Gratitude

For my FCCB click here.

The talented and lovely Susan has set this week's challenge and it is Gratitude.
We are to create a cricut project for something/someone we are thankful for.

I have lots of things to be thankful for ...Family,Friends,Health,Life

My project today is for someone that I am so very Thankful is in my life..my Son.
I had a very difficult pregnancy and was lucky that both he and I came through it.
Ossian was 12 on Friday and this is the card I made for him....

He took up golf this year and is obsessed with it. His handicap is down to 14 and he is playing for the County. He has been invited to Prep school and School of Excellence for talented players with the potential of taking it further. His birthday card had to be golf!!
He also plays football and is captain of Havant Hockey and goes through for County trials for them in January. Yes,we do run around a lot between all this, work and school!!

Many of you will know that I have a difficult friendship with my Gypsy at times!! Lol. But I did pull it out to make this card.

I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Wrap It Up for the cuts. I have to apologise because I have mislaid my recipe ingredients for this project. If you read my previous post you will know about the building work and I think I just 'filed' my ingredients. I will post them when they reveal themselves!

I would just like to say thank you to Donna and Carole for their leadership and friendship at BBTB2.They are handing over the reins to Susan who I Know will take good care of it.Carole is remaining on the Design Team with us(hurray) and Donna is moving on :(.
Donna we will miss you at BBTB2 and wish you well.

Do check out all the wonderful inspiration from the team and link up your thankful project with us.

FCCB Boo Spectacular

Good Morning, hope you had a great weekend.
Today is a new challenge over at FCCB and we want to see your Halloween projects using the colours orange and black. As we are a cricut challenge blog  you must use a cricut cut on your project.

The grave shaped card and layers were all cut at 3" from Wrap It Up. This cart has so many cool cuts including shaped cards and boxes.

Mr Owl is from Happy Hauntings at 2". Ranger balack enamel for the eyes.

Just wanted to show all the layers! The cobweb and sentiment are from Treats For My Sweet stamp set from My Creative Time.

Do check out all the inspiration over at FCCB and do hope you will come and play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.

Throwback Thursday Colour Challenge

Hi Everyone,hope you've had a great week.
We had lots of fun over the long weekend and it has certainly made this short week fly!!

Whilst my son was away in a golf match(we have gales!!! - no surprise..the course closed part way through the match!!). I decided to make a card to join in with a challenge as it seems a while since I have.

I really liked how this card turned out and was going to give it to my son, then realising how close Father's Day is  and the fact I have loads of extra days at work coming up before the school hols start, thought I needed to get a head start and turned it into father's Day instead.

Recipe
Wrap It Up - bag at 4"
Fence at 3"
All Around Everything stamps and scalloped die from My Creative Time
Embossing, sanding, inking, doodling and lots of 3d foam
Machine stitching to echo stitched die
Golf ball brad

Sorry about my picture quality but if I set up my light studio I wouldn't have time to post!!

I am entering this over at Emma's Throwback Thursday - use an older
cricut cart (see ..no Wild Card 2 - heehee!) and a colour challenge.

Also entering this over at CardzTv -#10 My Guy

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs

All other cuts from a cuttlebug halloween die

Make A Wish

Hi,Happy Thursday. Today I got my gypsy out and made a card! I'm not good at using it that much and it often winks at me when I open the drawer!! Well it had an outing today.Lol!
I knew what I wanted to make...a birthday candle card.

I love how this turned out. I'm going to make a few more of these because I don't know about you but I still never have a last minute card to hand when I need one!

A close up of the ribbon, pin and sentiment.

I welded the candle from Wrap it Up at 9" to make the card and then cut another one to cover the front. As always everything inked and 3d foam to pop the flame.

I am entering this over at Fantabulous Cricut where the challenge this week is Birthday Bash.

Sorry,I know this is photo heavy but I just wanted to show you this last piccie. I love crystals and have them around my craft room and the sun is shining(although I don't think it will be for too long) and they make beautiful prisms and this just happened to fall as I took this photo. Doesn't it just make the candle look as if it's lit?

Have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Jayne x

Happy Retirement

Hi,well where did that week go? I still can't leave comments for anyone. Still admiring everyone's projects but so sorry as blogger just keeps going in a continuous loop everytime I try. Hope it's sorted soon.   I have a retirement card for a colleague of mine. In the UK people traditionally received carriage clocks as a retirement gift and although this is now outdated I ran with a similar theme.
The clock and all layers are cut at 5" from Wrap It Up cricut cartridge. Everything inked, doodled and clock popped on 3d foam.
I am entering this over at Celebrate The Occasion - #15 - Retirement. Do check out the great DT projects.

Have a great weekend. Another long one!! Yay! Hugs, Jayne x

Baby Girls

Happy Friday! Where does the time go? Hope you've all had a good week.My husband's work colleague had a little girl this week, and I was asked to make a card for the team to send. Thought I had a few days to make it, but at 10 last night, hubby asked if I had made it as some of the guys would be out of the office next week!
Wrap it Up is a cricut cart that I really wanted and sent to the States to get(as the new carts nearly always take longer to be available in the UK),but have barely used. Hangs head in shame! So for a challenge I did a few days ago,I used the fence cut. Since it was still in my machine I looked to see if there was anything suitable for a baby card.....and there's lots. This is what I came up with.....

It is a 8x8" card, which is pretty big for me.

Apologies for the photo quality but it was still dark this morning when I took the photos before hubby went to work! Double click on them for more detail. I took a side on view to try and show the dimension.
I am entering this card into Cricut Chaos Cartridge Challenge  #13 at Two Scraptastic Gals  - use either Wrap it Up or Storybook.

Card Recipe
DCWV papers,inked and sewn.
Pram & It's a Girl - p.23 Wrap it Up
Pram embossed,sanded  and inked
Ribbon
Gems
Lots of 3D foam

My cousin is about to have a little girl anyday now,so today I made a smaller(5x5"),similar card ready.

Think this one shows the colours better as picture was taken in daylight!! Lol.
Have a great weekend,thanks for looking in.x

Spring Scene

Hi,have been very busy with work and had today off and played tennis with my son and a couple of friends. Ossian,my son, stopped to play with his mate afterwards which meant  I could make a quick card.
I decided to try making a card which would fit 3 challenges.

My Sheri Crafts     challenge#52  - use buttons
Fantabulous Cricut   use the colours, pink, green and yellow and make something 'springy'. They have a spring fling cricut crawl going on,so do pop over and see what fab things the designers have made.
BBTB2  - make a card using  an egg cut from a cricut cartridge

A close-up to try and show all the dimension..

Card Recipe

Fence & Grass - cut@ 3" - Wrap it Up
Chick - cut@ 2" -Just Because Cards
Eggs - cut@ 3" - Doodlecharms
Fence & grass embossed
Paper  - zigzag stitch sewing
Flower buttons tied with raffia
Everything ink distressed and lots of 3D foam
