing! Don't normally get a photo of Scott, he generally says he hates having his photo taken. What do you think lol!

Declan and Rylee ~ he's this big hard 16 yr old lad or supposed to be! He visits Rylee most days and is forever wanting to take him out for a walk!

Bethany, Scott and Ellie ~ Scott thought he was some sort of stud muffin pmsl!

And our grandson Rylee on the way out. He thought it was great cos the wind was blowing in his face and making the leaves dance around his feet!

Can you believe this?!

This is Declan, my nearly 16 year old, over 6 foot tall, strappling nephew. Who is due to leave school next month to enter the big wide world. He visited us this afternoon on his way home from school to play with Rylee, who he adores! Unfortunately for Dec, Rylee was at nursery so he was unable to play. He sat at the dining table with me watching whilst I made the card for Ila's competition. I asked him if he wanted to play and he said "Yeah", bless him! I gave him a card blank and told him he could you used whatever he could find to make a card. He decided to make Rylee's birthday card...it's not his birthday until July, but never mind. He spent a good hour or so sat quietly at my dining table out of trouble, behaving himself, which for Dec is unusual cos he's a little sod! He's one of those kids that if theres any trouble he's generally involved, always getting excluded from school for fighting, swearing and being cheeky, but the teachers love him for some reason. Perhaps they catch a side of him that we sometimes see at home, the big softy, with a heart of gold and will do anything for you for FREE lol! Anyway this is his creation....

Recipe
Cardstock - The Works, card blank, Holographic card
Ribbon - stash
Brads - stash

These images all arrived in a lovely folder which me being me forgot to photograph, but i will do later. I also got the day before these from Carol ...
The gorgeous Gerry Giraffe. I'm building up quite a collection of giraffe's ready for Rylee's 1st birthday. I have to make at least 3 cards for him, one from us, one from Ellie and one from my parents. I've got 2 giraffes now these from Carol and a fab "doodle" hmmm lol from Kerry who is a really talented artist, dont let her tell you any different!
