Rose

Good Morning and welcome to Jayne Designs.
The start of a new week and a new challenge over at BBTB2.
This week our lovely Glenda asked us to make a cricut project with a rose.

In my household a yellow rose represents true love. Now I say that for a reason
as when I looked up rose colour meanings, it was a whole different thing!!
I'll run with my interpretation as I like it best and it was the reason I chose the colour!!

Most of  you know my 'special' relationship I have with my Gypsy...
but since I only have Indie Art on it I  had to use it! Let's leave it at that shall we?! lol
The rose shadow was welded and layers cut at 5.82" ( just bizarre!).
K&Co papers, inked and dimension layers shaped with silicone glue.
A touch of diamond glaze.
Leaves cut from flower shoppe and crackle glazed and then rubbed
with vintage photo distress ink.
Sentiment from Teeny Tag Greetings from My Creative Time.

Do check out my talented Design Team sisters over at BBTB2 and  come and join in the fun
with us. We love to see your creations.

Thanks for stopping by.

Reindeer Christmas Card!

Hi,hope your week is going well. I decided to make another christmas card for My Pink Stamper  and to help me get ahead with my stash. Lots of you may remember  my Reindeer Treat Box which you can click Here to see if you don't. Thought I would make a christmas card to match and I like how it turned out.

Apologies now as you know I'll have to make a Santa card to match my Santa box!!!

Recipe

Reindeer shadow from Doodlecharms welded to make base card at 4"(Gypsy - Ha!)
Layers cut, embossed and attached with 3d foam for lots of dimension.
Everything inked
Nose - glossy accents(sorry it wasn't completely dry before I took the photo which is why it's cloudy)
Wild Rose studio stamps
MS branch punch
Rain dots
Twine

I think he is gorgeous! He's also so simple to make and I am going to make a few of these and the boxes to match.

Off to see what you are up to.
Thanks for looking.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi and happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. We are still having a heatwave ( I'm just ready for autumn to start again now!).
I don't work on a Monday and was super busy with chores and bricklaying over the weekend that I decided to have a leisurely day.
I was taken out for lunch to a lovely pub right on the sea front and it was just fabulous.

When I got home I had an hour before doing the school run and decided to make a Christmas card to enter over at My Pink Stamper. Robyn is having a christmas card challenge to help us get ahead with our christmas cards.

Well, you know how much I 'love' my gypsy!! Not!! But I did get it out to design this card and it went well this time....ooh except for one small detail..I'll come back to that in a minute.

How cute is that red cardinal,I think it adds a lovely touch of colour.

Recipe
I welded and flipped the shadow cut of this tree from Winter Woodland. Now, I struggle with sizing the layers because even if I put in the same size the gypsy says it hardly ever turns out right for me!
So I thought I would be clever and put the width of 1 tree in as 3" before I welded. My shaped card cut out well and I decided I would cut the layers from the cartridge, the only thing is that's height not width....see not so clever was I? The height on the gypsy read 4.3" so I cut at 4.25". Learnt that lesson, Lol!
I ran the blue of the tree through an embossing folder and inked all edges. The 'snow' was cut from DCWV glitter card.
The red cardinal was cut at 1" - chopped his legs off! Ha,it's a good job he can fly!
Popped everthing with 3d foam and stamped the inside with Emma's Mixed Holiday Sentiments from My Creative Time.

To show the dimension.

Thought this showed the glittery snow better.

I'm really pleased how this turned out and think I'm going to make a few of these as they are so quick and easy!

Thanks for calling by.

Big Top!

Hi Everyone, hope you had a fabulous weekend. Sorry for the lack of posts, just seem to be really busy. If I don't make it into my craft room on a Monday(my day off) then I just struggle for time! My son starts senior school next year so we are looking at schools and trying to decide where to go,so lots of open days/evenings.

This morning I took a look around some of my favourite challenge blogs and decided to make a birthday card to enter.
Die Cuttin Diva's - challenge #33 Having Fun at the Circus
Birthday Sundaes - challenge #28 Use buttons- birthday card
My Craft Spot - challenge #27 Use ribbon

So I came up with this Big Top card....

I decided to use the circus tent cut from Create a Critter and use my Gypsy to weld and make the shaped card and layers....enough said...almost didn't happen as so many problems along the way, fortunately I am stubborn as a mule and refused to let it get the better of me and eventually got there. My Gypsy and I are not the best of friends!!!Heehee.

I embossed the layers and inked all edges.Added white seam binding ribbon (tricky to say the least as I wanted it to look as if it was flowing) and buttons.
I added a horse button as I thought it reminded me of one you would see at the circus. But this is what it looked like before I did.
If anyone wants to know sizing just drop me an email or comment and will dig out my (hidden in the bottom of a drawer) Gypsy. Couldn't face switching it back on at the time of writing this to look!! Lol.

Have a great Monday.
Thanks for looking in.
