YES!

My oldest grandson just got himself engaged to a beautiful young lady and I have the priviledge of scrapping their engagement page.  I suspect I will have the priviledge of scrapping all their pages in the future and I am really looking forward to that.

I have used the Monday sketch challenge from Creative Inspiration to create this layout. I choose S.E.I. Black Orchid papers for this layout.

I started with a sheet of black Prism cardstock and I used a piece of cardboard stencil that I found lying around, I don't know where it came from. I mixed Daler-Rowner Simply acrylic Mother of Pearl Structure Gel with Gelatoes and used it with the stencil to form a border on the lower left of the page.

I then used my Kreations circle cutter and Kreations stencil to cut the frame for my photo, and glued those together.

Then I fussy cut some flowers from the paper to use. I wanted a bit of a variety.

Here is the finished layout.

Here are some close-ups of the finished layout. Click on the photos to see a larger version.

Mommy and me

Such a gorgeous Saturday morning here with the sun brightly shining but it is cold, very very cold.
I decided yesterday to do another one of Sketches in Thyme sketches. I really loved this sketch. I am starting to like these layouts with lots of empty space instead of the heavily loaded pages. I never used to like them, I always felt that something was missing.

I started with a sheet of pale yellow Prism cardstock, and used a TCW stencil with Simply Acrylic Mother of Pearl Stucture Gel.  Once that was dry I smudged on some Lindy's Maidhair Fern Green ink.  Then I cut a couple of strips of PhotoPlay Roxie and Friends Paper. I distressed the paper a bit and adhered it to the cardstock. I cut a couple of flourishes from a cut file from the Silhouette store with my Cameo and adhered those, then I made a couple of flowers with a cut file with my Cameo and picked some from my stash and adhered those, until I thought it looked good. Then I cut the title with my Cameo and adhered that to complete my layout.
