Digi Choosday Challenge – Week 30: Animals!

Just before I start I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who take the time to comment on my strange creations! It means the world to me and I really do appreciate it.  Unfortunately I have not been quite so generous with MY comments just lately but that is because I hurt my back while moving some furniture (note to self...that's what guys are for) so I have been struggling with the pain a bit. Getting better now though thank goodness so normal service should be resumed forthwith!!  You haven’t got rid of me yet!! Ha, ha!!

So anyway, back to the job in hand!  A couple of weeks ago our lovely Scatty Jan used non-Christmas images, the gorgeous ODDELLA GIRLS, to create some amazing Christmas tags that you can see here!  So being inspired by this I decided to use OCTAVIA MOONFLY UNICORN to create a non-traditional Christmas card! 

The papers, sleigh and sentiment are all from the FESTIVE HOLLYBOBS COLLECTION and I turned our OCTAVIA into Santa’s Little Helper!! Either that or she is nicking all the pressies!!! Oi, bring them back!! J

Digi Choosday Challenge – Week 28: Use an Old Collection/Something Old!

It’s Choosday so it’s time for a new challenge over at DIGI CHOOSDAY and our theme this week is Use an Old Collection/Something Old, so dig out all that old stash that you haven't used for ages and join us! So for my make this week I chose to use the very first of Nikky's Work and Play series WORK AND PLAY 1 featuring the fabulously cute FIREMAN JIM who is also available in a clear stamp HERE !   

I decorated a premade Kraft crate to make it looks like a house on fire and so our lovely Jim is coming to the rescue!! Although he has yet to successfully put the fire out! Come on Jim, don't just stand there looking cute, get a move on!! J

Oh Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the……sorry!

Hello!  Hope all is well with you and yours! Happy Christmas!!  It’s Choosday so it’s time for a new challenge over at DIGI CHOOSDAY and can you guess what the theme is? Yes this week it is Christmas in July! Well whilst basking in the summer heat I made an icy Christmas card using the wonderful PICKNIX 2: GINGERBREAD TWIST BUNDLE!  Wow there is so much in this collection that I was spoilt for choice but I knew I wanted to make a diorama/shadow box/theatre card thingy (not its real name) so I used the versatile scene and fun snowlady.

I put my snowlady at an angle so she looked a bit like a Weeble…. you remember those… they wobble but they don’t fall down!!! J

And talking of irresistible look at this uber gorgeous image from the very talented Nikky Hall! What a beauty she is! Her name is EDEN FAIRY WINGS and she is available individually or as part of the amazing value EDEN BIG KAHUNA BUNDLE.

Using elements from the BUNDLE I decided to decorate a gift bag.  I dry embossed the background paper and the gorgeous butterflies using two different embossing folders and heat embossed to frame the image with gold Frantage and Halo Glitter.
