Last card today using the Sizzix Ink and Bloom set. This time I stamped and coloured the flowers and then die cut them out, I used alcohol pens again. I then made a card base and matted some card and then using a circle die cut a partial circle from the folded side. I cut another larger circle in acetate and stamped my sentiment with Stazon ink. I then arranged the flowers to make a wreath and attached to acetate. I did make a circle frame to go on back to hide the glue. It was finished off with another little sentiment stamp.

Sympathy Card
This is the third card I did using the Sizzix Ink Bloom set, this time keeping it very simple and suitable for a sympathy card. I stamped the flower cluster six times and used the die to cut them out. I did a little colouring, mainly in the centers and I kept it all green. I cut the background card and then die cut the circle before running it through the embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment on the card blank, added the embossed layer and then arranged the flowers to make a wreath. They are attached with foam pads.

Hoppy Easter
I brought this Sizzix die ages ago in their sale and I used it to make some Easter cards. I made a versions of Sam's from Mixed Up Crafters panel tower fold card. I did two colours versions and they fold completely flat for posting. I found a little egg stamp to make the eggs for the rabbit to hold. The die set has a teddy in it as well and they are meant for holding a lolly or some sweets but I adapted mine.

Introducing Theodore
I hope you are keeping well and all your Christmas preparations are done so you can relax now. I have been using some Tim Holtz dies for some special Christmas cards this year. Today say hello to Theodore, not your usual die for Christmas but its very adapt for my son. He is currently enjoying life in snowy Alberta Canada and often see bears when he is enjoying the countryside . Theo is one of the colourize range of dies from Tim Holtz , that means there is a selection of dies that make up each layer, each plate is labelled with the colour card you need to cut. Alternatively you can cut all in white and use distress inks to colour each piece. I used the Tim Holtz 8x8 pad of Kraft coloured card and sanded each piece and then inked around edges. I made a stand up box card, it folds flat for posting. In the Sizzix sale as well as getting Theo, I got the mountains ( trees are included) for around £3.00 extra and these work really well in the background. I used a cloud die to make a stencil to create the sky background and a die for the snow. There are a range of other animals and for this Christmas there is a Winter Wardrobe set of dies to co-ordinate with the animals to kit them out for the seasons festivities. The earphones were a must as my son is never without them. I am just praying after all this work he actually receives it, I did send it last month.

Lisa Horton Postage Slim dies
Good moring, today I have the third card from a recent kit using the Sizzix Floral Layers die. This time I went with a landscape DL sized card. Slimline cards are really trendy now but the american slimline dies are not the same as our DL size. Lisa Horton has brought out a range of different edged DL slimline dies and this one is the Nested Postage set with apertures. For this card I just used the outside edge and the stitched inner one. I had some fabric looking card I brought at a show years ago, so I teamed that up with some Kraft card. Again I die cut the flowers in White card and inked them all in different shades of Pinks,Greens and yellows. Its finished off with a sentiment from Creative Expressions . I have another card I will be posting soon using the apertures, but I need to wait for the recipients to get it in the post before I blog it .

Sizzix Floral Layers
My card today is one I did for a kit this month. It uses the Sizzix Layered Floral die and it has been cut out using some of the card from the Crafters Companion 12x12 tonal pads. I die cut a stitched square die for the background and blended some ink across the top corner. I used a two part sentiment stamp set in the bottom corner and finished off with some clear Nuvo drops on the petals and leaves.

Santas Helper
Today's card is the last one in my cute/whimsy series I did for a kit recently. It features the Elf die and the presents from Tim Holtz. I used some more papers from the Christmas Wishes pad and cut the Elf in a plain grey card. I die cut some of the bows in gold mirror card and finished off with a sentiment along the bottom.

Centre flap card
If I am honest I'm not sure what they call this card but I am going with centre flap card. Its A5 in size and the front flap opens up to support the card. I used the Sizzix Stocking die again and I added some holly from the Winter Foliage die. I also used the little tag that comes with the stocking. I die cut some more of the velvet paper for the trim, you could use felt or even puffy stuff. Love this colour combo, finished off with some little red gems for the berries.
