Spring is in the Air

What a beautiful day we had here in Kent yesterday, the sun shone all day and it was really warn proper T Shirt  weather, lets hope it is a sign that Spring is here.

So thinking of Spring I was inspired to make this card.  The Digi Image is from The Paper Shelter Spring & Summer range and is called "She's Charming" these Digis are fantastic value as you not only get the Jpeg Image but also Png image, coloured image, backing papers and a ready to print page layout all for $3.

The papers used are from Nitwits Collections Snow Princess,  the papers have been used to make the 3 roses which were diecut with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms Die and I haver added 2 Doo Hickey Swirls ( I have tried to find someone who is stocking this Die but have had no luck).

As usual I have used Copics to colour the image colours and link below.

Doo Hickey Swirl - from Stash
String of small pearls from stash.

Feeling A Tad Grumpy Today

Morning Peeps, before I start I must tell you its not me who is grumpy its the little fairy who is throwing a strop.  This is a Digital Image from Paper Shelter -  A Little Bit Grumpy, she reminds me of Lucy when things don't go her way, I bet you all know a little girl like that.  The sentiment is a wooden Stamp I bought ages ago and I'm not sure where I got it from, I have a few more like this with really brilliant kids saying.

As you can see this weeks obsession is coloured hair, might try Aqua next.  Have managed to use a few more of my enormous stash of Magnolia Papers

Copics were used again to colour her with a touch of Polychromos pencils here and there, think I am getting the hang of Copics again, I must admit I nearly threw in the towel when I first started but glad I persevered.

Lots of embellies and a couple of dies used, I also tucked some, pink tulle, that I found in my ribbon box, behind the image.  The Butterflies  and sentiment were edged with Green Copic pen using the chisel end.

Material Used:

Magnolia Papers from Stash
Sentiment Stamp from Stash
Green Flat Back Pearls from Stash

Copics:
Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50, R20
Hair: R85, R83, R81
Dress: YG17, YG03, G20, R83, R01, RV0000
Wings: BV02,BV01,BV00, BV000

That your lot folks, have a good day

Your a Star - Inspiration for LOTV Facebook April Card Challenge

Well this time I have made sure I get the LOTV  Facebook April Card Challenge right and have used 3 COLOURS, Lilac, Aqua, Ivory.   I do hope you have time to pop over to  facebook to find out more about the challenge and join in with us this month.

For a change I used H20's to colour todays sweet image, and tried to go a bit vintage, I was a bit heavy handed with the distressing of the fabulous Butterfly Border, and couldn't find my Tim Holtzs distressing tool anywhere, so I used the blade of my scissors to distress the papers it could be better but I will persevere with trying to do vintage as I love the look.  A doily cut from Joy Craft Cutting & Embossing Butterflies Dies has been tucked right behind the Aqua backing papers.  The papers are really old Magnolia 6"x 6" sheets, the Ivory lace is from my stash, I have added a little Stardust Stickles to the edges of the flowers.

Here is the recipe with links:

Didn't realise how many embellies I used, just got carried away.

Anyway time to get on with some serious stamping thanks for visiting

Just Dropping By

Good morning all, a very quick post today, got some new stamps that need colouring, I am so impatient, I know, but when the urge comes I am afraid I have to give in to it.  One of Lili of the Valley Returning Friends Stamps today, such a sweet bunny,  The photos are getting there although this one is a bit light at least its in focus.

Balloon Bunny , has been coloured with Copics, the Papers are from a Lili of the Valley Paper Pad which I am afraid is no longer available but I think it is still available as a download from Nitwit Collections - the collection is called Promises.

The ribbon is from a cheap reel I found at the Range, lots of other colours available, Flowers are from Stash and finally the leaves were cut with A Joy Craft Die - Vintage Flourish Leaf No:0046, available from Noor Designs UK

Copics Used:

Bear: E74, E43, E42, E40, R81
Mauves: V15, V12, V000

When All Else Fails There's Football

A bit late today, in fact I wasn't sure if I would have a card to post, but found some spare time this afternoon, so its back to Lili of the Valley Sneak Peeks.  This is going to be the most useful of the new Stamps for me as 3 of the Grandsons are avid football players and fans, I cannot say I am enamoured of their choice of teams, 2 support West Ham and the other Tottenham, as a life long Arsenal Fan you would think one of them would side with their Nan.

Enough Football and down to the card, I have used Oliver - Kicking About.  with Sentiments from Teenage-Boy-Sentiments, there are 30 sentiments on this sheet lots of unusual but useful words.  Oliver has been coloured with (Copics colours below) and is a very simple layout for me, just one die and no embellies I had to sit on my hands to stop myself adding anything else, ended up having to have a stiff cup of tea after finishing.  The Banner was cut with a Joy Craft  Cutting & Embossing Die - Banners from Noor Designs UK

Copics Used

Hair: E18. E15. E51
Jacket: E43, E42, E40 Dk Brown PC Pencil
Trousers: E74, E71, E70
Trainers: E43, E40,
Rucksack: Y28, G81, E43, R89, R39
Football: C8, C5, C3, C1
