Simon Says Stamps challenge DT - My sketch

Woohoo!! It is time for another Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week it is a sketch by me!!

As always we are sponsored by our lovely boss Heidi with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store!!!

I used the sketch to create a Father's Day card for my Father in Law using some gorgeous papers by Bo Bunny.

I distressed all the edges with walnut stain distress ink and stickles.

I coloured Edwin wainting for fish with copics and added a touch of stickles to the water.

I created the letter tiles with Tim Holtz vintage market die and some kraft cardstock tiles. The sentiment is from Whiff of joy and the "tusk" and string is recycled from a straw hat LOL!

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge. Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations! Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Bingo!!

Woohoo!! It is time for another challenge over at Simon Says Stamps challenge and this week we're playing Bingo!! Our lovely Domi has created a Bingo grid and you simply choose a line, accross, down or diagnoal and add those items to your card! The team are using stamps from The Greetings Farm this week so if you have any we'd love to see them but it is not essential. As always we are sponsored by Heidi with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp Store!
I choose to use the line with shape, lace and flowers for my card using the gorgeous Flutter Anya. The papers are by MME and I used a Go Create die to create the fancy shape of my card.
I have coloured Anya with copics and added lots of stickles to her skirt and wings.
The gorgeous glittered rose is by Prima and I added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers too. The leaves and dragonfly are both doohickey die cuts.
The fabulous pennants in the top corner were cut with a Whiff of Joy die.
I really went to town with the lace part of my Bingo line and added two lots from my stash!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations! Thanks for looking! x

Woohoo!! It is time for another Simon Says Stamps challenge and this week our theme is Let's Get Fruity - so fruity papers, fruity images, fruity charms - all sorts of possibilities!!

As always Heidi is sponsoring the challenge with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store. I am also entering my card into the Sketchy Colors challenge who would like to see the colours red, green and white.

I have used some gorgeous papers by Magnolia from the Sweet Rainbow Collection and I've distressed and sewn the edges. I have used Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch along the edges of the gingham paper.

I coloured Strawberry Yummy Tilda with copics and added stickles to the lace on her dress and glossy accents to the strawberries.

Mmmmmm how delicious do they look LOL!?!?!!

The gorgeous aida flowers are by Prima and I added a blossom from my stash. The leaves have been cut with a doohickey die and I added some lace and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

I used the gorgeous heart swirl doohickey around my other flower and a strawberry charm to complete the fruity theme.

Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Father's Day

Hurray!! The weather has finally cheered up in the UK (well it had as I'm typing this LOL hopefully it still has when you're reading it!). Thank goodness, as it is half term here and after a weekend of non stop rain I was worried we were going to be stuck inside all week! Anyway, back to business, and it is time for another Simon Says Stamps Challenge!!

As always Heidi is sponsoring us with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store!!! Our theme this week is Father's Day. The DT are showcasing fabby Tim Holtz products this week so if you have any we'd love to see them on your creation but it isn't essential! I loved making this card!! I absolutely love colouring images but it is great fun to be creative with messy inks and have to think more about the design!

Here's what I came up with! I wanted to use the amazing Tim Holtz pocket watch to convey my message of having "time to relax" on Father's Day. I found the perfect papers in my stash by Webster's Pages covered in clock faces and pocket watches! I cut one of them out to put inside the pocket watch. I distressed the edges with vintage photo and walnut stain distress inks. The huge heart is from Tim Holtz' grungeboard elements set. I inked it with broken china distress stain and stamped over it with a Hero Arts stamp.

Here's a close up of the pocket watch - it is so cool! The face comes off so you can put whatever you want inside. I have attached some Tim Holtz ball chain to it and of course the tickets are by Tim Holtz too.

I used one of Tim's hinge clips to fasten the other end of the ball chain to the heart. The pearls are from my stash.

