Dave Brubeck Quartet - Live in London (1966)

A complete never before released 1966 concert by the Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond recorded in London. The material for the show consisted of versions of classic songs like “Take Five”, as well as tunes rarely recorded by the quartet, such as “Out of Nowhere” and the group’s only existing live recording of Brubeck’s own composition, “Softly, William, Softly”.

Fritz Pauer Trio - Blues Inside Out (1979)

Born October 1943 in Vienna. Started to take private piano lessons when he was 5 years old. Studied violin, guitar and clarinet, but decided to be a professional jazz pianist at the age of 16. Playing in Fatty Georges All Star Band from 1960 to 1962 gave him the possibility to be able to play different styles. Among his sessions as a leader, the most famous one remains "Blues Inside Out" (MPS, 1979). Fritz Pauer passed away on the first of july 2012.

Amina Figarova Quintet - Jazz At The Pinehill Live In Europe (2001)

Azerbaidjan native Amina Figarova is one of those jazz artists who is versatile enough to play electric pop-jazz one minute and acoustic bop the next. The pianist's straight-ahead side prevails on Jazz at the Pinehill: Live in Europe, which documents a 1999 concert in the Netherlands. Jazz at the Pinehill is a solid, likable bop outing.

Sebastian Weiss Trio - Polaroid Memory (1999)

The German pianist Sebastian Weiss presents his debut album in a trio affair, Polaroid Memory. All ten of the pieces are Weiss originals and each one manages to travel the road less taken. From the start, Weiss and his cohorts offer a fresh perspective on the piano trio format. Unusual for players of this age, Weiss, bassist Bob Bowen, and drummer Dan Weiss never engage in showy displays of technique just for the sake of thrills, instead they let the creative process develop naturally along the lines of the chart at hand. Fresh and ambitious, Polaroid Memory is well worth a listen.
