Rolled Paper Flower Video Tutorial

I was going to wait until the weekend to post this, but you know when I've created something I just get too excited and gotta share it with you guys straight away, so here it is:
When I first started being creative again I used to roll paper quite a bit both for artwork and jewellery making, but while playing recently I came up with a simple formula for getting easy-peasy perfect flowers every time, here's the tut:

They really do make SUCH cute rings that I had to make a few out of them, some of which are available in my Etsy stop (but you know me I'll be off onto the next project soon, so only a limited amount are available and for limited time I'm afraid so get going if you want one ;) ):
...and just incase you were wondering what background tutorial it was that I made the flower in the top middle of the below picture with, it can be found here. I used one of the 'B-sides', not even one of the nicer ones, to make it but I have to say I think it turned out my favourite =)

That's all folks, have a great crafty evening love Jennibellie =D xoxo

Eco-friendly Bejeweled Bauble Tutorial

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!
I think this post just need to start with that because I am sooooo happy that this tut is done & ready to be turned into Beautiful Baubles that'll hang proudly on (hopefully) many a Christmas tree =)
If you know me you know I get really excited when I know I've made something that's not only beautiful, but also functional and lastly something that is eco-friendly as well ~  well these Baubles encompass all those things so I couldn't be more delighted with them.
What tops it off even further is I know me creating these and showing how they're made will prompt more good use for things that are bad for our environment ~ so if you like them please consider making these beauties too before you throw out any plastic! Just consider the happy faces that could be seen on Christmas day if you give someone special one of these beautiful baubles as a gift, with all your handmade love visible within it.

By the way Mama HAPPY CHRISTMAS, seeing these beauties are yours ;)
My mum (otherwise known as Mama or Mumsie), been determined to get her pic
on this blog at some point for whatever reason mwaaah haaa haaa ;)

So without further ado here is the tutorial,
my Christmas gift to you ~ all the wonderful people
that have made my 2012 a lovely year to be online =)

Much love, Jennibellie xxx

AEDM & NaNoWriMo Day 14

Today's creation for AEDM is yesterdays cereal box journal turned into a handbag:

By adding an old belt, some dog collar grips and parts of a broken necklace. The dog collar grips connect the two key chain rings on the front and back covers of the journal, making it balanced as well as removable.

I'm going to call it a "clutch" when the long handle is detached lol

I also added some charms (as I never can resist).

And second is a bracelet I made after visiting my friend Sarahs blog over at Saturday Sequins, who yesterday gave some great links to artists blogs (thanks again for my shout out :) ). After having a gander I came across Crafting Rebellion, who was making some awesome half stretch/half chain bracelets. I haven't made any jewellery the whole of this year, but was inspired so went rummaging for some bits to make this:

I didn't follow exactly her instructions as I added some those loop things that you see and made it more of a centre piece for the butterfly, but I got all my materials by recycling old pieces (except for some of the chain & two headpins) so worked with what was available and I liked best. While wearing it the length of the dangle reminds me of some bracelets I used to wear a lot as a teen - those ones that drape down to lead into a ring on the middle finger.
Day 13's final word count for NaNoWriMo was: (only) 1,004, but as it was achieved at 3am this morning & considering I'm not v.well at the mo I'm actually quite pleased with that.

Totalling: 15,218, soon as I feel better I'm kicking that novels ass!

Happy two weeks in exactly to all those doing any November challenges, hugs Jennibellie x
