A Flimsy!

Oh My Goodness,
I am just tickled pink with this flimsy!  What fun I had with this wall-hanging.  I loved every second. Loved picking out what block to make. Loved picking out what colors to use in the block. Loved picking out the barn colors. Loved picking out the sashing fabrics.
I loved it all!!

Now, I have not trimmed it yet because I do not know if I should add a border? and what color binding?
Advice please!

So Close!

So close!!
Here are my last three barns that I have made for Lori Holt's Quilty Barn Along.
They are yet to be trimmed!

I decided to stop at nine as this is going to be a wall-hanging.
Here is my layout.

I realized as I was working that I have hand pieced all of these blocks! So, I decided to continue and hand piece the sashing with some of my

I love these fabrics, so bright, fun and happy. I hope to show you the flimsy in the beginning of the new year. Note, I said hope!!

Do you.....

Do you have a small home town Grocery Store? Where when you walk in "everyone knows your name"? Even though we live in a large town, we are lucky enough to have this type of store.
The best meat in the world. The best bakery. The best deli full of fresh yummy home made food. Sweet corn, fruit and vegetables from our local farmers. I love this store. You can never just run in to pick something up! There is always someone you know. Or in my case, they know me and I have no idea who they are! LOl!
I love to bring the grand-babies in, they have a treasure chest and when you check out you can pick a prize!  Even Maggie at the age of 17 remembers the treasure chest.
I walk out of that store just feeling happy!  yes, very happy!

Oh quilting, yes!  I did make another barn.  I love pinwheels. This is Number 7 in Lori's Quilty Barn Along.

Have a wonderful weekend. Do something you love.

My First Barn

This is so much fun!
Thank you to Lori from
for this fun project!

I made my first barn! It took a little longer for me as I hand pieced the barn. I know me, and I can get better matching of seams if I hand piece. Here she is...

I can't wait to make another!
