The Paper Nest Dolls – Christmas Flower Ellie!

Hello there! Hugs to everyone!! 

Today I am showcasing on THE PAPER NEST DOLLS CHALLENGE BLOG for the last time. L I want to say a HUGE thank you to Leah and Christine and the fabulous team for having me; it has been a blast to work with such adorable images.

So for my final project I made a dinky round card using the super sweet CHRISTMAS FLOWER ELLIE. Awwww!

I have to say that it did take me a while to weave all that twine through those small holes, as I had to be careful not to rip the paper.  Note to self: don’t let the dog walk off with the twine reel in her mouth while you’re in the middle of threading; not helpful!! J

The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge #11!

Hello! How is everyone? Good I hope!

Today launches our new monthly Anything Goes challenge over on THE PAPER NEST DOLLS CHALLENGE BLOG ! As always we have a fab prize to offer our winner so check out THE BLOG for all the details!

My mum asked me if I could make her a bookmark with an angel on it, so of course I said no!! J  Well obviously I didn’t.  As a dutiful, kind and generous daughter (job description still under review) I found the perfect image called ANGEL ELLIE. Isn’t she an…..well…angel!! J

As the purpose of a bookmark is to save the page and not make the book impossible to close I didn’t add much dimension or frills to it.

Have to say I love it and it’s not often I say that about my stuff.  It is probably the colours, which I adore, or that sweet little face.  Either way my mum NOW says she does not want to use her as a bookmark in case she ‘squashes her’ between the pages!!!  Rolls eyes; shakes head; weeps a little!! J

Shopping Girl Ellie!

Hello there! I’m back again! 

So today I am showcasing on The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Blog! Yay!!

I decided to decorate a bag using the adorable Shopping Girl Ellie for my project this time.

I do love how she has lots of shopping bags but no handbag! Although she could have her credit card tucked in her shoe which is a trick my friend apparently used to employ when she was out and about in London! Not too sure why! Must have made her limp a bit!

So I decided to use the super cute Cupcake Ellie on my design this month! Look at all those sweet treats! Hope she’s intending to share!

I used another new die purchase from Tonic (I think addiction therapy may be in order) called Elegant Ovals. I used this to make my card base and used soft, blue greys and pinks to colour.

Hairdresser Ellie!

Hello there! I’m back again! 

So today I am showcasing on The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Blog !

Christine released some gorgeous new dolls on 12^th April which you can see here and I have used one of those sweet girls called Hairdresser Ellie.

I chose this image as it very evocative for me.  My mum was a hairdresser for over 30 years! When I was growing up (still a work in progress) she had her own small salon at the front of our house so the smell of perm solution and setting lotion hold a lot of memories for me. Not necessarily all good you understand.  The 80’s will always be a decade my mop would rather forget!! J

Fairly light on adornment this one but I did find a sewing shears charm in amongst some embellies which I think passes as a pair of hairdressing scissors.  Best not try to trim your bob with them though!! J

As it is Easter I decided to create an Easter project! Go me! I saw a design like this in the new Creativity Magazine so thought I would give it a go.

I used the super sweet Easter Bunny Ellie and made a box/choccie egg stall for her to stand before!  I think she may struggle getting those big blue ones into her basket!! J
