finally...it's happened to me...

i did a thank you card for a wonderful family who has done so much for my hubby...used almost all American Crafts on this one and Lauren's sketch #54 from 2S4Y:

i have two "finally's" to announce.  the first i can show and tell, the second will have to wait a bit.

"finally"  #1:

i finished my everyday album...done!  here's a before and after of the whole album:

and here are 2 photos for each day from 5.17 thru 5.23 (you can see 5.12 thru 5.16 on this post by clicking here):

a total of 78 pages.  whew!  the things i would do differently next time:  just do an exact week, use page protectors and page protector dividers.  this was a long process but i'm glad i did it and i'm glad it's DONE. most of all i'm glad now that i have something to look back on and not take the little things for granted that happen almost everyday.

"finally" #2:  one of my other scrappy dreams has come true, but i can't say what it is until the announcement has been made on the Scrap Tiffany blog.  all i can say is:  I'M SO EXCITED!!!!  FINALLY IT'S HAPPENED TO ME!


today...

1. i will need to gather a few scrappy stuff to take along our road trip to cali
2. at least clean the toilet bowls (i like to do things little by little)
3. pick up Maiya at the bus stop
4. bake some balsamic rosemary chicken wings for dinner

hello thursday...

Inspired Blueprints sketch #49 is now out.  had fun with this today especially since it had to be about yourself.  i don't get to do too many pages of just about me....it's time i start doing more and this sketch has got me going.

i used the A Million Memories May kit for this one and here's my take:

my random list:

• my last day of work was 5.31.10
• i like to dunk my fries in ketchup mixed with lots and lots of ground pepper
• enjoying being a SAHM, at least temporarily
• i haven't had a cupcake for almost 4 weeks
• addicted to blog surfing
• one of my besties is Rachel Ray, she's been helping me with dinner every nite ever since i've been on 'vacation'
• love reality tv shows on bravo, tlc, & mtv
• love taking silly selfies, can't you tell?
• i live less than five minutes away from my sis
• hoping to get prego, need to expand the clan

checked off my list of my weekly grocery run at walmart.  the freezer is now full officially...

and these have already been properly placed in the cupboards...

can you believe walmart sells bunches of flowers for $5 each?  yes...they do!  and... i got me some...got myself a scrappy gift (on sale of course!) for myself as well since it was payday today...

i did a couple days worth of photos for my everyday album while "babysitting" my nephews after school.  yesterday i was able to fit in a couple of cards...will post those laterz..one of them will only be a sneak peek b/c it's for someone 'special.'

was organizing some older photos from last year and bumped into some when went to pacific beach last summer as a family.  we use to go camping here almost every year, but things changed over time and we could not get all our schedules in sync...but last year we were able to.  it was so beautiful that time too and definitely FUN!  here's a few of my favez...

the first and most beautiful sunset i've ever experienced in my life...i'm gonna miss this place and times like these with family.

everyday, everyday...and something new too

got some more scrappiness time in late yesterday afternoon and last night...here's a few snapshots of my 'everyday album'....

there's actually way more than this but i just chose to post 2 for each day from 5.12.10 thru 5.15.10.  i actually forgot to order prints for 5.18 and realized that the other day...so i ordered them today with a bunch of others from snapfish (i'm a regular customer of theirs, we're like besties!).  i'll be starting on 5.16 soon...7 more days to scrap of everyday stuff that's usually taken for granted.  this album really made me realize that little things that we don't usually think about really matter too.

oh yeah, finally took a shot of my gratitude journal as well...just used scraps, biz cards, parts of menus, and any other memorabilia i get my hands on and said a few words and glued them in..voila!

and yes that's a cup of my yumm-o hazelnut milk coffee...one of my morning rituals.  heehee.

got a new haircut today...it's really really really short!!!!  just joking babez!  but i did chop off a bit. kim, my stylist, who i am gonna miss foreva, has been doing my hair foreva.  got her a bunch of referrals from former co-workers to total strangers i meet in places like target, etc.  i just don't know if i can i have anyone else do my hair for me in cali....i just might have to schedule an appointment everytime i come into town when i drop off my daughter for vacations.  hmmmm....