Inside I used some more of the Webster's Pages paper and created my own sentiment on the computer, so along with the tickets on the front, the card says "Love, Wish, Hope...you find time to relax this Father's Day".

I used a variety of fonts to try to make the sentiment a bit more Tim Holtz style.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps Challenge. Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the teams amazing cards! Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamps Challenge and Whiff of Joy DT - Stars and Stripes

Time for another Simon Says Stamp challenge!! As always we are sponsored by the super generous Heidi who is offering the winner a $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store!!

Our theme this week is stars and stripes! I have used paper by Bo Bunny and one of the stamps from the Whiff of Joy summer kit.

I inked the edges of the paper with walnut stain distress ink and then created a blackboard with some coredinations cardstock.

I have coloured Willow with copics and added glossy accents to her glasses.

The numbers are another stamp from the Whiff of Joy kit. I've stamped them with opaque white stazon to look like chalk on the blackboard! The flowers are a mixture from my stash. The flat yellow flowers are by Hero Arts and the gorgeous pink one is by Prima.

The "You make the grade" sentiment is also from the kit, again stamped with white to look like chalk.

The star I have made from grungeboard using a sizzix die. I embossed the grungeboard first with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I inked the star with walnut stain distress ink and then sprayed it with gold cosmic shimmer.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge. Pop over to the blog to see the inspiration from the rest of the team - gorgeous as always! Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Sparkle and Glimmer

Woohoo! Time for another fab challenge at Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this week our challenge is sparkle and glimmer!

The DT are all showcasing Tattered Angels product this week - we'd love for you to use them on your project if you have them but it is not essential! I loved making my project! I have used Tattered Angels glimmer mist of course but also two other products that I didn't even realise Tattered Angels made until I looked in the Simon Says Stamp store!!!

I would also like to enter my creation into the challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar as their theme is anything goes; Totally Gorjuss challenge, who's theme is not square and Papertake Weekly's challenge which is Bloom and Grow!

One of those products is the Tattered Angels mask I have used to create the gorgeous heart shaped lock on my little hanging cushion. I have used Sticky Back canvas and a generous spray of Rose Tea glimmer mist to reveal the gorgeous lacey design of the mask. I added lace around the outside and have sewn two hearts together before filling with cotton wool (LOL all I had to hand at the time).

I have added lots of my favourite things for details: part of a gorgeous Prima swirl; Prima butterfly and my new found favourite - a Tattered Angels key!! I have painted the key with picket fence crackle paint and then covered it in glue n seal so that it doesn't flake off the metal key (which I have to say is working brilliantly and I made this about three weeks ago now!).

I cut some rose leaves with a doohickey die from some more sticky back canvas and inked them with bundled sage and walnut stain distress inks. The ribbon was originally a pale silver and I've altered it with more Tattered Rose glimmer mist. The gorgeous flowers are all by Prima except the rose and rose buds. The beautiful button in the middle of the white flower is by K&Co from their Madeleine collection.

I left the back plain - you can see here the gorgeous detail of the full mask.

Here is the cushion hung in it's new home an iron bedhead.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the teams gorgeous glimmer creations! Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Look What the Stork Brought

Woohoo!! Time for another challenge at Simon Says Stamp's Challenge and this week our theme is Look What the Stork Brought! As always we are sponsored by the very generous Heidi with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store!!!

As I only have two baby stamps I decided to make something different and came up with the idea of creating a bib as the focal point for the card. The papers are from Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby collection, sewn and distressed.

I cut the bib using nesties and stitched some lace around the edge. The butterflies are by Magnolia and were stamped in Victorian Velvet distress ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder to give the effect of being embroidered onto the bib.

The gorgeous blossoms are by Prima and the rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The leaves were cut with a Magnolia doohickey die and the pearl stems are from my stash.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy stamped with Victorian Velvet distress ink and I attached the tag with a couple of Tim Holtz mini fasteners.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the gorgeous baby cards from the rest of the team! Thanks for looking! x
