Gorjuss Girl

Good morning!  It is a long, long, long time since I have used a Gorjuss Girl on a card, but after seeing all the bags and books you can get with them on now I thought one would be perfect to use on a card for my son to give a friend turning thirteen.
I painted her with Distress Inks as always.

I did a spot of doodling in the corner of the card to balance with the sentiment at the top.
For the sentiment I used individual letter stamps.  I also added a little doodle from the 'a' in happy.
The twine and button are from my stash.

I used the butterfly on the paper as an embellishment by cutting around one half of it so that it pops out above the papers.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

A Large Gorguss Girl

Good morning!    I have another Gorjuss Girl card to share with you today from the collection I have created for The Hobby House.  Now, is it me or is this girl rather large lol!?!?!  She's cute though!!
The gorgeous sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps and I used the matching die to cut around it.  The fancy pearl edging either side of the sentiment is from The Hobby House.
I have coloured the image with Prismacolor Pencils and added white gel pen dots to her cheeks.  The brads and flowers are all from The Hobby House and I have used a Cheery Lynn doily die behind the image mat.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

A Gorjuss Girl in Love!

Good morning!  Today I have another card from the collection I've created for The Hobby House.  I love this Gorjuss Girl, she looks so forlorn doesn't she!?
I have coloured her with Prismacolor pencils onto kraft cardstock and added dots to her cheeks with a white gel pen.
I have used a Cheery Lynn doily die behind the image, which you can get from The Hobby House.  The lace, ribbon, charm, buttons and flowers are also from The Hobby House.
The stamp sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps as is the die I have cut the mat with.  The pearl swirls are part of a larger swirl from The Hobby House which I've cut up.
Ooooh look!  A bit of sun came out for my final photo lol, thank goodness I captured it on camera as it's an incredibly rare sight around here at the moment!  I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Another Gorjuss Girl

Woohoo!!  Well, for once the weather didn't disappoint and all but one of the displays went ahead as planned at the airshow :)!  So three happy bunnies in our house after being wowed by the Red Arrows and the Red Devils!!  We had a picnic on the beach while we watched - it was a great day!!  I have another Gorjuss Girl for you today, the second one of my collection for The Hobby House.
I have coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and added tiny dots to her cheeks with a white gel pen.  The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
The ribbon, button, pearl flower trim and flowers are all from The Hobby House.  The gorgeous sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps.
Here's a close up of the pearl trim - how gorgeous is that!?
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

A Very Gorgeous Gorjuss Girl!

Good morning!  I hope you're all enjoying the weekend.  We certainly are!  There is a Festival of Flight here this weekend which we visited yesterday and we are going again today.  Fingers crossed for less wind and nice weather as the display we wanted to see most yesterday (WWII Lancaster Bomber) had to cancel, and today is the fabulous Red Arrows, so we certainly don't want those to have to cancel!!  My little boy will be inconsolable if that happens!  I always love to see the Red Arrows, takes me back to my childhood as it seemed every holiday we went on we seemed to see them at some show or other :)!!  Anyway, back to my card which is one of a collection I have designed for The Hobby House using some of the new Gorjuss Girl stamps.
This one is my favourite - look at that gorgeous hair and I love the clock too!!  I have coloured with Prismacolor Pencils onto Kraft cardstock.
Everything I have used on the card is from The Hobby House, the gorgeous lace, pearl trim, clock charm, button and flowers!!  The sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps and the leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Careful Gorguss Girl!

LOL "Careful Gorguss Girl" is what I thought when I saw this stamp - must be my Mummy autopilot kicking in - well she does look rather precarious on all those books!!  This is the last card in my collection for The Hobby House using the gorgeous Girl's Paperie papers and Gorjuss Girl stamps.
I have coloured the image with Prismacolor Pencils onto kraft cardstock using the burnishing technique.
The stunning rhinestone edge is from The Hobby House - I just love this one - so useful!
I added some gorgeous lace, flowers and ribbon from The Hobby House and some butterflies punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Gorjuss Girl

Woohoo!  At last it's the weekend - it seems to have been a very long week!  I have another Gorjuss Girl card to share from my collection for The Hobby House.  The papers are by Girl's Paperie and I've sewn all the edges and distressed them with walnut stain distress ink.
I have coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and inked around the image mat with antique linen distress ink.
The gorgeous swirl is from The Hobby House and I added some tiny roses to it here and there.
The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and the lace, along with all the roses are from The Hobby House too.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Have a lovely weekend. x

A Gorjuss Girl for Everybody Art Challenge

I have a gorgeous Gorjuss Girl to show you today from a collection I'm making for The Hobby House using scrummy Girl's Paperie papers.  I think these papers have to be my all time favourite papers ever.  I have some in my stash myself but can hardly bare to use them LOL!  Everything on my card is available from The Hobby House.  I am entering my card into the Everybody Art Challenge who want to see Shabby cards.
I've coloured the image with Prismacolor Pencils onto kraft cardstock.  I'm really pleased how this turned out - I didn't blend with sansador this time but tried Chris' burnishing technique from a recent Magnolia Ink and I much prefer this way of colouring with pencils than blending - thanks Chris!
The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and I added some lace and flowers from The Hobby House.
The gorgeous corner swirl is a new item from The Hobby House and there are lots of gorgeous designs to choose from.
The gorgeous rose ruffle trim is also from The Hobby House - this one is my favourite colour but it is available in several other scrummy colours too!  I've sewn all the edges of my card and distressed with walnut stain distress ink.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Gorjuss on a swing!

This is the last card in my little collection for The Hobby House. Again, all the papers, and embellishments are available at The Hobby House! The shape was created with a Go Create die and the papers are by Girl's Paperie.

The image was coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and I added some stickles to her shoes.

How gorgeous are all the flowers!? Oh and I have to tell you about the pins!! Jill now has pin wheels in THE most gorgeous colour schemes!! Not the usual bright colours - very, very, very gorgeous pastels and rich shades like the burgundy red I've used here. Not just hearts either but "teardrop" ones too. (sorry, don't know the correct name LOL).

The cute little flower in the middle of the bow is also from The Hobby House and I added a tiny half pearl to the middle of it. The sentiment on the tag is from Whiff of Joy.

Hope you like it and you've enjoyed my little collection of cards! I'll be back tomorrow with another creation for the Simon Says Stamps challenge so hopefully you can pop back then! Thanks for looking! x
