Stempelglede DT - Anniversary Card

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share an anniversary card I made for my brother and his wife using Stempelglede stamps.
I embossed one of the stamps from the Grunge Flourish Hearts collection in silver onto some pink vellum and cut out just the centre heart.
I also used the butterfly from the Vintage Baby collection stamped onto white tissue paper.
The cherub is from Magnolia.  It was actually a deep pink colour so I painted it with Picket Fence Crackle Paint to soften the colour and make it appear aged!  The flowers are from the Ribbon Girl except the Large white flower.
I added lace underneath the bottom edge of the paper as well as on top for a pretty vintage look.
The banner die is from La-la Land Crafts and the sparkly heart is from The Ribbon Girl too.
I used a couple of hearts that were cut out from the banner die to decorate the card.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

La-la Land Crafts GDT - Father/Masculine

Good morning!  I have another La-la Land Crafts card to share with you today.  Our the theme over on the La-la Land Crafts Blog this week is 'Father/Masculine'.  As I hadn't actually made any of this year's Father's Day cards yet this challenge was perfect to get me started on them!  I opted for a plain kraft card background as I love the look of navy, red and white with kraft.
I used the Lattice Doily Border Die to create the main background for the card.  I've used it twice and separated them with some gorgeous navy ribbon from The Ribbon Girl.  The red letters are Webster's Pages stickers.
I used the Heart Lock and Key die set  to create embellishments from silver cardstock.  The little hearts that are dotted in the corners of the card are the off cuts from these two dies.
Here's a close up of the Heart Lock.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I've added some thick jute string behind it to add a bit of texture to the card.
I've also used the Feathers dies.  Both style of feather come in the one set.  I've inked the edges of them with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to make them stand out.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, stamped onto gold cardstock.
So...that's one Father's Day card down, four to go.  Oops!  Better get cracking with the rest seeing as there is only a week to go!  Pop over to the La-la Land Crafts Blog to see the rest of the team's stunning cards.  Thanks for looking! x

La-la Land Crafts GDT - Tick Tock Add a Clock

Good morning!  It is time for another La-la Land Crafts post and this week the theme is to add a clock.  I have used gorgeous dies from La-la Land Crafts and a Prima clock to create my interpretation of the theme.
I have used the Lattice Doily Border Die for the background behind the clock and the Cherry Blossom Branch too.

As well as the Prima clock I have added a bird from The Ribbon Girl.  Time flies - get it lol?

La-la Land Crafts GDT - More Than One Fold

Good morning!  I have another La-la Land Crafts creation to show you today.  Our theme for this week is 'More Than One Fold'.  I knew I wanted to create a fan when I saw the gorgeous Cherry Blossom Branch Die.
I have painted Kimono Marci With Fan using Distress Inks in the following colours:

Hair: Black Soot.
Skin: Weathered Wood, Black Soot, Tea Dye and Fired Brick.
Fan: Black Soot, Weathered Wood, Worn Lipstick.

Her kimono has been paper pieced.
Here's a close up of the cherry blossom design I've created on the fan using the die.  I also used some of the off cut flowers from the centres of the cherry blossoms to dot around to resemble petals blowing away in the wind.
On the base of the card I have used the Lattice Doily Border Die over some pink paper.
On the back of the card I've used the Heart Fan Die to cover the glued areas that are keeping the fan together!
I hope you like it and I have inspired you.  Pop over to the La-la Land Crafts blog to see the rest of the team's inspiration.  Thanks for looking! x

La-la Land Crafts GDT - Use a Number

Good morning!  I have another La-la Land Crafts creation to share with you today.  This week our theme is to use a number.  I created an eight shaped card base by using circle dies for the centre cut outs and then drawing and cutting the external shape by hand.  I used small off cuts of several different papers to create a patchwork of colours and designs on the background.
I have painted Paper Doll Marci Princess with distress inks and added stickles to her crown, shoes and parts of her dress.  I've also added Glossy Accents to the sash around her middle and added a tiny punched butterfly to it.  I've used the following colours to paint her:

Hair: Scattered Straw, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Fired Brick.
Dress and shoes: Weathered Wood, Black Soot, Bundled Sage and Festive Berries.

The flowers I've used are all from The Ribbon Girl.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
