HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY POLKADOODLES (the sequel)!

Good morning everybody!  How’s your Sunday going?

I am back again with part 2 of my ‘scratched up’ image posts to celebrate POLKADOODLES 7^th birthday!

 As this anniversary is normally called the "7 year itch", the Polka Doodles team have embraced the prickly feeling by scratching that itch and mixing/scratching up some new images ... get the pun? 

The birthday celebrations will be running for 2 weeks and each day someone from the Polka Doodles team will be sharing their “mixed/scratched up” image. 

To add an extra layer of itchy fun, everyone has also been colouring up the new “scratched/mixed up” images, (still not knowing who designed them) and they will be sharing via their blogs and on FaceBook.

We really have scratched things up ... new merged images, no one knows who created what and no one knows when they’ll be sharing them ...!

My project features the image that I created using the gorgeous CINDERS, the coach from WORK AND PLAY 9 - LOVE AND KISSES and a shoe from DOLLIE DAYDREAM GIRL TALK all manipulated in Craft Artist.

The colouring was influenced by the fab papers from the SERENITY FAIRY WISHES collection.

So I’m usually here with my  DIGI CHOOSDAY post (that will be posted a little later) but right now I am here with something a little different…….

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY POLKA DOODLES!!

YAY!!!

Corny we know but the team have had great fun. So to embrace the “itchy scratch” the Polka Doodles team have thrown caution to the wind and “scratched up” a different kind of birthday celebration.

The birthday celebrations will be running for 2 weeks and each day someone from the Polka Doodles team will be sharing their “mixed/scratched up” image. It’s been all hush hush and secret squirrel too as no one knows who has been busy creating what and when they will be revealing their image... so the Polka Doodles team get to join in the fun too.

So here is my effort using a fabulous merged image by one of my uber talented teamies!  They have used the gorgeous SERENITY PRINCESS and the door and mushroom embellies from the MAGIC GARDEN CD-ROM. Very clever and Nikky has been putting some of these 'scratched up' images in THE SHOP at a special price so pop over and take a look! Oooooh!

I have made one of my diorama/shadow box/theatre card thingy (not its real name) and some of the gorgeous embellies and papers from the MAGIC GARDEN CD-ROM.

Digi Choosday Challenge – Winter Birthdays!

Good morning!  Hope all is well with you and yours!

So I dug out one of my fave 8x8 circles cards again for my make this week.

This is the gorgeous SERENITY RESTING who is probably more suited to the spring or summer so I had to winter-fy her up a bit.  I gave her winter pansies in her hair and dressed her with sleeves and gloves and stuck her in a snowstorm.  Kind of me don’t you think!

 Now I have to admit that this did not turn out as I had originally planned but then what does!! This was going to be an aperture tent card with the image sort of suspended in the middle.  Did. Not. Happen. L So it is now an aperture card with NOTHING suspended at all.  Except maybe disbelief!! J

Digi Choosday Challenge – Week 25: Tag It!

So we have to use a tag for this challenge. Ok simple you’d think but as I tend to overcomplicate most things (the inside of my brain is a very scary place to be) I decided to make a tag easel card using a total of 4 tags! 

The 2 smaller tags are a Sure Wilson Die but I had to hand cut the larger ones. There is also some seriously dodgy matting going on here.  Ooops!

I adore this collection from Nikky! These fairies are so incredibly beautiful and a must-have for all you colourists out there! There is also a new collection of divine Fairy-tale characters that Nikky has added to the website here so do check them out! Super lush!!
