Cutie Pie Challenge – Cute Delightful Doilies…..and a sad goodbye :( !

Hi there! Hope you are well!

Ok so this is a VERY sad post for me as this is my last as a member of the Cutie Pies Design Team.  I have made the VERY tough choice to leave the team as I have been offered another exciting opportunity that I could not turn down (more about that soon) so it was time to go.   I want to thank Lisa, Sue N, Sarah, Sue, Helen, Wendy, and Gemma, and newbies Shona and Kelly for being such fabulous teamies and for all the support and kindness they have shown me since I've been part of this wonderful team.  My first EVER design team to be exact!  So thank you so very much you gorgeous ladies and rest assured I will be stalking you around Blogland on a regular basis!!! Hmmm….sounds a little sinister that! J

Ok so before I start blubbing I had better get back to business.  The Cuties have a new challenge for February starting today and our theme this time is Cute Delightful Doilies!

We were privileged to be offered our choice of image from our sponsor Crafty Sentiments to use for this challenge and I chose to use Kaye - Springtime. Such a sweetie! I love her button nose!

 Ingredients:
Dies: Tonic ‘Nesting Circles’- Tattered Lace fence – Spellbinders border
Punches: X-Cut ‘Mini Butterfly’
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – Kraft - LOTV ‘Country Lady’
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Doilies – wooden butterfly – toadstool decorations - pearls

So don’t doi-lay (!!) and scoot over to the Cutie Pies blog to see all the wonderful projects created by the amazing team. Bye, bye lovely ladies, I will miss you LOADS!! L

Thanks so much for looking, and have a lovely day!
See ya!

Cutie Pie Challenge – Cute White on White!

Hi there! Hope you are well and had a good weekend!

We have our first challenge of 2015 starting over on the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog  today and our theme for the New Year is Cute White on White! (Yikes!!) So get out those cute images and the oodles of white stuff you must have and make us something adorable!!!

We have some fabulous sponsors this time so pop over to the blog to check out the amazing prizes on offer!

So after the post-Christmas ‘not-at-all-in the-mood-for-crafting’ slump I confess to struggling somewhat with this one! (Hence the ‘Yikes’ earlier!!) I have only ever made one other WoW creation in my life so I was a bit stumped.  However when I saw this little lady I thought she would be perfect for the challenge…….
I used the super cute Polkadoodles Work & Play Chef that is available as an instant download or you can print her from the awesome Work and Play 7 Collection.  This also includes tons of sentiments and elements, some of which I have included here.  However the apron is a 'Hopeless Hand drawing' which I have to admit looks a tad like Robbie the Robot...and look he's waving!!! J J
Love that sentiment!! Made my mum laugh!! J
Oh and by the way….those are supposed to be cracked eggs in the top left! Just in case you were wondering!! J

Ingredients:
Elements: Chef’s hat, Kitchen Jars & sentiment from Work and Play 7 Collection
Dies: Tonic ‘Nesting Circles’ & ‘Nesting Ovals’
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – Kanban stepper card blank
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Doilies – Martha Stewart air dry clay and cupcake mould
Hopeless Hand drawings: Apron!!

So cook up a storm and ‘fry’ (!) over to the Cutie Pies blog to see all the wonderful projects created by the team.

Thanks so much for looking, and have a lovely day!
See ya!

Cutie Pie Challenge – Anything But a Card!

Helloooo! Hope you are well!

We have a brand new challenge at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog  this month and our theme is Anything But a Card! So find a cute image and make it into….well…anything but a card!!

We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps
Now Bugaboo Stamps  were very generous and allowed the team to choose our own images for this challenge and I chose to use Kidz Christmas Boy and His Dog
The photo looks a tad odd as I had to hang my ‘bauble’ from a mini Christmas tree and this makes it seem ginormous!! Trust me it’s not! J
Ooooh too cute! Love that little doggie but he is wearing antlers and I do not endorse the dressing up of pets! (Rant pending…….please vacate the vicinity)

Now I am not a lover of clothes for dogs! Not only is it silly and undignified (I know embarrassment is probably not a dog emotion) but it is also likely to end in the ripping up of said costume and a need to plug in the Hoover and reassess your life! Dogs do not need clothes people………..they are NOT dolls or even slightly fashion conscious!  They are dogs! Besides, how silly are you going to look walking down the road with a terrier in a Santa suit! Nuff said!

Oh my! Anyway I am making an exception for this dog (he doesn’t seem that bothered….yet) and I decided to make a bauble for this challenge.  Extremely simple but I was a bit stumped with this one to tell you the truth.

Ingredients:
Dies: Couture ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White - Kanban
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Ribbon – Stickles

So bauble don't dawdle (!) and jingle all the way over to the Cutie Pies blog to see all the wonderful projects created by the team.

Thanks so much for looking, and have a lovely day!
See ya!

Helloooo! Hope you are well!

We have a brand new challenge at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog  this month and our theme is Cute Festive Furry Friends (bet you can’t say that quickly after 3 glasses of mulled wine!!) So find all those cute furry Christmas images in your collection and play along!

We are sponsored by Meljen’s Designs
Who are offering a fabby prize!

Now Meljen’s Designs were very generous and gave the DT some wonderful images to work with and I chose to use Cupid!
I fancied using my Derwent Inktense pencils for a change but made it difficult for myself by deciding to print the image 3 times! Oh yes!  And then, if 3 lots of colouring wasn't enough, I decided to fussy cut them as well!!!  Will I never learn!! J

Ingredients:
Stamps: Cupid
Sentiment: Personal Impressions
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Ribbon Banners’ – Tattered Lace ‘Christmas Village & Landscape’
Punches: Tonic mini snowflakes
Paper/Card: Crafters Companion watercolour card – various from stash
Colouring/Ink: Derwent Inktense Pencils – ‘Dusty Concord’, ‘Chipped Sapphire’ & Shaded Lilac’ DI’s
Others: Ribbon – bells - glitter – Stickles - gems

So saddle up your reindeer and gallop on over to the Cutie Pies blog to see all the wonderful projects created by the team.
