Design and Carve your own Stamps. Workshop in San Clemente, CA

May 4: Stamp Design and Carving

$125. 10am-4pm

San Clemente Art Supply, San Clemente, California

Click to REGISTER HERE

Description: A rubber stamp of your own design is a wonderful addition to an artist’s personal ‘tool box.’ Create a simple, graphic design to be used again and again on paper, cloth or any surface. Jane will guide you to select an flower image from a copyright free source, change it, simplify it and then, once it’s your own unique creation, carve the design into a small printmaking block. You’ll use this skill again and again!

I love to design and carve my own original stamps. It's so satisfying! And you can use them on paper or cloth and they last for years and years. Don't worry if you don't think you can draw, I'll have copyright free books to inspire you.

Recycled Circles go round again

"Indigo Dance" 12x12 inches IN PROGRESS ~ Recycled Circles by Jane LaFazio
Workshop in a museum at Visions Art Museum, San Diego
Last week, I taught my ever-popular (thank you!) workshop "Recycled Circles" at Visions Art Museum in San Diego. It's a great workshop (if I do say so myself) as an introduction to art quilts. And all these small art quilts were created in just one day.
Take a look at this cool student work:

Join me for a day of sketching and painting from nature, using pencil, pen and watercolor. Basic drawing and quick, intuitive watercolor will be taught and will form the start of a small journal. I can teach you to draw (even if you haven’t drawn since 3rd grade).

River cruise on the Danube AND Sketching & Watercolor!

A workshop with me in 2015. http://JaneLaFazio.com Details on http://cruisetourtravel.com/art_river_cruise

carlo and Jane
Carlo and I (in Italy last year)
I'm so excited about a workshop I've got planned for 2015. Yup, a river cruise, with all the gorgeous sites and sounds along the Danube river, plus all your meals and room AND daily sketching and watercolor classes with me. The plan is to draw on the ship, sometimes and other times, we'll meet on land and draw what we see. Either way, you'll be able to truly enjoy every moment of the trip and have a sketchbook of memories when you return home.

I know it seems early, but to get the best selections in each category at the best price, book soon! You can find all the details here and if you have questions, email Carlo, and she can answer all the logistical stuff.

Plus, everyone who signs up will receive their choice of one of my ONLINE 6 week sketching and watercolor classes for FREE! (I'm creating some new ones, too!)  Yup, that's your incentive and if you are in any way nervous about the drawing and painting part of the trip.
