Mangolia-licious DT - Celebrations!

Good morning!  It is time for another Magnolia-licious Challenge and this time our theme is 'Anything Goes' with the option of 'Celebrations'.  So, any celebration is acceptable, Christening, Wedding, Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, etc.  I have created a 40th birthday card.
The birthday isn't the right month to use Pisces Tilda but she is just so dreamy and beautiful I couldn't resist using her!  I have used the no lines technique and painted her with Distress Inks.  I have added dots to her cheeks with a white gel pen, Stardust Stickles to the bubbles and her tail and Glossy Accents to the water.
The pink and white flowers are poppies from Live and Love crafts and the blue roses is from my stash.  The gorgeous die cut butterfly has been cut with a Spellbinders die.
The 40 was cut with a Memory Box die from some glitter paper I recycled from last year's Christmas crackers.  The cheesecloth is from The Ribbon Girl.
The berry branches were also cut with a Memory Box die and the butterfly border die is from Joy Crafts.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Magnolia-licious.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.

As always, Diana is sponsoring the challenge with a fabulous prize from the Magnolia-licious store.  Thanks for looking! x

Love Birds Anniversary Card

Good morning!  December and January are always a busy time for me card making wise as in addition to Christmas there are lots of celebrations in our family during these months.  This is an anniversary card that I made for one such event just before Christmas.
I used Tim Holtz Caged Bird die to create the two 'love birds' which are covered with a Magnolia paper.
The metal heart is from Live and Love Crafts.
I've used the Martha Stewart Heart Lace punch where the two papers meet and added some gems from my stash.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Live & Love Crafts GDT - Summer Garden

Good morning!  I am so excited about today's post because Sandra from Live & Love Crafts invited me to be her Guest Designer for June!  What a dream!  Live & Love Crafts have recently introduced Stempelglede stamps to their selection which is brilliant news for Stempelglede fans in the UK!  The challenge theme is 'Summer Garden', just perfect for using the gorgeous stamps from Stempelglede's Vintage Garden collection.
You may remember I coloured this image as a Robin in January and have found out since that the image is, in fact, a Robin.  I wanted to use a little artistic licence to see if it would work painted as one of my favourite birds, the Blue-tit to create a summer scene.  I think it works beautifully, what do you think?  I have used Distress Inks pads to paint the image and a touch of white gel pen to add the white details on the head, wing and flowers.
The gorgeous vintage seam binding, poppy flowers, lace and rose pearl trim are all from Live & Love Crafts.  The postage stamps are from Stempelglede's Postcard from Paris collection.  The hydrangeas I made using coffee filter paper, distress ink and a Martha Stewart punch.
The stunning white flower spray is also from Live & Love Crafts.  The butterfly is from Stempelglede's Vintage Baby collection and the gorgeous postcard behind the main image is also from Stempelglede's Postcard from Paris collection.
I have used the Moment Bonheur sentiment from the Stempelglede Postcard from Paris collection along the bottom of the image and added two more butterflies.
The sentiment is from Stempelglede's Follow Your Heart collection - all of these sentiments are so beautiful and have been designed in gorgeous font styles too.  I used one of the swirls from the Follow Your Heart collection around the sentiment and image panels in a soft grey ink.
The butterfly, postmark and postage stamp image is also from the Postcard from Paris collection and I added another individual stamp in pink too.  The gorgeous rustic heart is from Live & Love Crafts - so gorgeously shabby!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Live & Love Crafts for this challenge.  Thank you again to Sandra for inviting me to Guest Design for you - it was my pleasure!  Thanks for looking. x
