Dziś mam dla Was niecodzienne wyzwanie

na blogu Retro Kraft Shop:

należy stworzyć wpis art journalowy. 

Czy to będzie wpis z samymi słowami, 

czy ze zdjęciami, czy z rysunkami, to już zależy od Was. 

Dodatkowo trzeba wykorzystać koronkę - i tu również 

zostawiam Wam pełną dowolność, 

czy to będzie koronka syntetyczna, czy bawełniana, 

kolor również pozostawiam Wam.

 Trzecią wytyczną jest użycie kolorów rdzy. Ja użyłam 

pasty z efektem rdzy z zestawu Finnabair,

 ale użyte przez Was media mogą być dowolne, 

byle przypominały kolorystycznie rdzę.

You can use any art journal's base, any lace 

(any color) and rusty colors. 

I used Rust Paste Set by Finnabair,

Winged art journal

Witajcie!

Dziś mam dla Was wpis art journalowy 

wykonany w starej książce. Zawsze staram się wybrać 

książkę, której sztywne okładki pozwolą na dużo 

przestrzennych wpisów. Karty przygotowuję pokrywając je 

warstwą białego gesso. Tym razem wprowadziłam też 

akcent koloru dodając plamy i chlapania Distress Oxide 

w pięknym niebieskim kolorze. Tym samym tuszem 

wykonałam stemplowania i wzór numeryczny 

wykorzystując maskę.

Do starego zdjęcia dodałam tekturki - skrzydła motyli,

 dzięki temu wpis ma niepowtarzalny, magiczny klimat. 

Całość uzupełniły metalowe dodatki i mikrokulki.

Tym razem wykorzystałam też inne ciekawe media 

- farbę akrylową Art Alchemy Sparks, którą pochlapałam

 moje strony dodając im błysku, a także wosk, który

 naniosłam na krawędzie papierowych i metalowych

 elementów.

Hello!

Today I've prepared for you my art journal spread in 

an old book. I always try to find a proper book, with hard 

cover, it makes my art journal more permanent. My cards

 are covered with a layer of white gesso. I've added some

 color by splashing and painting with Distress Oxide in 

beautiful shade of blue. I've stamped with the same medium

 and I've used a piece of sponge to apply some Distress Oxide

 through stencil. 

I've mixed an old picture with chipboard - butterfly wings, 

it gives a touch of magic to my art journal spread. 

In the end I've added some metal cogs and micro beads.

This time I've used some interesting mixed media products 

- Art Alchemy Sparks paint, I've created some splashes with

 it and wax, which I've used on the edges of my paper 

and metal elements.

It's time for a challenge at Finnabair & Friends group :)
Together with Finnabair and the whole Creative Team,
we'd like to invite you to a new series of creative challenges
that is beginning today!
It's called Designers' Faves and on the last day
of every month one of my Teamies will be sharing
their favorite inspirations, techniques, ideas
and creative guidelines.
We will be playing and sharing all the beautiful artwork
in Finnabair & Friends Open Studio facebook group.
This month it's me who's suggested a creative challenge
and it's called "Go For The Gold". :)
Why I chose gold for you? I just love when my projects
sparkle and shine. Gold can add a beautiful touch of
a vintage feel which makes my artworks look as if they
were grandmother's art nouveau treasures.
Finnabair's Art Alchemy paints have the best gold
glimmer of all the acrylic paints I've had. Once you use
then, you won't be able to stop. They give a beautiful
lasting coverage and the moment you're painting with them,
you're already planning the next project.

The rules are so very simple:
- please use Gold in any way you want.
Your imagination's the limit - you can paint, emboss,
use embellishments, glitter, flakes or nail polish - you decide!
Just make sure that gold is the main focus of your piece;
- use acrylic paint - any color, any way.
That's it! Simple, right?
I hope you're already thinking what to make. :)

You don't have to use Finnabair's products to be elligible
for the prize. Creative vision is what matters the most! :)

The challenge starts January 31st and lasts till February
14th - 2 weeks for you to join in and I so hope you will!
