FOSTV112 - Tent Card



My card today uses 3 Marks Finest Papers sets -
Ivy and Blossoms,
Brick Wall Mini and
In My Den

 

Our challenge this week is a tent card and there are instructions at Splitcoast if you need them here

I made mine as a Christmas card as we have many friends and neighbours with cats.  I used a photo for the back panel as I don't have suitable MFP stamps but I did add the chair from In My Den.

I used dies for the window and the cats.

FOSTV83 - CAS

Today's challenge at Friends of Speedy TV is to make a CAS card - Clean and Simple.  Now occasionally I find this easy but this one was a challenge.

I wanted to make a card for Dave for our Anniversary (yesterday) and I was trying to capture "our song" "You're in my heart" by Rod Stewart.  All I managed was the YOU firmly printed on the heart from the Love, Love, Love stamp set.  I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and a simple piece of blue ribbon (blue for his football team) fastened into a masculine brad.  The card base was embossed with a Spellbinders folder. I used the VLVJul2013 Week 2 sketch.

The chorus of the song for those of you who don't know it goes like this

You're in my heart, you're in my soul
You'll be my breath should I grow old
You are my lover, you're my best friend
You're in my soul

Still appropriate after 34 years of marriage!  We took a trip to Littlehampton, walked by the sea, got sprinkled with rain a couple of times and had romantic fish and chips out of the paper sitting on a bench looking out over the river.
