Creative Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creative Inspiration Blog Hop.

HI ... Welcome to the Saturday April 7th Creative Inspiration DT BLOG HOP challenge.
For my challenge I have created a Lovely spring tag.
I first prepped the tag with Gesso and then used Faber-Castell Gelatoes as a water color. I then used a TCW stencil with Dowler Rowney Mother of Pearl Structure Gel coloured with yellow Gelato on the tag for a bit of depth. I had some mesh lying around from some fruit so I used a small piece of that.  I use a few pieces of chippies from Simple Stories. Also some Ribbon.  The flowers are from the Dollar store. I made my own leaves from cardstock.  The tassel is from Pink Paislee.

Scrap Scrap Scrap!!

Yes, that is what I do.  There is nothing more relaxing and fun then taking a photo and then placing it on a page to display it in a beautiful way.  I really love what I do and to be able to do that for someone who really likes what you are doing for them is so very gratifying.

For this first one I used paper from Studio75's Sweet Home collection. I took a TCW stencil and sprayed the background with Lindy's Starburst Bachelor Button Blue mist, I also used the same mist on Jelli Bean Soup's alphas. I used punches from both Martha Stewart and Recollections for my edges.  Flowers from Petaloo, Prima and some unknown were added to the page. I stuck a bit of bling from Basic Grey on the center of the large flower. A rub-on from Pink Paisley seemed to be just the thing for the bottom right corner of the photo. A bit of unknown ribbon tucked behind the photo and some faux stitching with a black Pitt Artist Pen was all that was needed to complete this beautiful layout.

This next layout was such a fun one to do. I rarely do layouts with multiple photos but I had all these photos of Skylar playing on the playground and I didn't want to pick just one or two. So a multiple layout was in order.  I choose KaiserCraft's Seaside collection for this one.  Mainly because I only had a little bit of it left over and because this layout only needed a little bit. Both the Baker's Twine and Clothespin are Recollections. The 3D stickers are from My Mind's Eye and I used a white Jelly Roll pen to write around the border and to do the faux stitching.

This little boy is so darned adorable and such a sweet topic to scrap.  I used papers from Little Yellow Bicycle's Fern Forest for this adorable page.  Once again I used a TCW stencil (I love their stencils) and this time I used Liquitex's Coarse texture gel on the background for added texture. I sprayed the stars with Goosebump's shimmer texture spray and adhered them with Pop Dots. The fibers are unknown. The sticker is from Karen Foster and I cut the title with my Cricut and the Stone cartridge.

I love this photo of Skylar with this grandfather. Bob looks so happy to be down on the floor with him. I wanted to make sure that photo was the focal point of the layout.  I used papers from Imaginisce for this layout. The cardstock stickers are from the same line. I used two different punches, one from Ek Success and Kreaxions Punch #919.  The doily is from the Dollaram and the fiber is unknown.

Yes, I finally found a couple of photos of Brayden in the mix of photos that she brought me, and delight of delights, it was his baby picture!!! :)  Everything on this layout is from Crate's Little Boy Blue collection.

Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit. Please leave a comment and let me know you were here. All comments are welcomed.

Gotta Love Scrapping Kids

I know I really love it when I am scrapping the little ones.  My mind wanders back to when my daughter was small and how precious she was.. not that she isn't precious now but she doesn't live with me now and she she isn't wandering around now saying those cute little things or doing those little things that always made me laugh.

I have so many photos of these children to scrap that I am going to be remembering my daughter for a long time to come and therefore I am going to be enjoying my scrapping for a long time.

This first layout of Skylar with his two younger Siblings, Leah and Brayden is just too sweet. It makes me wonder if having only the one child was a wise choice.  Yeah, it was, I would never have been able to handle more than one.. heck I couldn't even handle just the one.

I had some fun with this one but alas I didn't keep very good track of what I was using... Me Bad!!What I do know, I used some Pink Paisley, some Echo Park, a little Basic Grey, and I also used a TCW stencil with Liquitex natural sand for texture. I also used a die to cut my banner.

For this next one I couldn't help think how Skylar looked so darn cute all decked out in a Fireman's outfit and how Janet never thought of being anything but a teacher. Even her second year of College she was still studying to be a teacher. Before the third year though we convinced her that that was not her niche. From the time she was 9 years old, she was into computers. She just had a thing with them, it was like she was born to them. Nothing about them escaped her tiny little mind. At nine years old she told a salesman at a Sear's store that he was going to have a "syntax error", he told her he knew what he was doing, yet he DID have a syntax error. She is now 40 years old and has never had to look for a job, it has always been headhunters looking for her. Yeah, she is very comfortable in her computer "niche".

I give you "To the Rescue".
For this layout I used Basic Grey's Serenade papers. The alphas are also from the same line. I used Momenta's Die Cuts. To cut the large background I used my Cricut Expression with the Storybook cartridge. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the little border. I also used a TCW's stencil with Liquidtex molding paste for some extra texture. The faux stitching was done with a Pitt Artist Black pen. To Attach the alphas I used Tombow glue.

Thank you for visiting my blog, please remember that all comments are very welcome.
