Thursday..

This week has flown by. I guess time always seems to fly these days. I ended up taking both of the boys to the dr Tuesday...Ryan was feverish on Monday night so I decided to take him in too. They didn't test for strep, but just said that they definitely both have throat infections. They said that there are a ton of different ones going around right now. I'm actually taking Ryan to the ENT dr tomorrow to see about a tonsillectomy. His tonsils are always enlarged and he has trouble swallowing, he chokes all the time and he snores and is a mouth breather at night. I'm hoping they'll give the go ahead to have them removed. I'm also going to try and finish up my Christmas shopping tomorrow. I need to get going on my list though. My sister and Jaidyn are going to ride back up here with us. Every year my mom does baking day. It's a Saturday in December where she and my grandma bake tons of stuff while my sisters and I just sit around basically. lol. Then she sends a bunch of the goodies to their office, around town, etc. It's fun times. Trisha usually comes up and we will just sit and eat good food and frost cookies or whatever. This Saturday is going to be baking day, it's early this year, but with everyone's schedules that's how it's got to be.

We had our YW in Excellence last night. It turned out really well. I'm glad to have it over with, now we just have New Beginnings to plan! Ugh. I haven't taken any pictures of my tree yet. I'll have to take some later when Ryan is home to climb underneath and plug in the lights! lol. I know alot of people have done their Christmas wishlists, so I'll do mine...Item # 1....

Awwwwwww........Seriously, how could anyone not want one? She's so cute. I had wanted a beagle puppy for so long and I finally got one. The breeder neglected to tell us that she had tried to sell him at the pet store and he had been exposed to parvo there...Needless to say, we ended up having to have him put down a week after we got him...Way too sad! Since the parvo virus can live in your carpets and yard for awhile, we weren't able to get another animal and when we did, we got our little buddy Teddy...

I keep asking him if he wants a little brother or sister lol. I mean, in comparing those two pics, I can totally see a sibling type resemblance...lol. K, on to # 2...

I would really like this Dooney bag...I'm pretty sure that my sister is getting me one, just not sure if it's this one...I told her a few of my fav's so we'll see what she decided on...Now for # 3...

This awesome ring...Jeremy has been wanting to get me a new wedding ring for awhile now...He actually tried to order this for me a few weeks ago, luckily I was home and put a stop to it. He's been known for being an impulse buyer...I would love to have it, but I won't let him spend $3500 on a ring for me for Christmas. I told him maybe for our 10 year anniversary next year. We'll see. Now, for # 4...

2008 Lexus IS...I saw one of these on the freeway the other day and commented on how much I liked it...Jeremy was trying to talk me into heading to the dealership right then to trade the Tahoe in on one...Remember how I said he was an impulse buyer? lol. As much as I would love one, I told him..."Not today" lol.

Well, that's all I can come up with for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend...

LOSER...

Ha, I know everyone says that I call myself a loser alot, and I do, but I do that to everyone...If you were here, I'd most likely call you one too. So, since it's been awhile since I posted last, I guess I could recap...I went to the dentist to get some fillings replaced, then I had to drive my sister home from the dr's office. She has to have these cortisone shots in her back and they put you completely out while they do it, so she wasn't allowed to drive home. We had Thanksgiving with Jeremy's family this year. The good thing about it is that since both our families live here, even though we eat with one, we can still hang with the other too. My friend had been trying to pressure me into going shopping on Black Friday...I was almost done shopping anyways and she was talking of leaving at like 2:30 am! Sorry, that's just not for me. Let's just say I'm not exactly a sweetheart when I'm tired... I did end up going shopping though with my BIL's girlfriend...We left at a much more reasonable time. We went to Tai Pan, Costco, Target, Michael's, GameStop and Wal-Mart...Oh, and of course we had to grab lunch at Cafe Rio too. Saturday we headed out shopping again. Jeremy needed to get a few things so we went to St. George again...Normally I would have protested, just for the fact that I like Vegas shopping better, but I had seen this awesome tree at Tai Pan that I really wanted! I had a 20% off coupon so I was able to save like $55 on my tree. It was expensive, but worth it, hopefully it will last awhile...Plus, it looks and feels real. On the way home from St. George I got the worst migraine ever. I swear I wanted to die. I had my eyes closed, but even then the lights from the cars passing us was enough to almost kill me! I haven't had one that bad in a long time. We got our tree and everything up after church..Tyson is sick. I'm 99% sure he's got strep...His throat is horrible and he has had really bad headaches. I'm taking him in to the dr tomorrow so hopefully they can give him something good to knock it out. It's been going around here and Jeremy's brother just found out today that he's got it so I'm sure that's what it is. Well, this is a rambling post, but I figured I needed to post something so you would know I'm alive lol. I'm sure you all were worried! lol.

