I'm thrilled to be able to finally share this little quilt with you. I created it especially for Roxanne Evans Stout brand new book, "Storytelling with Collage."

I really love this piece. It's made from vintage lace and napkins and an envelope, fabric from Paris, a and a a watercolor I created of a little bird.

The free motion stitching is of a peony, (my favorite flower, discovered while I was visiting France) and of a fleur de lis.

I got a digital copy of Roxanne's book, which made me even more excited to get a hard copy. It's a gorgeous book filled with Roxanne's unique and sensitive art work. Totally inspiring!

Cas' first book "The Found Object in Textile Art" was a huge influence on me and the way I work.

Just Jane!  a new eBook by Quilting Arts magazine!
Well, how exciting is this? Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors magazines have created an eBook of Just Jane! (love that title!) It's 58 pages long is consists of 14 of the articles I've written. 

I'm just thrilled about this retrospective of my magazine work! (Especially, since I read in the newspaper recently about a movie company have releasing a retrospective of Doris Day's films. For her 91st birthday! So glad I didn't have to wait that long.)

I've got an article in the recent Quilting Arts magazine, June/July 2013, showing how to use stencils in your work with fabric (or paper). And what do you know, I'm using the stencils I designed for Stencil Girl Products in the article! Coincidence? I think not.
