Unity - Friends With Flair

Hello.  I am so happy it is Friday today and I am really looking forward to relaxing this weekend :)


I wanted to share a card I made for Unity's Friends with Flair - this did not photograph as well as I hoped.


The sweet little images are from a set called 'On my way' and are just darling. They are coloured with copics and the windows all have glossy accents (which does not show in the photo).  I thought this card would work well for someone getting their licence in any one of these vehicles or it could also work for a boy's birthday.

Unity is also having a big sale on all their past Kit of the Month's, so some shopping may be in order :)

I wanted to share the card I made for todays Unity - Friends with Flair. I adore this cute little image, which is called funnily enough - You Are Cute :)


I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches 'Word Salad'.

I am also entering this into Cas-ual Fridays current challenge - Opposites Attract. I coloured my image with copic markers in green and purple (the purple looks more like black in the photo, but I promise it is purple :)).

Friends With Flair

Happy Easter everyone :)

I am currently sitting on the floor next to my computer, my craft room/office is all packed up and my wonderful husband and son are in the process of building me some new storage. Fingers crossed it won't take them long :)

I have been playing with my new Unity stamps again for the Friends with Flair challenge - this set is called 'On my Way'.  I stamped the houses using distress inks and then paper pieced them. The sentiment is a rub-on from EAD Designs.

Well, I am off to check the roast before it burns :) Enjoy what remains of your day.

I Miss You

I recently got a couple of new Unity stamps and finally got around to having a play :) I have long admired those crafters that using sponging as a colouring technique, so I had a play with this adorable image. It is not as easy as they make it look! Still, for a first attempt I don't think it's horrible, LOL.


The image is called 'Present in my Heart' and I hand made the 'polaroid'. I am entering it into this weeks Friends with Flair on the Unity blog. They are having a great 40% off sale at the moment if you haven't checked it out. 

If you have any great sponging tips for me, especially what sort of sponge you use, I would love to know.

Just A Note

Hi there!


Well, I am pleased to report that today was a beautiful sunny day :) After six straight days of rain and a mini tornado, it was long overdue!  Thank goodness it was a very thin tornado (hope that makes sense) and we were on the outskirts so not too much damage. Some people were not so lucky with about 30 homes damaged and about 8 of those needing to be demolished. The scary thing is there was no warning it was coming!


On a brighter note, I have a card to share that I made for the Jane's Doodles blog - this adorable owl is from the 'You're A Hoot' stamp set. I just love his big goggly eyes.  The sentiment is a freebie from Unity - can't get better than that.
