Digi Choosday Challenge –Birthday Celebrations!

Hello….again! J Here I am with post number 2! Phew!

It’s Choosday and as I mentioned in my previous post the team are celebrating Polkadoodles reaching the grand old age of 7!! Oh yes! As you can see she is all dressed up to party with hat and her balloons (merged behind her in Craft Artist) although she doesn’t look too enthusiastic about the whole thing.  Don’t worry, a few margaritas later and she’ll be fine. J

Digi Choosday Challenge – Ribbon and Lace!

So onto the creative stuff and I needed an anniversary card for my brother and his wife this month and as it is a celebration that will probably be accompanied by some sort of alcoholic beverage I decided to use the fab celebrating couple from the WINSTON DELUXE FULL COLLECTION to make a rocker card (quite appropriate after a few glasses of champers I thought).

I decided to decorate and embellish an MDF plaque which I stole pinched borrowed from my mother’s stash to make a wall hanging! She did say, “Oooh I have an MDF shape like that” to which I said (but not out loud), “Not anymore you don’t!!!” J

Well anyone who ever visits me knows that I do love my dies so this was not a difficult one for me.  I decided to use a brand new purchase of mine (Ooops!) my Tonic 'Deco Geometric' layering die set to create an ever decreasing aperture look.

 My boss turns 60 soon so this card is for him using the wonderful WINSTON FULL COLLECTION! He is an avid fisherman so I chose to use WINSTON BEAR GONE FISHING! He also has a very bushy grey moustache (ex-Army, say no more) so I just had to add one.  Yes that grey thing on Winston’s nose is indeed a tash and can be found in the Personalities section of WORK AND PLAY 7!

I’m hoping that he recognises himself!

I can’t believe that Easter is just around the corner already! This year is really picking up speed isn’t it!  So for my project this week I chose to make an Easter bonnet/basket thingy using one of my fave of Nikky’s gorgeous downloads THE WINSTON FULL COLLECTION!  Oooh love all those lush papers!!! 

Anyway, I made something similar to this in a post here so thought I would give it another go using the cute little bird images that can be found in the collection.  I thought they looked a bit like Easter chicks so coloured them appropriately and had them bursting out of some eggs!  It’s no yoke (oh dearie me!) J

Dig Choosday Challenge – Week 8: Anything Goes!

[Huge apologies to my teammates for the lateness of my post! All sorts of horrible things happened yesterday involving my beloved dogs so I am completely out of sorts today and forgot to schedule this!! Sorry again!]

For my project this week I decided to decorate a little wooden box that I have had since Christmas. It was full of chocolate gingers but they lasted all of 5 minutes (yum) so it was now lost and lonely and begging to have paper stuck all over it! So I obliged! J

The image I used is called Winston Bear Get in Touch and is available as an individual digi or on one of my fave of Nikky’s design kits the Winston Full Collection (2^nd yum)!

I also made some little (4” x 4”) cards to go inside. They are all of the same design, ideal for a quick way to stay in touch!

Ah, spring, I remember it well! I think we are all looking forward to it now! I’m so sick of having freezing fingers!

So for my make this week I decided to decorate gift bag.  Haven't done one of those for a while!

 The stunning image is Libby Carefree which you can purchase separately but she is also available as part of the super girly Fredericka CD Collection.  I also used one of the papers from the Winston Full Collection (such scrummy colours), cutting out some of the butterflies to 3D. 

Her basket is actually full of mushrooms (the non-poisonous varieties of course: she knows what she’s doing) but as this was a spring theme I filled it with flowers instead!
