VLV Week 4 for December

I need quite a few Thank You cards right now as my MIL needs some and so do we - good to need thank you cards don't you think?

I used the last week of December's VLV sketches to make one of these using a Cuttlebug embossing folder that I have had for some time and rubbed distress ink over it.  The sentiment and star are from Verve and are stamped with Memento ink.  The border is cut using Spellbinders dies.

Thank you for checking this out.

VLV Week 3 for December

This card was made for week3 of the VLV challenges for December.  When I suddenly remembered I still have to make week 4 I realised I hadn't even posted week 3.  All this Christmas preparation and bank holidays and weekends really messes with your head!  Annoyingly after making this card I lost one of the dies.  All 3 were there and the next morning when I went to put them away the middle one was gone - I have looked high and low - it has gone to join the small music note stamp from MFP that decided to fly away a few weeks back!

Hope you had some good times with family and friends and my heart goes out to you if you had no power or worse still were flooded out.

High Hopes - Student Card 2

Here is another card made for one of my Maths students.  I have again used a High Hopes Santa and this time I have used the Week 1 VLVSketch for December.

I have again used the crazy Maths paper. The added snowflakes are from Chocolate Baroque. I am again entering it in High Hopes Challenge 197.  Thanks for looking.

Blue Christmas

I have been playing with my Cricut to get a few more Christmas cards done and while it was out I  made a card for hubby today.  I used the Cricut Teresa Collins December 25th cartridge to cut a snowflake and used the left over piece for this card (by design!).  I used Chocolate Baroque stamps on the inside piece with sparkly embossing powders.  Sadly some sparkle rubbed off when I added the background inks and it is hard to see the sparkle that did stay in the photos.  The heart was also cut with my Cricut and stamped with snowflakes from Chocolate baroque.  The sentiment was generated on the PC.

I used the sketch from VLV December Week 2 and  I used the challenge colours from this week's Speedy Fox and Friends - Blue Christmas.

Thanks for looking and I hope you are getting through your to do list and having time for some fun!
