MUG look: Aguilera Marmelade

Hello!

Makeup Geek has again another weekly challenge, this time it's Christina Aguilera inspired.

I've always kinda loved Aguilera's look in Lady Marmelade video:

I admit that the hair is maybe a bit overdone, but anyway *g*

So I decided to to do my version of the look:

And close-ups:

I was planning to put more rhinestones, but I coudn't more than those :(
But it works fine like that IMO too.

And I guess I'm not gonna put this into the contest itself, this was just for fun :D

But anyway. I loved my makeup today.
I have somekind of neutral phase at the moment apparently :D

I also bought new contacts, they are dark blue, but they look almost black in my eyes:

I decided to use them today for the first time :D

( I would LOVE to have a hair like that, unfortunately that's jus a wig :( )

Then I tried to do another entry for Makeup Geek's Red&Black challenge, but since I didn't like the result, I'm not gonne post this into the challenge.

I used Stargazer red loose eyeshadow, Stargazer red eyeshadow, ModelsOwn pink e/s, MSCHIC's Vanilla Eyes Cream, Stargazers red eyeliner and PureLuxe's Avenging Angel superliner:

Black Star Haven

Another badly slept night. This time it was both my son AND my daughter who apparently saw some nightmares. And my son has ear infection, on his BOTH ears. :(

And my husbans is also ill, so he snored the whole night. So yes, I'm tired.

I got up early since I had to take by son to the doctor, so I wasn't quite wake when I made my makeup.

I wanted something dark and smokey, so I did this:

And I also got my StarGazer haul in mail today.
I found an auction of a 30 piece StarGazer makeup set. Final price was 22e (~ $32), and this is what I got:

(Quite horrible) Rainbow lashes:

6 eyedusts, 4 green (no. 17) and two different blues (no. 22 & no. 1):

6 jars of glitterdust, 3 orange, one pearl and  2 different greens:

4 glitter gels, 2 green, 2 golden:

 

9 jars of small stars, 2 purple, 2 blue, 2 red and 3 golden:

And two set of rhinestones:

Quite a haul :D

The Search for Puuuuurfect RED.

I got my (first) order from Stargazer today. Because of a misunderstanding, I'm getting set twice, minus the blue eyeshadow. Anyone interested? *g*

I have this endless search for REAL red eyeshadow, and I ordered almost everything Stargazer has in red:

Red Cake eyeliner

Red shimmer eye dust

Red eye dust

Royal Blue eyeshadow

This so screaming red that it's almost orange.

For some reason I thought  from the description photo, that this would be purple-ish blue, but apparently I was wrong. This is real blue.

Red cake eyeliner:

 

 

This feels more like eyeshadow than eyeliner IMO. It's a bit hard to work with.

Unfortunately this is a bit pinkish red, otherwise this would perfect. And it's has tiny silver sparkles in it, so that's flaw too.

Description picture is quite right. I haven't really tried it on yet, but it seems to ne waaaaay too shimmery.

I played around with the red one's, and came up with this:

I was thinking something for halloween, but I was too lazy to do a tutorial of that one :D

Instead I did a tutorial for this:

I did it complately in little over 6 minutes, so it's not anything too special, but it's still quite bold.

And one purple look just to soften this all down:

The purple look actually reminds me, I went to a MUFE wholeseller today.

I wanted to swach THE PURPLE (#92), but I have to say that I'm not that impressed. I'm not saying that it was bad, it was just... a bit PLAIN.

BUT. I swatched something to die for. MUFE Star Powder no. 90949. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a good pic of it, but that seemed to be THE PERFECT RED.

It was totally amazing.

But anyway, that's it for now.
