Born in Sanok, Poland, Dominik Wania began the piano at age three. Graduated from Krakow Academy of Music in 2005, he was awarded the next year with the Helena Foundation Presidential Scholarship at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston where he pursued Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance. He released June 2013 his first album "Ravel” (Maurice Ravel’s "Miroirs” arranged for jazz trio) and received in April 2014 the Polish Cultural Television prize "Gwarancje Kultury 2014″ and 2 FRYDERYK awards for Jazz Album of the Year.
