Bearly Mine Challenge #6

For this fortnights challenge the Bearly Mine team would like to see  Mothers day creations.
To complete the challenge your creation needs to use one of Donna's Digi sets.  If you don't have any of Donna´s Digi sets, she does provide freebies on her site "Bearly Mine Design" for you to use on your cards as you need to use Bearly Mine papers to win the prizes.

The Sponsors this time are
# SPONSOR : Whimsy Stamps - 5 Digi's of the Winner's choice

# SPONSOR: Bearly Mine Designs - 2 Digi sets of the Winner's choice

# SPONSOR: Bildmalarna - one rubber stamp

So here is my card .....

I've made this card for my Mum.  I thought it was a really fitting image cos she's always making cakes for the my girls and for my grandbabies.  She often tempts me with her Lemon Drizzle Cake and numerous flavoured cupcakes, which is so unfair when your trying to follow a Weight Watcher plan LOL!

This week, the challenge has been set by Rowena. She would like to see... *** Something For Mum ***

Create a card, project or gift for Mum Those of us in the UK may be thinking Mother's Day, which is next month, Mum's birthday or even "just because". Don't forget - all entries this month go into a prize draw on the first Wednesday in March, for a fab prize including a stamp of your choice from Amy Young's Sweet November range (check them out HERE) and an assortment of pearls, pins and charms (total value approximately £15).

Colour Create 3 & Sketch Saturday #38

I wasn't really happy with the first card for the Colour Create challenge if the truth be known and so i've done another one that i'm much happier with. This is also a Mother's Day card and will be for my VBF Vicki to send her Mum. The one before was supposed to be for Vicki, but i hate it that much its now gonna be the MOT's pmsl! Well, i dont wanna waste a good card do? And Andy said anything would do her, so she get the one in the previous post.
This card is loosely based on this weeks Sketch Saturday #38.
CS & DP's ~ out of the scrap paper folder, stitching ~ sewing machine, eyelets ~ RAK from Linda, ribbon, button, flowers ~ stash, sentiment ~ pc generated, image ~ RAK from Jill (i think lol ... i do apologise if its not).#

Now this card i'm happy with and i just adore it! Much better than the first one!

Friday Sketchers #39 & Colour Create 3

Heidi from Norway is hosting this weeks Friday Sketchers. She has created a fab sketch to follow.

Challenge 3 at Colour Create is Red, White and Blue. There is an extra option available which you can use if you wish, although this isn't compulsory. This week's option is 'Holidays and Travel'

And this is how my card turned out. I thought i would make another Mother's Day card. CS and DP's ~ more leftover's, stitching ~ sewing machine, lace ~ stash leftover from when i made Fae her little bo peep dress for nursery a few years ago ... must dig out a photo to show you lol! (dressed her up as a Fairy too ... made that outfit as well!) button and ribbon ~ stash, image ~ RAK from Tab and coloured with WM's, flowers and brads ~ stash, globe ~ google image coloured with WM's. I thought the globe fit in with the travel part of the challenge! sentiment ~ pc generated.

More Mother's Day Cards ...

As promised here are the other 2 Mother's Day cards i've made. I didn't do any crafting yesterday, instead i slobbed about on Facebook, watched TV and gossiped on the phone with Jo. I just couldn't be bothered to do anything. Hopefully today i'll manage to complete at least one card, especially since there are some fab sketches for me to complete and the Colour Create challenge. Anyhow, heres those cards .....

Both cards are made again using CS & DP's that are leftovers, images ~ RAK's coloured with WM's, stitches ~ sewing machine, raffia, pearls, gem and flowers ~ stash

The Sugar Bowl ~ Challenge 4

Challenge 4 - One!
Create a card using only one piece of patterned design paper.
(If you are a struggling paper-aholic, this can be double sided)
Of course, this must include a
Sugar Nellie stamp!

I do apologise for the poor quality photo ... but with the flash on there's too much glare, so this is the best i could get.

DP ~ another leftover, image ~ coloured with WM's and Sakura Glaze, flowers ~ punched from scrap card, bling ~ stash.

I thought i was doing really well with my March cards, until that was i realised that Mother's Day is 22nd March! I now have 6 Mother's Day cards to make! I've done 3 .... and this is one of them ... watch this space for the others lol!

I am woman - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

This weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge is ...I am woman - As its coming up to Mothers day in the UK here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls . So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it . And that's it for rules really.
I made this card using a design I saw on Dawn's blog. I used paper downloaded from Crafts Beautiful website, a decoupage image from The Lilac Garden and ribbon from Aunty Sarah's. The acetate strip, isn't acetate...its a scrap left over from a laminating sheet (I throw nothing away!). The sentiment is Pink Petticoat.

Spring In Your Step - Papertake Weekly Challenge

This weeks challenge - 'Spring in your step!' is to make a card (or other item!) with a spring theme! Easter and Mother's Day both fall early this year and with me daffs out in the garden already it seemed a good theme!

This is my creation for this weeks challenge. I used a template from Crafty Templates for the flowers and vase and used paper and card scraps to make these, so thats a bonus! The corners are the bits of peel offs that normally get thrown away.

Me and My Shadow!!

This week challenge over at Daring Cardmakers has been set by Jane and this is it.....

"I want you to create not just one but TWO cards ! But wait........there's more ! I want both cards to contain the same embellishments and papers, ribbons etc- but arranged in a different way for a different occasion....the only thing being different is the wording....I'll let you have different wording ! (How nice of me eh?) I'm well aware this is a really hard challenge, and that I have thrown everyone into 2008 off the deep end....but go on- give it a go - I DARE YOU !"

I've used free digi papers
"Trail Guide - Orange Papers" from here, thanks Michelle, freebie stitched alphas from here and my Auntie Sarah 4" fat daisy bloomers and ribbon from Sarah's Cards Ltd.
