Easter Project and Giveaway

Thanks for stopping by this Saturday morning... I have had several emails/requests on how I created these adorable chicks for my cards/projects this past week, so with that being said... I will include the details on this Blog post.

For the egg, I used my oval Nestablilites.  After the oval was cut out, I ran it thru one of my favorite embossing folders by Quickutz called Polka Dots.  I then used a pair of my pinking scissors and cut thru the center of the oval.

For the baby chicks, I used the following punches.  Head (SU 1 1/4 Circle Punch)  Body (SU 1 3/8 Punch) Hands (SU Small Heart Punch) and Chick Hair (Martha Steward grass punch - left over scraps)

***My chicks on today's card/project were created with the following supplies:  Pail - Archivers, Cardstock - SU Crumb Cake, Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink and Pumpkin Pie.  Border Punches - Marth Stewart Grass and Bunny (both punches are hard to find) **The chicks nose can be created using a corner of any square or star punch.  For the eyes, I used my Close to Cocoa marker. *All shapes were sponged using the corresponding ink to make it pop.

Before I go, I also wanted to share a quick card I created for a friend of mine.  Quite a simple card to mass produce and looks quite fancy with all of the layers & embossing...

Please leave a comment, one lucky winner will receive one of my Easter cards and some twine.  The winner will be announced on Monday, March 12th.  Enjoy your weekend!

Easter Cards and Project

Happy Monday!  This whole week, I will be posting a NEW Easter card and/or project.  I start today off with another fun project and card.  While this looks like a card here, its acturally a 4 drawer box and I just designed the top portion of it.

For full directions on how to create this box, please follow this link here.  For extra fun, I also created a card.  As of today, both the card and project are on their way to Norway.  God Paske - means Happy Easter in Norwegian).

The bunny image was printed out and colored in using my Copics.  For extra fun, I added some glitter and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by... Enjoy your week and don't forget to stop back soon, I will have more Easter cards/projects to share as well as a fun giveaway.

Easter Cards and Project

Happy Friday!  I would like to share a few cards and projects I have been working on for Easter.  I will be uploading more during this coming week as well as another fun giveaway.  For my first project, I created a basket using and 8.5 x 8.5 piece of brown cardstock.  Then I scored it at 2.5 on all sides.  I added the handle and then created the bunny from a digi image by Stamps and Smiles.

Using some extra scraps, I then created a matching card.  The grass was created using an older border punch by Martha Stewart.  The bunny was printed out and colored in using my Copics.  To finish the card off, I added some extra Easter eggs, glitter and some twine.  Enjoy the close-up below.

Please stop back soon as I will be uploading more cards and projects over the next week or so.  I will also have a giveaway.  Enjoy your weekend!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Since this might be my last post of the year, I want to thank all those that follow my Blog!  I LOVE sharing my inspirations with all of you and hope you will continue to follow my blog in the coming year!

Before I go, I have one last card to share... Since my dad LOVES Starbucks coffee, I created card for him.  Most of the supplies are from SU.  The base of the card is crumb cake.  I rolled the background using the Snow wheel and white craft ink.  The cup was created by cutting a piece of red cardstock 2.75 x 3.75, then I used my scor-pal to slant in the sides to create a cup.  I then stamped the red cs piece using an image from SU called Dasher.  Before adding the cup to the card, I crimped another piece of crumb cake cardstock and wrapped a piece of twin and added a cute tag.  To finish the card off, I added a couple of snowflakes.

I hope you are inspired by today's card, it was super fun to create and will certainly be well liked by those that LOVE coffee!!!

Merry Christmas to you all ~ Ho Ho Ho

Top Note Gift Card Holder & Giveaway

Today's card was inspired by a tutorial I saw on Dawn's Blog.  I was SO inspired by the video that I just had to create something special.  For my design, I started by using some designer paper by October Afternoon (this paper was purchased last year).  Since the paper is double-sided I was able to create a design that coordinated together.

The top note fold opens to add a gift card or even cash.

This card is super easy to make and makes a great gift card/money holder.  If you are inspired by today's card/project please leave me a message - One lucky will win the card and a few goodies from my stamp room.  Don't forget to stop by Dawn's Blog for more video tutorials.

Good morning crafter's!! Today's projects are the following challenges: Our Creative Corner (Let's Get paper folding) and for Project Tuesday (Gate Fold Card). Everyone is welcome to play along, feel free to use your favorite stamps and supplies.
For my card, I created a gate fold card, you can find all of the directions here. For my sample, I used a NEW stamp set by Stamps and Smiles called Home Baked Goodies. Since I was baking some cookies for my daughters homecoming, I quickly put a card together for her to also hand out. Splitcoast created this easy to follow tutorial along with a super cute sample.

Since I have been super busy, I always seem to be playing catch up!! However, I did manage to play this weekend. We hope you have time to stop by and see all of the other wonderful samples by the OCC Design Team.
Before I go, I would just like to take a few minutes and say a prayer for all of those that lost there lives on September 11th. You will NEVER be forgotten!!

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by! Just a quick post for today's challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Our September host, Lori Rider, has challenged the OCC to feature letters and/or numbers on a card or project. We warmly invite you to play along, feel free to use your favorite supplies.
Even though school has started for my kids, I created this pencil holder for Hannah's teacher - she will surprise her with it on Tuesday!! For my sample, I covered a small paint can with red cardstock and found this adorable FREEBIE over Meljen's Designs. The image was paper pieced (Rose, I hope I make you proud) and some of the pieces were popped up using pop dots. To finish it off, I added the sentiment and a chipboard letter.
Before I go, I would like to share a picture of Jake, as you can see from the picture, he is doing much better and his scar on his head fades a little more each day! Thanks for keeping him in your hearts and prayers!!
I am also sharing a picture I took off our our deck last night. Yesterday it was dark and rainy but for a few moments, the sun came out to play. It was SO beautiful, I had to share it with all of you!! Have a safe Labor Day weekend and don't forget to stop by Our Creative Corner to see the other fun samples by the design team.
