Yes, more layered pages with vellum! This time, smaller (5x7") and destined to be sent in the mail (in an envelope.) I machine stitched the vellum on.

From my sketchbook: patterns and doodles and layers
The designs and patterns and shapes were inspired by the sketchbook pages below. A visit to the Art Institute of Chicago, and photos of the fascinating architectural elements.
Definitely time for some stamp carving, using these designs.

From my Sketchbook
This month's Sketchbook Challenge theme of doodles has really triggered something in me.
I got the idea to layer a piece of Strathmore Translucent Vellum, that I already had, from one of the ideas in Jill K. Berry's book, Personal Geographies.
I'll be doing a Valentine tutorial on this blog on January 25, and I'll show you how I created a journal page like this and then, use the image to create a valentine card and envelope.