Tagged by Steph and more...

So Steph tagged me and I'll get to that in a minute. I have been so irritated lately. I have no idea why. Then, last night, we are at Jeremy's mom and Dad's house. Remember how I was telling you that we had been to Jeremy's grandma's house and how she is getting more and more onery by the day? Well, Jeremy's mom was laughing because I guess that Grandma had called and told her how we wouldn't eat anything she cooked for us while we were there...Hmmm, funny, because I recall eating sloppy joes the night we got there, breakfast the next morning, we were gone to Jeremy's brother's race that day so we missed lunch at her house, we ate roast and potatoes that night and then breakfast the next morning...She told Jeremy's mom "Well, Jeremy ate what I made, but the rest are too damn picky..." lol. Whatever. Then she was all mad because Jeremy and I had run to Wal-Mart and he decided on the way home that he wanted a fountain Dr. Pepper...We call Grandma's house to see if she or either of the boys would like a soda too....She yelled at him because apparently she had made punch to go with dinner...Oops...So she was yelling at Jeremy's mom about that too telling her how we wouldn't even drink her punch. lol. I mean, I understand that she is getting older and her health is deteriorating...She has been widowed for just over 5 years, so I'm sure she's lonely...But we have always enjoyed going up to spend the weekend with her and this time none of us ever want to go back! I feel bad saying that, but it's how we feel. It's like we can't do anything right. I don't know if I mentioned in my other post about it, but we were talking with Tyson about college. He was saying that he wanted to try and play college football...Grandma just tells him flat out, to his face..."You can't play college ball...you're not good enough..." I felt so bad, you could tell he was kind of taken aback...We've never told him he wasn't good enough for anything. I mean, we don't tell him he's the best at everything, but we can say it in a way so as not to hurt feelings and I could tell by the look on his face that he was hurt by the comment....Ugh, okay, enough about that....

Monday...

I know, clever title, but it's all I've got. I'm just not coming up with anything good these days. You'll just have to deal with my lack of cleverness...

Jess got her 3D ultrasound on Thursday night. Things looked good. They told her it looks like he has quite a bit of hair and that he definitely has alot of meat on his bones. Here is a pic...He looks alot like Jaidyn too...

He's got a chubby nose like Jaidyn...

We all had hair appts on Friday night. Thank goodness, my boys hadn't had a haircut since I had my hair done last so they were so shaggy. They have such thick hair that they grow really fast and their is a ton of it. Saturday we headed down to Jess's baby shower. I took Tyson with me because he was spending the weekend with my sister and her husband. So the shower went really good. Jess got everything she will need. She really won't need to buy anything. Afterwards, we went to this open house. My grandpa was an architect back in the day and they had preserved this house that he designed in the 50's...I guess for the day it was considered a really modern and contemporary design. So we went and toured it since they have made it a historical property. It was funny to think how fancy and modern it probably was back in the day. My grandpa designed alot of big time buildings in the Las Vegas area like the Desert Inn and also Sunrise Hospital. Anyways, so we went to the thing and then headed home. Tyson stayed to go to the UNLV football game that night. My sister told me that they ended up coming home from the game early because they were all tired but then ended up staying up til midnight to play Guitar Hero...Funny...Yesterday Tyson said that he didn't even get dressed, just stayed in his pajamas and played video games some more lol. He and my BIL Kody were working on their "careers" lol.

This morning we had to head out pretty early to get to our dentist appts by 8:30...They went well. Ryan has a new tooth coming in, his 6 year molar, it didn't break through the surface very long ago and it's already got a cavity! Ugh, that kid! Anyways, they love the dentist. He's got PS2 with Guitar Hero in his office for them to play while they are waiting for us!

