I have Tracy to thank for this fun little number. It was really fun filling it out! Thanks!
1-What's it like being the mother of two boys? Do you ever wish you could have a daughter?
It’s fun, but challenging. I swear about every other day you would think it’s World War III around here. That, or you’d think you were in the middle of the WWF crowd. Really, they are either best friends or worst enemies at this point. I like the idea of them getting closer as they get older. There are 2 boys here that were basically “adopted” by the family that lives across the street. They came from very humble beginnings in Samoa. Their mom and dad wanted a good education for them so they sent them here to the US. They started out in Vegas with their aunt, but were being heavily recruited for gangs, so they ended up here. A few months ago, when the older brother was leaving on his mission, they were talking in church. They have such an awesome love for each other. At times, that was all they had…each other. That’s what I want my boys to feel for each other as they get older…As for wanting a daughter…There was a time, after I had both of the boys and I knew that I was for sure done having kids, that I literally would have given almost anything for a daughter…It killed me to think that I would never have a little girl…I longed for small things like dressing them up and fixing their hair, to thinking of how I would never help a daughter with her wedding, or help her with her babies….I got over it. I know I was meant to have the family that I have. Now, as the years have gone by, I have had opportunities to be close to little girls…Trisha’s girls, my niece Jaidyn…I’m able to buy them cute clothes, and spoil them that way, but I can leave them when they throw their fits or start in with the drama! Lol.
2-What are the things you love best about your hubby? What are the things you love best about yourself? Your Sons?
The thing I love most about
Jeremy is that he’s seriously the best guy. He would do just about anything for anyone. After Eric died, he would do so much for Trisha…There was a time when I was at her house and it was after 9 at night. He was already at home in bed, but she needed a fire made in the fireplace, so he got out of bed and came over to bring in some firewood and make her a fire. He is always one of the few that shows up at service projects. Plus, he’s so hilarious. We seriously laugh the whole time we are together. He’s the type who teases and makes fun of everyone. If I ever get mad at him, which is very rare, I can't stay mad more than 5 minutes because he will make me laugh. He’s borderline genius and if you have any type of random question, he can most likely answer it, and he’s basically a human calculator. He’s the best dad and husband and he provides well for the boys and me. The thing I like best about
myself is that I consider myself a happy person. I go with the flow and don’t let little things get to me. I’m sarcastic, I like that in people. I hate when people are serious all the time. It’s much too boring.
The thing I like best about
Tyson is that he’s just about a mini me of Jeremy. He’s smart and sarcastically hilarious. I love that he’s so cool about stuff. Most kids would not want to dress as Napoleon Dynamite for Halloween when they are 5 years old, but he did it and loved it. He’s got the best sense of humor. The thing I like best about
Ryan is how chill he is. He’s seriously one of the most relaxed people I know. I mean, he’s 6, so of course he has his hyper moments, but for the most part, he just hangs out. My sister Sam always says how she swears that if we lived by the ocean he would be a surf bum… He’s so funny too. Sunday during dinner we had the most hilarious conversation and I can’t stop laughing about it all week. They are seriously such cool kids. Oh, and they both have the most gorgeous blue eyes and long dark lashes…
3- How has your life changed since joining the church?
I’m just generally happier. Not that I ever considered myself unhappy, I’m just generally happier. I’m also more outgoing.
4- If you could get anything you wanted for Christmas and money was no object, what would you get?
Ugh, this is so hard! I guess probably a new house. Although, I would cry to leave our house! Also, Jeremy keeps wanting to buy me a new wedding ring so I would probably do that since I keep not letting him because I don’t want to spend the money…
5- If you could see anyone in concert who would it be?
I’m not a huge concert goer. I really don’t like to pay money to go to them. Maybe I’m cheap. Hmmm, well, I really don’t know. I would rather just listen to the CD…Ha, dumb I know.
6-Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Wow, hmmm, let’s see. Probably in a new house. As much as I will hate to leave this one...I will most likely have Tyson in college in his sophomore year…Scary to think, but since he skipped a grade, he will barely be 17 when he graduates high school…Maybe preparing to send him on a mission? I guess we’ll have to see what he decides on that one…Ryan will be driving and in his Junior year of High School…Jeremy will be at his same job…We will most likely be doing all the same random things that we do now. I’ll be 37 years old. Still a spring chicken! Lol.
