Today I go FREAK!

We all know how much I love Illamasqua's beautiful looks, so when I was asked if I wanted to do a look inspired by their Freak campaign, I said YES!

I took my inspiration from the lilacs and purples of the promo images (starring Illamasqua's muse Nic Endo), as well as all the flowers and other things from nature.
Here's my Freak:

The eye makeup is done using Illamasqua's Cream pigments Dab and Mould, Pure Pigment's Breathe and Zeitgeist, and Kontrol lipstick with a hint of Breathe Pure Pigment in the middle. And of course Purity nail varnish to bring a bit more freak to the look!

But what's the contest I was talking about?

Still alive (and a GIVEAWAY!)

.. I guess that's the most used title after the writer has been away for a while. :P

First I have to apologize that I've been  "gone" so long. I kinda found social life, enjoyed summer and friends, forgot to "paint my face" (mostly because it was too hot to even think about heavy makeup), fell in love with neutral shades.

You know the feeling, when you have crossed the line, and you feel almost impossible to continue, because you're so ashamed that you haven't done anything earlier? I have that feeling.
I really don't know what could I post that would make this up for all of you.
Maybe I'm taking too much stress of this, but that's just the way I roll ;P

I haven't forgotten you, and I promise to try my best to start updating my blog more often from now on.
I finally found my long-lost inspiration to makeup, and I have a couple of step-by-step tutorials ready, as well as reviews and swatches too.

MSCHIC Lip Kiss + chance to win YOUR favourite Lip Kiss!

I got three shades to try, and I picked Nougat (pearly nude), Venus Red (fuchsia with blue shimmer) amd Mandarin Red (orange red):

First of all, MSCHIC has new logo and style on their packaging:

I personally love the sticker that tells the color on the bottom!

Glosses also are scented with white chocolate (awesome <3), but the scent isn't too powerful. Texture is nice, not too sticky, but it still lasts nicely long time.

I love Venus Red the most, it's really fresh looking and glossy and it just looks delicious! Mandarin Red is a bit more opaque, great one if you want a hint of color without being too bold. Nougat is really light and glossy and shiny, great if you want nude looking lips without making a statement.

So I finally picked the winner of my birthday giveaway!

I always feel kinda bad that I can't give something to all of my readers, but unfortunately I'm not that rich :P

How to make lips to look like this:

First nude lips, just a hint of foundation/ powder on them:

Then I line my lips with red pencil (even if it looks pink in the pic, it's really quite firetruck red). I used some brandless pencil, definately nothing fancy.
Note that I don't fill the middle part of the lip with pencil:

(Here the color shows up little better) Then I take black pencil. I usually use eye liner pencil, since i haven't found (nor do I really need) black lip pencil.
I carefully line the outer corners with black, also blend the black in well, so the result is smooth.
Again, do not put black in the middle of your lips:

Then finally add lipstick/ gloss, I used Illamasqua's Intence Lipgloss in Perform :