After the dentist, we headed home. We had to bring my niece Jaidyn back with us. She is staying here for the week since Jess's babysitter is out of town. She's funny. Jeremy got out of the car to pump gas and she was all "Uh oh...Bye bye..." lol. She's cute. She also said my name two times today. It sounded more like 'Ah ree uh" lol, but close enough. Well, I better end this. Oh, one more thing, I have to give a shout out to my 2 honor rollers...Tyson made 4.0 and Ryan made 3.5...Their names were in the little paper that we have here...Good job smarty pants! Here's a pic of Jaidyn and I from the baby shower. We told her to smile and she got all cheesy on us...Turned out cute though!

Once again...

I've been a total slacker...A whole week between posts! Oh well, nothing too interesting has gone on so it's all good...We left last Friday morning to Utah to visit Jeremy's grandma and also his brother and his family...It was okay...His grandma is getting so onery as she gets older. It was getting to the point where we could hardly stand it! We were so glad to be home. This week has just been pretty normal...We had our monthly girls lunch on Tuesday which is always fun. It's hard though because not everyone can always make it. It's way too hard to plan around everyone's schedules so we just say every 1st Tuesday of the month at noon and whoever can make it can make it. It was fun. We usually have a few kids but for the most part, most of them are off at school...Afterwards we went and looked at my friend's new house. It seems like FOREVER that they have been building it and it's finally done....It is so gorgeous. Definitely Parade of Home worthy...It's huge, there is no way she is going to be able to clean it herself but it will be so nice. They have 3 kids and 1 on the way and she comes from a huge family so they will definitely use the space...
I was able to get a few more Christmas things done..I ordered the boys each a new coat, they didn't really need one, but they are so hard to shop for these days that I knew it was something that they would like! I also had my sister pick up the Guitar Hero bundle for PS2....They should love that. Other than that, for the kids, I'm pretty much done except for another PS2 game each, some gift cards for itunes and barnes and noble and maybe a few more shirts.
My sister Jess is having her 3D ultrasound tonight. I can't wait to see...When she had one with Jaidyn, she came out looking exactly like the pictures..They are super accurate...So we are anxious to see what little Colin is looking like in there. We are also having her baby shower on Saturday...It will be fun, good food, presents..You can't go wrong there lol. Well, hope everyone has fun weekend plans!

My interview...

I have Tracy to thank for this fun little number. It was really fun filling it out! Thanks!

1-What's it like being the mother of two boys? Do you ever wish you could have a daughter?

It’s fun, but challenging. I swear about every other day you would think it’s World War III around here. That, or you’d think you were in the middle of the WWF crowd. Really, they are either best friends or worst enemies at this point. I like the idea of them getting closer as they get older. There are 2 boys here that were basically “adopted” by the family that lives across the street. They came from very humble beginnings in Samoa. Their mom and dad wanted a good education for them so they sent them here to the US. They started out in Vegas with their aunt, but were being heavily recruited for gangs, so they ended up here. A few months ago, when the older brother was leaving on his mission, they were talking in church. They have such an awesome love for each other. At times, that was all they had…each other. That’s what I want my boys to feel for each other as they get older…As for wanting a daughter…There was a time, after I had both of the boys and I knew that I was for sure done having kids, that I literally would have given almost anything for a daughter…It killed me to think that I would never have a little girl…I longed for small things like dressing them up and fixing their hair, to thinking of how I would never help a daughter with her wedding, or help her with her babies….I got over it. I know I was meant to have the family that I have. Now, as the years have gone by, I have had opportunities to be close to little girls…Trisha’s girls, my niece Jaidyn…I’m able to buy them cute clothes, and spoil them that way, but I can leave them when they throw their fits or start in with the drama! Lol.

2-What are the things you love best about your hubby? What are the things you love best about yourself? Your Sons?

The thing I love most about Jeremy is that he’s seriously the best guy. He would do just about anything for anyone. After Eric died, he would do so much for Trisha…There was a time when I was at her house and it was after 9 at night. He was already at home in bed, but she needed a fire made in the fireplace, so he got out of bed and came over to bring in some firewood and make her a fire. He is always one of the few that shows up at service projects. Plus, he’s so hilarious. We seriously laugh the whole time we are together. He’s the type who teases and makes fun of everyone. If I ever get mad at him, which is very rare, I can't stay mad more than 5 minutes because he will make me laugh. He’s borderline genius and if you have any type of random question, he can most likely answer it, and he’s basically a human calculator. He’s the best dad and husband and he provides well for the boys and me. The thing I like best about myself is that I consider myself a happy person. I go with the flow and don’t let little things get to me. I’m sarcastic, I like that in people. I hate when people are serious all the time. It’s much too boring.
The thing I like best about Tyson is that he’s just about a mini me of Jeremy. He’s smart and sarcastically hilarious. I love that he’s so cool about stuff. Most kids would not want to dress as Napoleon Dynamite for Halloween when they are 5 years old, but he did it and loved it. He’s got the best sense of humor. The thing I like best about Ryan is how chill he is. He’s seriously one of the most relaxed people I know. I mean, he’s 6, so of course he has his hyper moments, but for the most part, he just hangs out. My sister Sam always says how she swears that if we lived by the ocean he would be a surf bum… He’s so funny too. Sunday during dinner we had the most hilarious conversation and I can’t stop laughing about it all week. They are seriously such cool kids. Oh, and they both have the most gorgeous blue eyes and long dark lashes…

3- How has your life changed since joining the church?

I’m just generally happier. Not that I ever considered myself unhappy, I’m just generally happier. I’m also more outgoing.

4- If you could get anything you wanted for Christmas and money was no object, what would you get?

Ugh, this is so hard! I guess probably a new house. Although, I would cry to leave our house! Also, Jeremy keeps wanting to buy me a new wedding ring so I would probably do that since I keep not letting him because I don’t want to spend the money…

5- If you could see anyone in concert who would it be?

I’m not a huge concert goer. I really don’t like to pay money to go to them. Maybe I’m cheap. Hmmm, well, I really don’t know. I would rather just listen to the CD…Ha, dumb I know.

6-Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Wow, hmmm, let’s see. Probably in a new house. As much as I will hate to leave this one...I will most likely have Tyson in college in his sophomore year…Scary to think, but since he skipped a grade, he will barely be 17 when he graduates high school…Maybe preparing to send him on a mission? I guess we’ll have to see what he decides on that one…Ryan will be driving and in his Junior year of High School…Jeremy will be at his same job…We will most likely be doing all the same random things that we do now. I’ll be 37 years old. Still a spring chicken! Lol.

Halloween...

Ugh. Does anyone else get frustrated? Now that my kids are older it's so hard not to get frustrated with them. Ryan only wanted to wear his costume for a little while. Tyson wanted to ditch his wig after a bit...Seriously, lol. Plus, we go to the "carnival" and it seriously sucked so bad! The high school kids put it on and I remember when we were in school it was so good! We would actually decorate like Halloween and have alot of fun things to do. This year, royally sucked...We walked in and then walked right back out. We ended up going out to dinner instead.
Nothing much else is going on. I have to go to a Stake YW meeting tonight. I think they are going to introduce the new theme and stuff. Luckily, it's here in town. Normally, all the stake stuff is a little over an hour away but they just put in a new Stake YW Presidency and the President and one of her counselors lives here so maybe she'll schedule more stuff here so we aren't always having to travel! We are heading out to Utah tomorrow. Jeremy's Grandma lives in Richfield and his brother and his family live in a town right near there so we are heading out to see them. Here are some pics of the kids...

Here is one of Ryan in the little parade that they had. He had ditched his mask and stethoscope by that point! Ugh!
Here's on of Tyson in the parade...

Here's one of Tyson at home before Trick or Treating...Notice the grass stains on his jeans from playing football on the lawn after school..Ugh! Ryan was unwilling to pose for a pic at home. He said that the one that I got of him during his school parade would suffice...Whatever!

Here's one of Jaidyn...She was being a total butt....She wouldn't wear her hood and she cried when we tried to put it on her...Notice the edges of her eyes are red from her tantrum...She had had shots earlier in the day though, so I guess we can cut her some slack...

Well, that's about all I've got today...
